Man am i glad i dropped this horribly ran tournament. You guys suck at running tournaments. You could have had this tournament done with in one day. Instead you guys wanted to be stupid(if your wondering if i am insulting you the answer is yes) And run this tourny for weeks with only 8 freaking people??? Pathetic. Ive heard some news about the person who is running this tourny and i dropped out. Smart me. If the rest of you had brains, I would suggest you do the same as this tourny will take forever to finish or might not ever finish. Scrubby nonsense. Stop trying to run tournys if you dont know how to properly run them.

I'm doing my damn best in running this tournament but ultimately it's up to the players involved to make it happen. Do you honestly think I can force players to do their matches to make things move faster?
Yes I probably could've had this tournament done within a week or less. People have lives, timezones are a bit in the way for some of us but we're moving.

This isn't the hardcore Smogon community (or whatever they're called) so go there for your tournament fix. You sound like you need it. The last thing I need is a person that signed up just to bitch infront everyone in this thread.

I've done Nightofshadow the favor of thread banning him in case he wants to show continued interest in disruption over contributing anything constructive.

He's just one of those guys going around for battling, he won't be back.

I can't say that I'm sad about it.

Either way, with grammar like that, it's hard to take him seriously.

Wow, if anybody somehow doubted that Pokemon requires skill AND luck, they definitely needed to see our games. My Pokemon were frozen, criticalled (not a word, I know), and failed to hit your guys so many times. :tpg:

My luck definitely took a major u-turn in the third game! However, I still feel dirty about winning that one singlehandedly. Steven (my Salamence) shouldn't have gotten as far as he did, even with the stat boosts. =(

Oh, that suits me fine. I slept poorly last night and am feeling kind of sluggish tonight.

And it turns out I have to work tomorrow after all, so I don't even get the liberty of staying up.

I have no idea if Elmoogle PM'ed you about your match but he PM'ed me saying that he has dropped out of the tournament. Bad timing and being busy is more than likely his reasons. Same for Rua.

And we only had 2 more rounds to go :(.
Welp, we can finish off this tournament if you guys want. Here's what the next two rounds (rounds 6 and 7) should have looked like.

So basically we're down to three matches altogether:
Crash Landon VS. Chaotic
Crash Landon VS. Kairyu
Chaotic VS. ^-^

After that, I'll add up the points and death toll~ then I suppose we can call it quits :).
With only 5 of us remaining I see little reason to finish off any ties through a single elimination match. I still want to brainstorm/attempt at another and hopefully less lengthy tournament!

I'm having a epic battle against Crash right now. And we only finished one match so far! He barely won with one pokemon left in his arsenal.
My personal high point of the match was freezing two of his pokemon with Ice Beam and having Quick Claw work just in time :tpg:.

As for this tournament there isn't much left to do. I'll tally the scores and update the score page once I finish battling Crash~ After that, I think we're done.
I'm open to ideas for the next one provided we have more players interested in playing.

Nice playing everyone. I did learn one thing in all this, do not use round robin as the tournament format (Swiss or single elimination works MUCH better and faster.)

I'm excited for the next tournament. I have a bunch of new Pokemon I'm dying to use.

I expect that, had Rua stayed in, the final results would've been much different.


Also, the amount of haxxing in last night's game against Kairyu was unbelievable.
His Miltank Body Slammed my Breloom. I got Paralysis and the Miltank was put to sleep by Effect Spore. There were also incidents of hax poison, freezing and burning.

On the plus side, Protect worked twice in a row, for once!

Unlike the Focus Sash-Hydro Pump you tried pulling on me during our battle. :)

I can't believe I didn't KO Viceroy. T_T

I swore I had the match in the bag the way Equinox was regulating the battle. Calm Minded at least twice and it burned everything in sight. Yet it dies from a critical hit move ._.
