Walks over the body of the fallen hero, south of Argumentus
Righteous Brand on Orc Grunt, bonus to Argumentus |
Brigid hacks open the throat of the nearest orc; he goes down gurgling in an unpleasant scene.
The others look at each other. "The whole charging at the lunatic murderers thing, maybe not such a good idea? What do you think, guys? "...no, I don't still think we can take 'em." Grunt murderized terribly Bonus is pretty superfluous really :savepoint: Motsognir, Argumentus, Orc Grunts, Wolves, Gabriel, Bob, Brigid |
The new weapon; it was his. He... he got something new. It felt... wonderful.
drop axe and shield pick up great axe take a swing at that there wolf Warlord's Favor, bonus to Gabe |
Adjusting to the heft of the massive axe, Motsognir hacks away at the nearest wolf. The results are... messy. Lookit that dander fly.
9 damage, wolf bloodied Gabriel gains +4 to hit against target Breakin' out the d12s, yay :savepoint: Argumentus, Orc Grunts, Wolves, Gabriel, Bob, Brigid, Motsognir |
Argumentus didn't want to hurt no doggies, moving 3 squares southeast, he attacks the right orc grunt and cleaves into the left.
|
Argumentus flees from the horrid specter of potential doggie-murder, dispatching two of the sleepy orcs as they bumble about in a daze. They seem to barely register their own deaths, crumpling to the floor with indifferent shrugs.
"Change of plan, boys" shouts the nearest surviving grunt. "RUN!" And so they do, excepting the one who trudges and the one who makes it about five steps before he falls down snoring. The wolves, however, have no such failings in their morale, and take a bite out of the lightly-armored Bob. 3 damage, Bob 20/4 :savepoint: Gabriel, Bob, Brigid, Motsognir, Argumentus, Orc Grunts, Wolves |
The dwarf stood his ground and promptly unloaded into the same wolf. It bit the girl, and sure, that earned him some respect. But Kord demanded sacrifice. And Kord hates furries. Like, a lot. So he hit him again.
Radiant Smite Action Point Bolstering strike |
Gabriel hacks away at the wolf with a mad fury, reducing it methodically into its components kibbles & bits. At the end, there is not much left but a red stain on the floor and a few teeth.
Critical Hit! 35 damage, wolf extremely killed AP + Bolstering Strike skipped on account of being hilariously unnecessary :savepoint: Bob, Brigid, Motsognir, Argumentus, Orc Grunts, Wolf, Gabriel |
Not wishing any orcs to escape and warn their friends about us, I took a couple of steps north and blasted the fleeing group with eldritch fire.
Two steps north, Scorching Burst on northern group of orcs |
Bob hurls fire at the fleeing orcs, but their terrified lickety speed allows them to escape the flames with only a single casualty.
:savepoint: Brigid, Motsognir, Argumentus, Orc Grunts, Wolf, Gabriel, Bob |
Don't send no fancy city-woman to do a job, she'll never get it done and she'll complain about her nails the entire time.
Persue the northern fleeing orcs, standing between them Righteous Brand on the southern orc, bonus on Motsognir if he's in range |
Brigid catches the escapees, silencing the nearest one for good.
:savepoint: Motsognir, Argumentus, Orc Grunts, Wolf, Gabriel, Bob, Brigid |
Another wolf! Aha! His new axe needed practicin'!
Go over to wolf Viper's Strike |
"NO ETSCAPE!! NO MARCEEEE!"
Argumentus pursued the slowed orcs winding up a square southeast of the East orc. Argumentus begins a Passing Attack on the eastern orc, shifting one square west to follow through on the west orc. |
Motsognir continues to test-drive his new toy by getting it completely covered in blood and dog hair. This is why we can't have nice things.
7 damage Argumentus finishes off the southern orc contingent, mercilessly executing even the sleeper. Horrible merciless slaughter x2 The last of the orcs tries to make a run for it, but Brigid cuts him down as he turns to flee. The surviving wolf fights back against The Mad Axemaster, breaking through Motsognir's newly-shieldless defenses. 8 damage, Motsognir 20/1 :savepoint: Gabriel, Bob, Brigid, Motsognir, Argumentus, Wolf |
The dwarf calmly lumbered his way towards the wolf, taking up position across from soggy and spitting on his hands.
"You call that an axe?" He scoffed openly. "That's not an axe. THIS is an axe." And with that he buried said axe into the wolf. And then, just to be a show off, he did it again. Move full five squares to flank wolf on opposite side of soggy. Unleash hell. Hell here being bolstering strike. Burn AP point. Unleash hell again. (Hell still being bolstering strike) |
"fuckin'... i'll show you a goddamned axe" Motsognir muttered under his breath, careful not to let Gabe hear lest he take him up on the offer.
|
Showboating with his fabulous magical axe, Gabriel attacks the wolf not once!
8 damage Not twice! 11 damage, wolf bloodied But three.... wait, wait. No. Only twice. Disappointment. :savepoint: Bob, Brigid, Motsognir, Argumentus, Wolf, Gabriel |
The dwarves seemed to be struggling to kill the remaining wolf, rather surprising after the initial massacre that had occured here.
I sauntered round the corner and fired an ice ray at the wolf with a disdainful flick of my staff. Saunter south a bit, Ray of Frost at wolf |
[ICE-THEMED PUN GOES HERE]
5 damage :savepoint: Brigid, Motsognir, Argumentus, Wolf, Gabriel, Bob |
Quote:
Stands south of Gabriel Righteous Brand on wolf, bonus to Mots if this is The Wolf That Shall Not Die Does all the work for this party I slave and I slave and what do I get in return? |
|
Motsognir went over, picked up his shield and put it in his pack, in case he found some kind of magical one-handed weapon later. Then he collapsed in a pile and went to sleep.
|
Gabriel searched people and places, looking around the room.
|
Argumentus wiped the sweat off his brow and moved to peep the southern corridor.
