NitroBoost56 Aug 29, 2006 07:57 PM

Im running into BGM problems like Nitro, the BGM is working but its skips like crazy. When i start moving my char to fight the BGM is normal when i stop moving its skips again. I have no clue whats going on lol any advice would help ^^ thanks in advance

That's exactly the problem I have, accept it also effects the character select screen.

Big one or small one?

Devildr1ver Aug 29, 2006 08:35 PM

for people having trouble with bgm music heres a little tiny guide by me:

first go to mugen infantry (google it for the correct address) and download the eve battle screenpack, then (do not install it if you dont want) but browse over to the plugins folder and extract the dj-van.dll and put it in your plugins folder of your mugen

now open your mugen.cfg and browse over to (or press ctrl+f ) :

;Wave device to use. Choose from:
; NONE - No wave device
; AUTO - Autodetect
; DX? - DirectSound: replace ? with a the device number (from 0 to 9)
; DXA? - DirectSound with Allegro mixer: replace ? with a the device number (from 0 to 9)
; WAVEOUTA- High-quality wave-out
; WAVEOUTB- Low-quality wave-out
WavDevice = DX0

now change your setting to whats in bold........................

Next , as before change only whats in bold:

;List Winamp-compatible plugins here.
;Specify the filename of the plugin and the list of file types to
;use the plugin for. One plugin per line.
;Example: plugin = plugins/my_plugin.dll, mp3, mp2, mpg
;
;If music is not looping with a particular plugin, you can try an
;optional first argument looptype=1 (seek to zero; may stutter)
;or looptype=1 (reload plugin; slow).
;Example: plugin = looptype=1, plugins/my_plugin.dll, mp3, mp2, mpg
plugin = looptype=2, plugins/DJ-VAN.dll, mp3, mp2, mpg
plugin = looptype=2, plugins/in_vorbis.dll, ogg
plugin = plugins/in_cube.dll, adx

This is a common question among people but heres a little bonus:

open a command prompt window and type :

winmugen.exe -configplugins
to increase the priority of the plugin to highest but since dj-vans is allready fixed you dont have to but something people might want to edit is the "decoder mode " in the decoder tab i've noticed that changing it according to your cpu's instructions it might work better i have an amd sempron so i changed mine to 3dnow!

Extra Bonus : a great alternative for mp3 music is adx which i just currently made the switch a couple of days ago and WOW!!! it doesn't have music crashes i can play for a couple of hours no problem

hcs64.com and download the in_cube.dll plugin (do the same thing as i wrote above for the mp3 plugin above )

If someone wants me to write a guide on how to convert mp3's or wav's to adx with high volume for mugen just send me a msg or reply i'll post the software needed and such ..........

hey guys... its me again... have a question.... anyone know a program to make your own screenpack? or do I have to go through all of that tedious .def stuff?

chitugi Aug 29, 2006 09:09 PM

Terry from Garou please?

Hi, did anyone ever find Terry by Yagami? (ff4terry) i believe it is. if so please send him. i've been lookin for a while and can't find this guy.

Lazyguy Aug 29, 2006 09:13 PM

got get the ultimate character who is actually the F1 key. Master geese can be beaten you just gotta try really hard not to let him chain any combos together and try not to get hit when he does that move where his ki energy shoots up outta the ground and pretty much kills you.

I have a link to gambit back in the forum somewhere but i cant remember where...if its not up let me know and i'll put it back up again.

That shin bison that someone was looking for was something of an exclusive character that was only out for a little while. So gl finding it...sorry.

For those who's having problems with their BGM, there's an easier way to correct it. Just drop & extract this file in your data folder and your set...
