You sure you have all the stages unlocked, including the Melee ones? Like, I thought I had them all but then found I was missing this one. Once I got it, I got a notice saying not only that I had unlocked all the stages, but also that the "Random Stage" setting was now available.

I might have to shy away from the online stuff, because right now my connection's pretty retarded. I run off lousy DSL so I always for example get constant yellow/red bars playing WoW except in the wee hours of the morning. I tried playing a few Brawl matches with a friend online but got whooped almost all the time because he had no lag while I had enough to screw me over completely most of the time. Rather discouraging. :(

Right now my Wii connects through the Nintendo Wireless USB Connector on my computer (which is in the same room), while the computer has a wired connection to my DSL router. That GameFAQs thread doesn't say a thing about people connecting through the wireless USB, though I should look at his sources to see if they say anything.

I could try wired, but I wouldn't be able to connect on this comp and the Wii simultaneously that way. (I don't have another long cable to connect both.) Aaaand...well, I'm a bit worried I'd only screw up the connection for everyone on the router in trying to tinker with it like the thread suggests. So, I think I'm S.O.L. for right now on online brawling. :(

Hey gang. I got the game Saturday night and while I played the hell out of it Sunday, I've been really bogged down all week with work and school.

However, last night I tried playing online "With Anyone" and couldn't get anybody to play with. It's a pretty retarded setup to go immediately into Character Select and see "Waiting..." down at the bottom and end up timing out of the Select screen. Why isn't there a lobby of some sort? What the hell?

Eventually I'll post my FC on the wiki and add as many as I can, but until then I'll just be playing SSE and trying to get through that. SSE is pretty damn fun though, I'm enjoying it more than I enjoyed Melee's adventure mode by far.

I don't think anyones really had any luck with the "with anyone" option

I bat around .300 when I do the play anyone option. If you go ahead and start it up after about a minute either someone will join or you'll be kicked out and you start the awesomeness all over again. It's generally got that half-second lag, but otherwise it works fine.

I've had some pretty good luck with the random people brawl. Longest I've had to wait for people to show up was like ten minuets. However, doing the team battle brawls, takes forever trying to find four people.

Also, can someone add my code to the wiki? I can't create an account for some reason, unless its mods only. I'll be trying to add everyone once I get the chance to.

Guess I have plenty of luck with Anyone but the lag is still a hit or miss. :(

Usually have a lot of fun just selecting random every round... but seriously, King Dedede is the worst character in the game bar none. He's fat and slow and his smash attacks aren't even strong. I wish you could edit the characters it cycles through when playing with random characters.

And I'm kinda 50/50 on whether or not I like Final Smashes. They're pretty cheap, just like hammers. But they're so cool to watch!

Yay, just played my first online session with some of the guys here. The lag was there, but everyting was still playable I guess. If it's slow, then it might be from my end. Too bad I lost connection at the end though.

Damn, it seems like I have to wait until I get back to campus before I can play anyone. With Anyone doesn't work for me, which may actually be my DSL's fault, and I haven't added anyone to my friends roster yet (5069-3619-3960 [KSBEI], add me please!). Got in some rounds with my brother, though.

Fighting on the Summit with Shin Onigamshima blaring the background is a lot of fun.

So has this game been difficult to get without a reservation?

If anything, I think Sonic is a horrible 1 vs. 1 character. He lacks ANY sort of killing move and heavily relies on his final smash to ensure KOs. At least with Dedede, he does have some killing moves. I've actually managed to do pretty good with him. And unlike some of the heavy characters, he actually has a very good recovery, his only problem is Up+B as it can become a little uncontrollable later.

And I just got the extra options thing in Brawl (finally) anyone who wants to know, you get it after 100 Brawl matches.

As for finding a copy, in normal stores (Gamestop, Best Buy, etc.) practically impossible. Finding it in a wholesale place (BJs, Costco), easy as hell. I managed to find at least 30 copies at Costco for even cheaper than you would find at normal stores. I saw Brawl for about $43 there. o_o

Just played my first online matches with some folks, and man is my lag amazingly bad. It was a constant 0.5 seconds or so of lag. The opening intros ran like molasses, and whenever I got knocked off the stage it was pretty much a gamble to see whether or not the inputs would get recognized in time for me to jump back on.

Even considering my abysmal record (I think it was 3 wins or so out of 24 games... most in last place) playing with other folks is definitely fun.

It seems that the opening intros also go slow as molasses, but after a second or two it stabilizes back to flawless playing.

So I guess it is not that important as to who hosts then?

I still want to know why I got you with Link's Final Smash when the triforce was CLEARLY ON SNOWKNIGHT. HE DODGED IT SOMEHOW.

I saw a CD pop up in one of the matches I was playing, since I already have all the songs (258) I ignored it since it would not help me anyway.

Of course the stage was rather big and hectic so I doubt anyone noticed it.

I had random stage select long before I had 200 KOs. I had it when the only thing I'd played was some Classic and SSE, not online at all. So, I'm not sure what you get it from.

Have you played through Classic mode yet?

Seems to be that playing through the SSE or at least classic mode a few times gets you the Random Stage Select.

Anyway I'm up for some matches for the next hour if you're interested. How does one go about unlocking Wolf or any other characters?

What really pissed me off is when I was playing on The Big Blue stage as Captain Falcon and a CD appears right by Ganondorf and when I'm about to grab it he hits me and I go flying in the air and the CD disappeared.
