I don't think they had all the songs, to be honest. I wrote out the list under monitor light so I apologize if I mispelled any songs before people start jumping down my throat about it.

Any word if the GH3 controller will work with the other Guitar hero games? Only controller I have is the PS2 corded one and I know there hasn't been a successful add-on for the PS3 to hook the guitar up to it.

Personally, I'm a little surprised there's no mention of Stairway to Heaven, since in GH1 they joked about not playing Freebird, and GH2 joked about Stairway and... well, had Freebird in it.

I thought it was a funny typo, wasn't really bashing you or anything. Because I started writing a "The Meat" song in my head (where you basically replace stuff like Techno and Punk with Poultry and vegetables :p) Unintentional hilarity!

I'm looking forward to playing it. I'm going to a Guitar Hero tournament Saturday Night at a gamestop near me that is having a midnight launch. Someone got the game early and has been posting videos left and right on youtube. I watched a few of them and it looks like it's going to be the hardest one yet. Speaking of which, Metallica's "One" is in the game, and it has a ridiculous solo :D

I'm gonna try my best to get a good spot on the leaderboards. Hopefully with all the new code, there won't be any glitches or cheats to ruin the leaderboards like what happened to the 360 version. I'd probably be in the top 200 out of the 600k people if it wasn't for the glitch (and the fact that I don't play often :/)

I've pretty much given up hopes of being an awesome Guitar Hero. My pinky doesn't feel like cooperating with me half the time while also my PS2 is DYING as I have a little lag sometimes going on a few random times.

I'm still debating about throwing down $100 on this and whether or not if I'll play online with you guys. (I'm still trying to get on LIVE in general and that's not happening as I planned on. :|)

Yeah, same here...I fired my pinkie and I just shift my other three fingers down the frets whenever possible (I only use it when I get a scale of 4-5 notes in a row). That was when my scores started to improve a lot. I've got to the point where I feel like I'm mashing, then I look up and I still have a streak alive. Then I overstrum from the excitement. :tpg:

I'll probably end up online, since I'm really interested in Rock Band (and Puzzle Fighter!), but for now, it's PS2 for me. No plans on cracking the leaderboards, unless I get snowed in and I end up with endless free time to get amazing at it.

I started doing that subconsciously, myself. Although I'll admit I haven't moved up to hard mode yet, I still play on normal. I don't know if I'd be able to handle tagging the orange fret when it gets tossed out. Maybe if I play a bit more seriously than I do, I could...

The solo for Metallica's "One" is just insane..... Just... insane.

GHIII was also released on the PC. So i assume it has been leaked and people are downloading it and giving it a go. It also shouldn't be that difficult to play on the PC as long as you have a guitar controller.

Mininova has one with about 12 seeders and 32 leachers. Estimated download time of 20hrs. Don't know if it's legit or not, but it seems alright, no obvious signs that it's not the real deal at least.

I actually got one from mininova thats about 4gigs but when i burned it the first disc wouldn't load at all on my ps2. The second attempt at it was successful but the game takes long loading times and takes even longer saving so I don't know weather its a bad copy or if my burner is messing up on me @_@

I'll probably download this for ps2 at some point. I won't buy it because I don't really like the new look, and it's too expensive for the few songs I actually like on this one. I hoped that with Guitar Hero 2 on Xbox 360, they would continue to release new songs online. GH2 was a great game and I enjoyed most of the songs on it. I will have to settle with customizing GH2 for now...

Meh, GH2 was great and all. But there were WAAAAAAAAAY too many songs that people have never heard of before. I know some poeple like that, but on a personal note I found GH2 to be the better one to play, but GH1 still has the best songs in my book.

Therefore I can't wait for GH3 with so many songs that defined the sound of modern rock (ie. One, Welcome to the Jungle, Paint it Black, etc.), and then modern rock that is some of the best material to date (The Metal, Through Fire and Flames [I still like Fury of the Storm better, but this'll do], etc.) all the while with an even tighter hammer-on system then that of GH2.

However, and excuse my language here, the lead male vocalist in the game is fuck ugly. I think they were going for some Mick Jagger unspired look or something cause this dude SERIOUSLY scares me.

You've gotta be shitting me... 79? ...I'm starting to fear this will end up being (to me, that is) impossible for me to beat. Jordan is still that way... at 58%.
