Also Filth Fever doesn't do anything until the encounter ends! No disease does. We've been over this. I promise to totally roll the Endurance checks if the Kraken gets away alive, ok? Then when your next character joins he can fight an insane, rabid Kraken. |
Oh dang. Guess it's poisonous beard quill arrows time then =O
|
I've got some ideas for my intro. You care where I make him appear from?
|
Nah, airdrop from out of the stratosphere and Dragoon that bitch if you wanna.
|
|
A halfling rogue called Sam? You ever read the Warhammer books about Sam Warble?
|
I have not.
Ever seen the Maltese Falcon? |
There should be More Warhammer Around Here in general, though. Henceforth all gnolls are instead Skaven, forever. Deal w/ it.
|
Gnolls are rat-people? I always assumed they were sort of mini-troll things or something like gnomes, maybe a cross between the two. I guess I should read more into the subject rather than just assuming everything is what it sounds like.
|
No, they're hyena-people. I don't think D&D has any rat-people natively, aside from were-rats. Also: a joke.
Anyways I'm not specifying who earned a card from here on out since I don't want people to feel like they're steppin' on toes or whatever http://www.saxypunch.com/missile/Drama_On_My_Terms.png |
This is the greatest card ever invented.
Can we fight Death? I want to play chess. |
Death, hell. He might put up a challenge.
Now, if chess is your game you wanna save this for an ooze of some kind, at least something with no hands. Because I'm actually really bad at chess and I need an excuse |
So if you don't specify who earned it, then who gets to decide its usage?
|
|
^^^ this would actually result in impromptu Blood Bowl
which all right! Quote:
COMMUNISM This also eliminates the problem of hoarders who just sit on cards forever because "they might need it later". |
Yeah, mine is kinda useless to me.
Q: Can I use Feyleaf Boots's ability for being thrown? |
Don't see why not, being thrown is 50% falling.
|
Finished adding Glenn to Obsidian Portal, there's a few holes where i don't remember the math and don't feel like digging out the portable hard drive with all the rulebooks on it. Practically wrote a novel on his background.
That said, looking to the future, as i think the current adventure is just about over, i've looked over some stuff and i think i could feasibly run a game sometime in the near future. Do we still have a sufficient interest level to warrant two simultaneous games, or should i hold off on doing things like setting up maps until we're sure we need them? |
Why not start a new thread asking for players, so we can gauge interest? Pang's waitlist is no longer a reliable indicator - four people declined to replace Garr (Soluzar, Araes, lurker, and Maris) before Deni stepped in.
|
Alright, the thread is set up. Everyone here needs to post, i'm not making any assumptions as to who's following D&D.
EDIT: all current Characters are put together, at least mostly, on obsidian portal. I didn't do Cal's inventory, because that would take all night. |
Nah, I plan to permanently retire Cal from all games. Don't worry about converting him.
After almost a year of playing, I have come to the conclusion that archer rangers are boring, no matter how depraved or eclectic a personality he has. My next characters should have more of a melee touch. |
Well, he still needs to be on there for posterity 'n shit.
Not that Hawk should do it since he's put more work in on OP than I have, damn |

Ahem. So, that concludes Adventure IX. Adventure X will begin in (give or take) a week, giving those of us working on the campaign site time to update it with the incoming characters. It's been a long time since three people entered the game all at once, and I'm just too damned lazy to copy all that shit over in any kind of a hurry.
When the tenth adventure begins it will include an in-setting explanation of the guild mechanic. I'm probably not going to include voting on adventures for a while since it makes me feel like I need to provide some illusion of endless options and in so doing I stuck up a bunch of adventures that were, well, kind of crap. IN THE MEANTIME I'll be starting up a quick, very rules-light game called Everyone is John. Hopefully the VERY SIMPLE RULES will encourage some folks outside the usual Basement dwellers to participate, I guess we'll see. I sure do love talking to myself Guys I don't want to undermine your sovereignty or anything but is there any reason we need three separate chat threads? |
Hi Pang. Just so you don't talk to yourself some more, I didn't get the reference with the angel and the beads and the gutter :(
