The end all to WWE logic is quite simple.

Send your bullshit old talent to training or the retirement home. Bring in OVW and other developmental territory guys and give them a shot. Package them up with a gimmick, leave a few old guys around to give them the rub, and start building new stars.

This is what they should do, contrary to the assrape they continually do to people that watch their show. I don't even need to name names at all. It's time for a change of scenery, period.

Slash Jan 18, 2007 03:34 PM

Time for more WWE firings...

David Heath (Gangrel)
Mike and Todd Shane (The Gymini)
Doug Basham
Tony Mamaluke
Al Snow (wrestling anyways, he will still be a trainer though)

So far thats all of the WWE releases

Such a Lust for Revenge! Jan 18, 2007 03:45 PM

Man, FINALLY ran into this thread after so much time. Almost four years since you guys started this.

So, I've basically been out of the loop since early 2004 on this. What is the current state of things in the wrestling business?

Slash Jan 18, 2007 04:17 PM

One word can probably sum it up very well...

Crap

Add to the released list
Terkay
Jazz and
Rodney Mack

Darsh Jan 18, 2007 08:56 PM

Thats insane that they released Sylvester terkay, that guy seemed like he had more than enough potential for the wwe belt and as a monster heel.
Also, what the hell is Monty Browns new name? I heard it and it translated in my head as some gibberish that mimics his old name, and did he just win the match with a simple arm bar? Holy hell.

Such a Lust for Revenge! Jan 18, 2007 11:07 PM

is hhh still bein abusive¿

Kostaki Jan 18, 2007 11:49 PM

No, he actually had a child with Stephanie McMahon so he dropped out of the title scene and has just been fucking around now since the birth of the child a while back. He was supposed to go back after the title this year during Wrestlemania but suffered another quad injury on his opposite quad like the one he suffered in 2001. So he's out of action for another 4-6 months.

If anyone's being abusive now, it's Vince McMahon himself.

His name is Marquis Cor Von (Marcus Corvon) but is going by The Alpha Male. Yes he did win with an arm bar but don't forget, Paul Burchill won alot of his matches with an Armbar type maneuver.

What i thought was funny was that he was wrestling Cassidy Riley...another TNA name, who was doing quite well.

Kostaki Jan 19, 2007 04:43 PM

The only reason they gave him that name was so that they could "own him." Yes, own him. They want the intellectual property rights and trademark rights to whatever the hell they do.

Also, Bam Bam Bigelow is dead. :(

Slash Jan 19, 2007 04:51 PM

Lame to the max Kos...

turns out C.W. Anderson has been released as well

dagget Jan 19, 2007 05:28 PM

Ha jeez, Bam Bam dead. :( I watched Major Payne the other day and saw him on there. Had a thought of what if he would come back (hopefully TNA). :(

heh, Jazz and Rodney Mack fired too, Tatanka as well.

SuperSonic Jan 20, 2007 03:53 AM

I didn't even realize that people like Jazz, Rodney Mack, and Gangrel were still around in the WWE. I thought they left years ago.

Bam Bam...and he was 45. :( Man, if this keeps up people will be afraid to be in wrestling organizations.

mortis Jan 20, 2007 04:17 AM

Sad to hear about Bigelow. It's amazing that all the big men are gone now. Yoko, Bossman, Earthquake, now Bigelow. I am concerned for Vader because he's around the same age, and he's the last big man (cept for the Big Show) I can think of that has been in wrestling for a while.

Such a Lust for Revenge! Jan 20, 2007 10:12 AM

When the fuck did Earthquake die? Man, Bigelow's dead! He was such a super fucking heel. I remember watching the first King of the Ring when Hart won with a victory roll on Bigelow in the finals. Then Lawler attacked him with some sort of ninja during the crowning. That really sucks. These big fuckers need to take care of their hearts.

mortis Jan 20, 2007 10:51 AM

Earthquake (John Tenta) had cancer for a couple of years. He passed away from it last year on June 7th.

SuperSonic Jan 27, 2007 07:49 PM

Anyone remember Typhoon? He's still around too, and he's about 50 years old now. Also...I've been watching some old WWF ppv's and I realized something else that doesn't happen anymore. Titles are not won/lost at house shows anymore. Remember when Diesel won the title from Bob Backlund and we didn't know about it for a few days? I kind of miss that...being surprised that Ric Flair was champion at one point and then one week later on Raw, Bret Hart is the champ.

Such a Lust for Revenge! Jan 27, 2007 10:11 PM

Typhoon was Tugboat no? Man, look at that, both his partners in both tag teams (Natural Disasters) are dead. Earthquake and the Big Boss Man.

I mean, who were the two in The Twin Towers?
Yeah, I remember when Hart beat Flairs ass for that belt! That was so awesome, never saw it coming. Hart will always be my favorite and my dhero. Also, that house show hwere Diesel beat Backlund (who had robbed Hart) was cool because the whole match was a sneaky Jackknife.

SuperSonic Jan 27, 2007 11:18 PM

Yes Typhoon was also Tugboat. Twin Towers consisted of Big Bossman and someone called One Man Gang.

Man, that's old school shit. Only a few years after I started watching wrestling.

Actually, there have been a few house show changes.

Christian beat Bradshaw for the European title at one house show. They were suppose to show it on television but didn't have enough time for some reason.

Also, Christian (poor Christian) won the IC strap from Booker T after Booker got injured weeks after being Christian for the strap.

The hardcore title changed hands many, many times at house shows too.

Such a Lust for Revenge! Jan 28, 2007 09:06 AM

Haha, hardcore title. But how many times did a hardcore champion leave as champion?

mortis Jan 28, 2007 09:52 AM

True...but I was just using that for an example.

Also, La Resistence won the tag title straps against um, SOMEONE (basically his partner got injured so La Resistance won the straps back) in a house show.

The Cruiserweight title also changed hands on one house show and then back to the champ on another when they toured overseas (I think).

I swear either the U.S. or Euro title also swapped hands (from one wrestler back to the original title holder) at some point.

Steven Richards has had the title 21 times.

Tatanka was nothing more than a jobber. . .

His career ended as a face, and like all heels who turn face, he was going down.

Bossman passing is news to me. When did this happen?

The Tatanka of now? Either a jobber or a squasher of jobbers. The Tatanka of the past? He was undefeated for more than a year.

The Big Bossman passed away in 2004, a year after Curt Hennig's death.

Slash Jan 28, 2007 08:07 PM

Hardcore title was fuckin awesome...Especially at WM2000 when there was that 15 minute hardcore battle royal where the championship changed hands i think...20 times or so
