It may have something to do with the IN GAME menu, you need to select CONTROLLER inside the actual game I think.

And like I said, I am willing to help out lowbies. Alot of new people are coming into PSU and witht he 1UP cup, you can level up ALOT faster. So what if you're level 10? Alot of people are probably lower than you. Whether you wanna start over or keep the level 10 is up to you. Keep in mind in expansion you can change your char's face with meseta, the only thing locked is their proportion.

While it does have monthly payments, this game is NOTHING like FF11.

And why were the servers down? Was there a crash while I was asleep? Maintenance doesn't occur till thursday nights.

Its under Subscriptions. But I think you need delete your old subcription and make a fresh NEW one. Do not worry, your character is not linked to your subscription, so making a new one won't delete them. Subscription is all about the payment and whether or not you can login to your game.

well I just finished patching the game so I'm going online now. If I remember correctly I'm a female beast named "Philia", I remember that I have a Cast too but I don't remember which one is higher level. Anyway I'll see in a few sec and I'll check for you Kairi Li and of course I'm on PC ^^

How missions work
So, the club gets opened, and some freaky music is playing. You're like "wtf :(" (unless you have BGMs off). You see Hal on one side of the club (an item NPC at the other) as well as universe change and PP recharge cubes. What do you do? Take upskirts of Hal? Not yet. Unless you want to. But, I did that already ;o.

So, you walk over, and talk to Hal. Tells you about missions, and such. Asks you if you want to go to VR or exchange rappy feathers. Or if you just want to buy her a drink and talk about life (In other words, ask about the cup).

You select the first option. Which somehow magically takes you to the game counter. You select the mission from there. Let's fast-forward 15 minutes after you finish the mission. You only got A rank because you were running around like a chicken with it's head missing. WHOOPS. That's it. No EX. Try again.

What happens in a normal cup mission:
- EXP is increased 250% (x2.5)
- Three difficulty settings: A,B,C (Lv requirements: C: no req, lv25 monsters. B: lv35 req, lv55 monsters. A: lv55 req, lv100(105?)+ monsters)
- You need to collect 3 'chips' (disks/samples/whatever you call them)
- Time limit is in state
- You get ranked at end of mission on a 10-scale. 8-10 = S. Anything less is a lower rank.

How EX Missions work
- Enemies have a 500% droprate.
- Enemies have 1/4th HP.
- Enemies have 1/4th EXP.
- Enemies spawn continuously in a small area.
- You have a small amount of time (2-3 minutes IIRC)
- Each time you defeat a few monsters, boxes appear!

So wait...how do I get to EX?
This is something people just don't get. And other people are spreading wrong information about it. It's really quite simple. Just get an S-rank reward on a normal cup mission. That's it. You get to EX.

To make this simpler:
Start mission -> Finish mission -> Get ranking of 8-10 -> Get S reward -> Leave mission area via crystal -> You're back at a mission counter! -> Leader select EX mission type (1, 2 etc) -> You're in EX mission!

Final words
I hope this clears up a lot of confusion I have seen on the boards. I will add more info, or answer any other questions people have. Also, before people say this info cannot be true or such; I've played Famitsu cup o/.

As for your gamepad, you need to switch to CONTROLLER on your IN GAME menu options. You're also better off asking someone on these forums, PSO-WORLD forums than to ask Sega themselves.

That was the dumbest reason for the controller to not work.

Basically it thought I was controlling with my Wiimote and nunchuck (yes, I can do that).

I don't have a job. Although..PSU's billing doesn't hurt my wallet. I tried reactivating in august. Some screw up happened with the processing and it never went through. Did it three times. It said "subscription update" but I've not been charged and my account is still inactive. So I gave up.

Try cancelling your subscription and make a fresh new one. If you had a change of address, don't forget to update the info on your account.

Ideally I'll be off work in about 8 hours and playing. Best bet is to find me via Xfire. I'm going to look into running the same missions that Kairi Li and I ran with her Canalia.

Man I really need to get my install disc back... some of those new male outfits look like they came out of Pirates of the Carribean.

It's pretty nifty that they are bringing back costumes from PSO (is this going to be PSOU??).

I really like 17.jpg and 22.jpg <3. Can't wait for AOI to come out, sounds like it's definitely going to make PSU more enjoyable to play.

I say 1UP would last probably about a month, and like Firebreak, more 1UP missions wil release after a fortnight from the beginning of the event. I would know cause the 2nd set of missions can yield you 30 rappy feathers if you S it.

Rappy feathers are needed to get the last set of clothes at 1UP. Miss those clothes and god knows when we can get them again. The clothes are the Bikini swimsuits, Rappy suit, and Formal wear.

And again, I am urging people to come back to this game.

Lukage, the Dalk Falkis Co Op mission gives good MP as well, and alot more EXP than Her Secret Mission at the Neudaiz Guadians HQ. Canalia is currently at that lobby so she can spam MP till shes maxed out her Guntecher. Alot of people are there as well. Its the current HOT SPOT.
