You people have too much fucking time on your hands.

Animechanic Oct 9, 2008 10:38 PM

Oops, yeah. Got the order mixed up. Thought Bob went first since he flung the door open, but I see that wasn't the case now. So nevermind, you guys just have a knack for killing off Pang's unique monsters before he gets to do anything with them.

Edit @ knk: Shaddap you. I'm trying to help you get your hands on a weapon for a change.

Sticking my head in here because Pang is doing this in a funny order that makes things too complicated. Just drop both, you can pick them up when the fight's over if you want them back or want to stow them.

Drop battleaxe (free)
Drop shield (free)
Pick up greataxe (minor)

Pang's method was more like... picking the greataxe up while still holding an axe and shield, juggling the greataxe while dropping (or stowing) axe and shield, then pulling out greataxe even though it wasn't actually stored at any point?

Pang's the DM and whatever he says goes. But still Pang, that's just weird.

What interests me is that Pang said the Orc leader was bloodied after Bob landed the first hit on him. Either that was a mistake, or Pang is seriously underestimating you guys and throwing half-dead monsters at you.

Guess why this is amusing to me.

Animechanic Oct 10, 2008 02:35 AM

Yeah... that's the funny part. Pang didn't care. Neither did Shin, and he was the person I thought I was irritating.

So hi. I came back.

Feel free to inform me if my presence offends you, and I'll vanish again.

Well, I was kind of assuming he might want to hold on to his default gear in case the Greataxe thing didn't work for him, so I was looking for a solution that didn't involve dumping everything on the floor.

66 HP sounded like a lot :(

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Oct 10, 2008 04:10 AM

I was thinking that as the other corridor off the room we met lurker in clearly leads to where we are now, we could have sent a couple of people round that way and gone for a smooth pincer attack or something. Wouldn't have killed the orc boss any faster but would have been suave. I guess with the rogue gone we don't benefit quite so much from flanking moves any more though.

Zergrinch Oct 10, 2008 04:13 AM

Ah Pangalin, but your evil undiplomatic ruffian players took out 68 HP just like that, in 2 rounds :(

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Oct 10, 2008 04:27 AM

ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED - MERCILESS

"Kill an enemy leader in less than two turns without him causing any damage"

If you hadn't reminded us about action points that would have taken a whole lot longer.

woops, I made color commentary in the wrong thread

don't send "the Guild" after me

As penance it can be your turn to update the wiki article next.

The unmovable stubborn Oct 10, 2008 09:41 AM

Man you don't punish griefers by giving them responsibilities what are you doing

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Oct 10, 2008 10:01 AM

I dunno, a little responsibility here and there might improve his sense of self-worth and stop him making these rash mistakes in future.

No; it is mine; things are on the floor.

Sarag Oct 10, 2008 01:12 PM

I'm starting to feel guilty, guys. I'm having murderer's remorse. :(

The unmovable stubborn Oct 10, 2008 01:23 PM

Oh, now. They are only members of an evil and degenerate race.

FatsDomino Oct 10, 2008 01:31 PM

The greatest insult to them would be if you didn't go all out, ya great big pansy.

Minions were born for cannon fodder, blame the gods.

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Oct 12, 2008 04:56 PM

That wolf next to Bob and Gabriel is dead right?

FatsDomino Oct 12, 2008 05:26 PM

Only one wolf has been killed as far as I know. So no.

Critical Hit! 35 damage, wolf extremely killed

AP + Bolstering Strike skipped on account of being hilariously unnecessary

I.... I almost feel bad.

Yes.

Dead.

Just you know, you kill the enemy, but then it still stands there flickering for a few seconds

that's all :(

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Oct 13, 2008 04:50 PM

I'm going to laugh if after all that carnage the wolf kills Soggy.

knkwzrd Oct 13, 2008 06:52 PM

And I'm going to cry myself to sleep :(

Sarag Oct 13, 2008 08:12 PM

Maybe you should've thought to pick up your shield to protect yourself.

What sort of warlock are you, that a backwater cleric can outthink you?!

knkwzrd Oct 13, 2008 08:15 PM

I have a two-handed weapon. I'd have to spend a turn equipping and unequipping items every time I wanted to go from attacking to defence. I'll pick my shield back up after the battle, but having it on me at this point wouldn't have done any good.
