Dunno but I've got Starfox and Yoshi's Island running on MY Wii via snes9x.
|
Time to prevent myself from upgrading my Wii and install this bad boy. :gonk:
|
Just so you know, the Homebrew Channel still works after upgrading to firmware 3.3 and they have come out with a new Twilight Hack that is compatible with 3.3. I couldn't get the new 3.3 Twilight Hack to work with a firmware 3.1 Wii though so I used an older Twilight Hack on that particular Wii. The 3.3 compatible Twilight Hack wouldn't even show up on the SD card on that Wii. It was odd. I had to upgrade the firmware in order to connect online (well maybe you don't but I felt like testing it) and the Homebrew Channel still worked afterward. I'll have to do a few tests later today and see if the 3.3 compatible Twilight Hack shows up now.

One game this week for VC: Fatal Fury 2 for the NEOGEO. If you want this game, it's 900 points down the drain.
|
It's as if every week Nintendo is reaffirming my decision to give them the middle finger and use the homebrew channel instead. What a fucking joke.
At least WiiWare has Megaman 9 to look forward to. Virtual Console? :laughs: |
We got Super Fantasy Zone on the VC last week. Super Fantasy Zone. :starry: Seems America is getting the WiiWare love and PAL regions are getting the VC love. And by love I just mean different broom handles up the arse.
I mean, the American WiiWare launch game Pop! was Australian developed, yet there are no plans to release it here. Nintendo's figured out a way to delay digital distribution. But that's okay, you can keep that shit. |
We get games months earlier and Pop! on Wiiware and you guys get games months later or not at all, some cool VC games a bit earlier, and all those Simple 2000 games.
I'm unsure if we're getting a better deal. MMMmmm... Simple 2000... |
Ah, but WiiWare got an update for a game I don't plan on downloading! Also a puzzle game! That I could play for free on my computard.
|
This week's releases: one for VC and, surprisingly, one for WiiWare. For VC:
King of the Monsters - Neo Geo Cough up 900 points for this VC release. |
Now that we've got this and Actraiser we're so close to having Nick Arcade: The Home Version.
|
So...how would we go about playing the parts involving Mikey and the final stage where we do battle with one of three wizards?
Homebrew channel is installed, trying to figure out some things but it's not that bad. |

Virtual Console (US) for 7-14-08:
Donkey Kong 3 (NES) - 500 points NINJA COMMANDO (NEOGEO) - 900 points |
What the FUCK is up with NEOGEO games when there's SNES shit to be released. God. I'd rather have some of the utter CRAP made by Americans (and Japanese, don't get me wrong) on SNES than download this bullshit.

Still waiting to chuck 7 bucks for Earthbound and then calling it quits.
|
Earthbound, Terranigma, and Super Mario RPG. We just need to start compiling a wish list.
|
SuperSonic's list is better.
|
nice thread
|
Dude . . . seriously. I'm not even going to notify on that and just say you need to be careful with shit like that.
|
Virtual Console (US) for 7-21-08:
Super Fantasy Zone (Genesis) - 900 points Gley Lancer (Genesis) - 900 points Why 100 points more than usual? They're imports, that's why. |
You know, it would be one thing if they actually did a full translation job that the points might be worth it but noooooooo.
But hey more Opa-Opa isn't a bad thing. Far from it. |
Wow. Finally they release some Genesis games, and HEY one's not bad. Also I thought Gley Lancer got released in America (either that or it just had some Engrish and it got made fun of on ZVGQ)
