Just a small correction, VERSUS XIII is done by the KH team, not FFXIII. Versus is the one that's gonna have the KH style gameplay.

2012 won't be far off Mush. Knowing the game won't be out till April 2010, at the earliest, I bet it will probably be during the summer. Heh, probably have Diablo 3 by then. Or maybe not.

April 2010 the earliest for the NA release? Figures, even if they weren't porting it (going multi-platform), the localization would have took time anyway. I wonder why SE always decides to do the localization after the Japanese release. Seeing as how localization usually takes about 6 months, we can estimate that Japanese release will probably be around November 2009, that's assuming port is concurrently being done with the localization (most likely is) and that it takes equal amount of time. If FF13 sees a summer release in Japan then I'll just import a copy.

I just wish that a lot of these ps3 games would come with dual languages or subtitles like some companies promised way back in the ps3 release, that way I wouldn't hesitate to import a copy.

They keep saying 'Oh, JP release will be in 2009', but I read somewhere [I'm not sure about the reliability, but anyway] that they date they've set is December 31. A little bit of :tpg: there, cause they're really pushing it.

Even so, it's not really surprising, I guess. Would be nice if SE would clue in, though. I mean--not to point fingers here--but Tales of Vesperia was 'localized' at the same time as the Japanese version was being made. That is to say they were working on both at the same time, and there was only a couple weeks in between their releases, IIRC.

I don't know why any of you were expecting a 2009 release when they just released a new (presumably) playable character last week. A late reveal like that usually only happens for secret characters.

Its probably more-so wishful thinking then serious consideration of a release this year. Apri 2010 sounds about right. I mean, I'd like to play it sooner then later, but if they need more time for final tweaking and localization, then so be it.

Some FFXIII related countdown has gone up. No clue what it's for, though there's no North American page related to it so it's all Europe love.

wow they weren't kidding when they were going for a fast pace gameplay! It remind me a little about the gameplay of FFX-2. Even if FFX-2 wasn't that great, his gameplay was one of my favorite in an FF game, so I'm really excited to try it out! (I hope the demo will not be region locked)

The trailer fails due to lack of Afro-Chocobo Guy.

It looks spiffy enough, but it's not like the trailer really showed anything new. I haven't really been keeping up with XIII, but it looked like the trailer was mostly just stuff from the screens they've already released. The goofy dialogue at the end about "Oh no, we've been cursed by the Fal'Cie! Now we're l'Cies!" didn't help.

I'm sure it'll be a good game that I'll inevitably play, but until Square shows something that doesn't look like Midgar stretched out into a full game it's impossible for me to get excited about it.

You couldn't even tell if they were real time from that trailer, since they kept cutting to different battles after every attack. It looked as menu-based as ever from what was shown, and we've already seen screenshots of the menus during battle. Nothing new. At least wait for a more exciting trailer before getting defensive.

Well the first original trailer that they said was real time obviously wasn't but these looked real time. And I want Square's dick all up in my ass and pussy ok.

Actually i could care less about anything square makes except FF. I hate all the FFVII sidestory shit and just about all the other stuff they make is semi decent.
