Full Spectrum Warrior - $6
SkyGunner - $5
Ace Combat 04 - $10
KoF XI - $15
XIII - $9

Combined they cost less than a Wii game...but I'll still never get around to playing any of them. :(

Luckily Skygunner is fairly short, even with all three characters. Start with that~

Full Spectrum Warrior is fantastic, but definitely requires time and concentration, even if the campaign itself isn't that long.

No. Hard Pass. Mar 17, 2008 08:48 AM

Qwarky is right. Play Skygunner and play it repeatedly. Slowdown has never looked so cool.

Dhsu Mar 17, 2008 09:12 PM

Heh, all right. I'm kinda torn on what control scheme to use, though...I like the flightsim-style expert controls, but the auto-leveling makes it practically unplayable. There's also this weird thing where your plane automatically follows the target if it's close enough, which really throws me off. Is there any way to turn either of those "features" off? I mean, seriously, isn't the whole point of the EX controls for people who *don't* want help with their flying?

My copy of Skygunner was stolen. I need to reobtain that somehow.

If you're never gonna play that Skygunner and it's complete with manual and artwork, shoot me a PM.

Dhsu Mar 17, 2008 09:30 PM

Sorry, disc only...got it in the cheapie bin at GameStop. :/

I bought Fifa '08 for Playstation 2 and I love it. The graphics I guess are not really the best quality but I do like the action. And I can be my favourite team, Arsenal.

RainMan Mar 19, 2008 06:59 PM

I just obtained Castlevania Bloodlines for Genesis. It's an incredible game. Very challenging with smooth gameplay, cool effects and a delicious score courtesy of Michiru Yamane.

I suck at it, but it looks to be a fantastic find.

Got my copy of Star Soldier yesterday. Played the hell out of it today. Won the game with 5 lives on Easy and unlocked the Boss Rush mode.

It's a bloody awesome game, one of the best PSP games I have in my collection.

I just bought the Metal Gear Solid collection from gamestop today. I was browsing the game selection during lunch and it was sitting there taunting me. I do own all 3 games already but these contain the enhanced versions of 2 and 3. Heck, I heard 3 is worth playing again with the completely controllable camera. Unfortunately MGS1 is 2 PS1 discs in a ps2 style case and it requires a PS1 memory card. PS3 owners such as myself don't have to worry about that part though!

The cover arts for each game are fucking amazing. The manuals on the other hand aren't all that great. Like MGS2's manual lacks the neat comic the original MGS2 manual had. Plus they are all in black and white compared to the originals that were in color. I might stick the old manuals in there just to make this awesome collection feel more complete. This shit is a STEAL for 30 dollars though.

I don't usually spend that much on videogames, as I either buy used or wait for a price drop, but this month was a weird exception:

- Unreal Pack on Steam - It was a really good deal since it includes Unreal Tournament 3 which costs about as mush as the pack itself (with the limited time 10% discount). $54
- Call of Duty 4 (PC) : I've been wanting this for a long time, but I was getting tired of waiting for a price drop (would've been no more than $10 anyway) $50
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl : bros b4 hos, man. $50

I usually pick up a few video games every couple of weeks all depending on whats available. What I recently picked up within the last few days are:

1.) Wild Arms XF

2.) NeoGeo Battle Coliseum

Ever since I picked up King Of Fighters XI I've been on the big SNK kick lately. I haven't been playing any of the games I've purchased lately. I'm trying to get Lifesigns for the DS and Valkyrie Profile 2 finished.

Valkyrie Profile 2 has been pissing me off as of late due to the fact that Freya + Ether Strike + high evasion = total blonde bitch.

I picked up SSBB just because it's new at Costco which means it's $43.95 instead of $50 like everyplace else. I'm not quite feeling it yet; I didn't realize the matches would usually last 10 seconds before the next round. But, I'm going to give it more time since it's apparently a megally-collosally-awesome title....

I got my hands on the Metal Gear Solid Essential Collection because I am missing the first two (or, just missing one and Substance is scratched to shit).

At least now I have three copies of MGS3, now time to track down a PS1 memory card.

Er, what? I've yet to see any match last only 10 seconds...

I finally caved and got the MGS EC. Never got around to buying Snake Eater after renting it, so now will be my chance to CRAB BATTLE.

Picked up Smash Brawl a while ago, just never got around to posting it. Enjoying it, but still haven't unlocked everything. Essays are done now, so i can work harder at it now.

Also picked up Silent Hill origins for PS2 for like 10 bucks. I've never played a Silent Hill game before, and i own 3. It looks like i'm never actually going to play them as i'm super anal about playing things in order.

I bought Blazing Dragons at a local game store for 10 bucks. I saw it before but didn't know much other than the fact that it's a graphic adventure based on a British animated series from one of the guys from Monty Python (Terry Jones) and has Cheech Marin in it as one of the voices.

I haven't played it yet as my PS2 doesn't want to read it. So whenever I get a PS2 slim I'll be able to play it. Hopefully.

Picked up Rouge Galaxy s few hours ago. Never heard anything about it, my friend has just been pressuring me into buying it for a while. It was 25 bucks so i figured why not?

Freelance Mar 25, 2008 10:17 PM

Bought 2 copies of FFCC Ring of Fates today. It's fun so far. I'm at Mount Vaal right now.

Also bought Digimon World Dawn. I lost my previous copy so I got Rocky to send me an used copy, but the package never arrived so I bought it again. Ah well, the third time's the charm. I'm going to rebuild my Digimon team and beat down Chaotic's team.

Frozen Memories Mar 25, 2008 10:32 PM

I forgot if this was the last time I posted but...

I recently bought Oblivion: Game of the Year Edition for the 360. It's... very, very addicting. I didn't really expect to like it... I'm pleasantly surprized.

I bought the Bringing Down The Sky expansion for Mass Effect. I beat it within an hour or so, it was decent and worth 400 Microsoft points. But nothing more, I wish they would have added another city or something for exploration, either way it was a decent diversion until something bigger comes out for the Mass Effect Series.

As someone who hated Mass Effect's sidequests, but loved it's main story arc, would I appreciate this added quest or not? I'm not entirely certain how much I'd like this, and I hear varied reports on it's quality. I've considered dropping some points for it, but I've been on the fence.

Bought Harvest Moon DS Cute last night. I wanted to use my Wal-Mart gift certificate but the damn store didn't have any copies so I bought it at Microplay instead. I never knew it was a budget title though, so that was a nice bonus.

I named my character Wolf
I named my farm Katina
I named my dog Zack
I named my cat Raine

I dunno why I have to name the cat since it never does anything >_>

Think I'm gonna use my cert. on RE 4 now.

Visited GameStop today and came out with Shadow of Destiny. Haven't tried it yet, but I've heard good things about it. I'm excited!
