Probably Rampage, no graphical update at all, no extra shit, it even uses the GameCube controller. But it's somehow more expensive. Fucking useless port ahoy!

Cobra Commander Oct 17, 2006 10:50 PM

OMG please tell me that is NOT the whole list, where's my WWE no mercy?

Lukage Oct 17, 2006 10:54 PM

Basically just count on the most popular games first, then the gems that are good but not all that popular much later on. 30 games confirmed in the launch window.

The Plane Is A Tiger Oct 17, 2006 11:11 PM

I'm still hoping to see Super Metroid, Little Nemo in Slumberland, and Darkwing Duck on those lists sometime soon. I can't wait to overdose giant snails on candy and shoot pellet guns at electrically charged rats!

The B0mb Oct 17, 2006 11:32 PM

More hope for those of us who didn't pre order last week. Toys R Us is rumored to start pre orders on the 29th of oct. Who knows.

value tart Oct 17, 2006 11:37 PM

As a loyal and diligent employee of Toys R Us I am legally bound and obligated to dispel these rumors.

However, since I am not a loyal employee of Toys R Us I can confirm that essentially, yes, that is the case. At least, at my store.

Infernal Monkey Oct 18, 2006 01:17 AM

More like Toys R Us' Wii pre-orders started back in June and they include a free game ontop of Wii Sports with the console. Ah haw haw haw.

Oh shi Sim City confirmed for the Virtual Console launch. Australia, at least.

Slayer X Oct 18, 2006 12:47 PM

Hey, not to change the subject but does anyone have a list or know what games for the Wii are going to need the nunchuck to play? A friend of mine is trying to save some cash and would really like to know the answer to this question. Thanks everyone ^^

I dont think that place could pay you enough to keep your mouth shut.

Anyways, I'll be waiting outside until open, probably a good half-hour.

EDIT: Do they also reserve Wiimotes, classic controllers and shit?

CloudNine Oct 18, 2006 10:58 PM

The 29th is a Sunday, too. Good that makes it alot easier to try and get one. Hopefully this one will be less well known, too. Somehow, I doubt it, though.

Are you talking about multiplayer games? Otherwise, he wouldn't really be saving money since a nunchuck unit comes with the Wii, good for single player games.

The B0mb Oct 18, 2006 11:29 PM

Yeah, gotta find out when they open so I can be there at least 2 hours before heh. It seems we get another "Free" game if you buy a Wiimote. Wiiplay another collection of minigames will be bundled with the Wiimote. Thats kinda cool.

I mean i'm sure I will play it and Wii Sports at least once..before Zelda and whatever I decide on for a second game totally consume my time(Prolly Excite truck).

Solis Oct 19, 2006 04:50 PM

Just a heads up: if you were planning on getting the Component cable for the Wii, looks like you'll only find them online, at the price of $29.99 (plus shipping plus tax).

Too bad this isnt the case over here in the U.S. I hope they bring it over, even without the wiimote.

The B0mb Oct 19, 2006 11:19 PM

Oh thats not a US thing? Damn, sorry bout that. Heh

Yeah, just read that somewhere. What the fuck is wrong with these people?
There's been nothing but trouble with getting the GameCube component, and I'm not even sure you can get one here EU at all without ebay.
Now they will force the consumers to face the same problem all over again, what the hell?

They better have a solution for Europe this time around.

Maybe a third party will get some out into shops this time, ones that won't cost several zillion. =\

Time for box art update!

Dunno why they felt the need to zoom in so much for the American one. Why not GO UP HIS NOSE?

The Plane Is A Tiger Oct 20, 2006 03:29 AM

Wow, a few of those people on the cover of Trauma Center would fit right into Persona 3, especially Angie. Since Atlus owns them both maybe there'll be some extremely bizarre crossovers!

"Doctor, his body is covered with severe lacerations and his soul appears to be missing!"
"I've got no choice then... I'll have to use the Jack Frost Touch!"

http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/8...ckfrostnw7.jpg

BurningRanger Oct 20, 2006 07:59 AM

Yeah the new Trauma Center art style kind of fails.

Not that the art in the DS version was that amazing... I can tell they're trying to give it a more unique personality instead of Generic Anime Game #47, but they didn't do a very good job.

nazpyro Oct 20, 2006 09:10 AM

Trauma Center: Second Opinion looks fucking hot. Hopefully, I can beat X7 in the DS game before it comes out, but I'm failing hard multiple times on a daily basis. ;_; LOL @ Tri. =p

On component cables, that's nifty. I never got it for GC since I didn't have an HDTV. But now I do (!). And with Wii I guess I don't need my cube anymore... :(

Also lollin at the Bleach game: "BLEACH stuff i can't read WII stuff"

Yeah, can't wait for Nov. 19.

nuttyturnip Oct 20, 2006 02:12 PM

EB/Gamestop supposedly will pay $50 in store credit for a GC right now, which is tempting. The only problem is that I'm enjoying Mario Baseball right now, and I'd rather not give up my Gameboy Player. I've still got my GB Color, but you never know.

nazpyro Oct 20, 2006 02:43 PM

Oh, right! Gameboy Player. I forgot I had that too. I haven't used it for well over a year. :/ That offer is tempting, but I think I'll keep the system for sentimental value at least. Or just to play GC games in another room or something, since it is the newest (albeit a few years and excluding Dreamcast) console I have, I haven't played through too many GC games other than sports, fighters, and racing games.

Jurassic Park Chocolate Raptor Oct 20, 2006 02:55 PM

Do we know what the box art for BIG DAMN TRUCKS looks like yet? If we do, I must have missed it.

Secondly, that whole component cable fiasco is fail in a box. As a videophile, I really with Nintendo would shape up and realize that we should at least have the option of buying these in stores instead of having to deal with the online ordering process.

The Plane Is A Tiger Oct 20, 2006 03:50 PM

I'm holding onto my Gamecube since I use the Gameboy Player quite a bit. I recently acquired copies of Metroid II and Castlevania Adventure II too, so without the GB Player I'd have no way to play them. Who knows, maybe I'll move my GC to the TV in my bedroom with the other unloved systems and bring the Dreamcast back onto the main TV.
