Yar, you can get all the stages of any available combo attack at any point, really. As long as you keep the combo active long enough to trigger the reaction commands, as well as activate them before the option disappears), you should be able to reach the final phase of all combos the first time you even try them. I think it's mostly a matter of being quick to hit the triangle button (at least it is in Whirli-Goof's case) but Jiminy's Journal should probably let you know some info on that kind of stuff.

Me neither, but it doesn't hurt to be safe :D

I'd be surprised if it doesn't actually help, though, 'cause it sure looks like it does.

I forgot what the others were, though.

Xahanort can also be X another.Nomura said so himself that both words are important.

Not sure if this has been mentioned (sorry but this thread's huge and I'm not gonna go through all of it).

But something in Aghrabah bothered me. The entire city was devoid of ANY actual life, or villagers. There were no NPCs goign about their daily business. NONE. Even when Aladdin was stating how he goes to the city for the hustle & bustle and the life of it, the camera was panning around the town and it looked like freaking ghost town! What gives SE?

Soldier May 3, 2006 02:14 AM

Laziness, I imagine. It's worse in Olympus Colliseum. Hercules is battling in front of a cheering crowd, but there's not a single spectater sitting.

Now I'm working on finishing the Poster Duty minigame in under 30 seconds. According to a FAQ....from Gamefaqs, I need to learn High Jump Lv3, Air Slide Lv3, Air Dash Lv3 and Glide Lv3. Is all this really necessary? I've since been leveling up my Drives in Yensid's tower (and leveling even further as a result; I'm now at 92).

Also, how do I get access to the Hades Paradox Cup (the one with 50 matches)?

Inhert May 3, 2006 02:34 AM

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZYskxa-MAQ

look at this video and you'll see why you need all of those

and for hades cup you need to be lv 99, all drive form to lv 7 and summon to lv7 too basicly everything to max.

Kairi Li May 3, 2006 03:06 AM

And note that despite the fact that you're maxed out, the cup will be a bitch at the last 10 battles, ESPECIALLY round 49.

All I can say with round 49, get focus on one enemy, never let them gang up on you and that that round takes a lot of patience.

Inhert May 3, 2006 03:21 AM

god lv 40-50 was really hell! >.< and this lv 49 >.>
Spoiler:
the only way I beat them is by trinity glide->recharge mp, trinity and repeat >.> I'm kind of disapointed and relly releaved that they put a so easy fight for the last battle XD

Shenlon May 3, 2006 07:36 AM

I just tried out the hades parodox cup yesterday and all I can say is WTF >_<
A normal heartless takes more than half of my blood. Tifa and yuffie were easy though, I just used knocksmasher like 3 times and they were done. That team up move saved me so many times ^_^.
After that is when the nightmare begins ~_~
In jiminy's journal it says that you need to complete 15,000 or more. Is that only possible if you start from the beggining of the tournament?

Dobby May 3, 2006 08:20 PM

I was able to do it from round 21 i believe? or 11. one of the two.

Thundaga and magnega were my best friends in that tournament

Soldier May 3, 2006 11:40 PM

Thank God for Timeless River. The four windows made leveling Wisdom and Master Forms extremely easy. Do it right and you can cycle through all 4 windows without losing Wisdom even once.

All my forms are leveled, and everyone is 99. The only thing left to level is Summons. What causes a summon to gain experience? Is it based on each enemy they kill? What's the best spot to level summons?

Now to try and copy the manuevers in that youtube link and finish Postal Duty.

That really is the only problem I had with the game... Twilight Town was the only world with NPCs and any life what so ever besides Sora, his friends and enemies... haha

Soldier May 4, 2006 12:20 AM

Unbelievable. Just as I'm about to try Postal Duty, Youtube is down. Anyone got an alternate/downloadable link to the video?

It's based on how many drive points/bars are used up in the gauge. It's really just a matter of wasting time with the summon activated...you can just look at the summon status page to get more info on that, too :p If you put the cursor over the summon experience level in your menu, the info box will tell you how to level it up, just like with the drives.

espressivo May 4, 2006 04:05 PM

I just beat the game on proud mode and didn't get the secret ending... :(

Interrobang May 4, 2006 11:02 PM

You have to complete all worlds, including Atlantica and Hundred Acre Wood.

Soldier May 4, 2006 11:04 PM

Whew, I finally beat Hades Paradox. Then I beat it again with over 20,000 orbs. One of my best triumphs in recent gaming memory.

Inhert's strategy made round 49 much easier than it deserved to be. Just glide around like mad, then use Trinity when the MP bar recharges.

Sin Ansem May 5, 2006 12:33 AM

I think this game suffers the same problem as Chain of Memories.

Awesome battles and storyline, everything else is a non-issue.

Although with KH2 it's on a much grander yet less annoying scale. At least KH2 doesn't have room synthesis *shudders*

Overall great game, though. Wish there were more optional bosses.

...Isn't that all there is?

Well, I did it. All missions have finally been completed. I'm finally going to see the ending tommorow, plus the secret ending.

One precaution though. I don't have to collect every single treasure in order to "complete" the journal, right? Finishing all the worlds and missions is all I need for the secret ending, right?

kupomog May 5, 2006 01:18 AM

If Mickey's crest ain't on there, it ain't complete, and it ain't 100%. If you're on Proud mode, then you don't need to worry about the treasure, and just worry about sealing all the keyholes.

Soldier May 5, 2006 01:21 AM

....Jesus almighty.

(goes collect every goddamn treasure chest)

Well, collecting the treasures isn't nearly as hard as doing all those missions (especially with this handy FAQ), but the only thing I have left is the synthesis. What do I need to do to have it "complete"? I already made the ultimate weapons for Sora, Goofy, and Donald.

kupomog May 5, 2006 01:48 AM

Okay, for synthesis you need to complete all the "Lists" in the Synthesis menu, things like "collect 25 of this" or "collect all types of items." You also need to create every recipe possible (complete all recipes, free developments, then go to your creations and remake every item with a Serenity item to create a new item).

I used this synthesis guide when I was doing that stuff. I'm not sure if GameFAQs has one anywhere yet (Kouli has one up but it's based on the Japanese version, though I'm sure it could also help).

Soldier May 5, 2006 04:17 PM

Sorry, but I give up. I was willing to finish every mission, suffer through Hades Paradox, and even collect every treasure chest. But when it came time to collect twentysomething of every crystal which may or may not drop from various enemies, I just had to stop there.

So I downloaded a 100% save and finally finished the game, secret movie and all. In short, the ending was beautiful, especially the way it complements the first game's ending. I nearly wept, seriously.

And the secret movie was....interesting. I'm starting to have the feeling that Nomura wants to create different projects, but Square has him pinned down to KH, so he has to transfer his ideas to the sequels. He made a bunch of cloaked guys in a futuristic city fit, but I don't see how he's going to implement this next teaser into Disney territory.

But that's not what I'm wondering about. What I am wondering about is a scene from one of the trailers that didn't appear in the game.

Spoiler:
There was a scene that looked like the Sora vs Roxas cutscene, only more Matrix Revolutions-ish.

I was looking forward to this one, too. :(

Also, looks like Rinoa might show up in KH3. The letter Squall was reading had the wing symbol from her outfit (that's included in his own outfit).

Inhert May 5, 2006 05:07 PM

Spoiler:
I heard that the cutscene of the Sora vs Roxas fight was suppose to be a real battle but in the end they had to cut it, don't remember why...

Soldier May 5, 2006 05:15 PM

Sigh, Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix, here we come (I don't care what Nomura says).

You know where I can get some high quality screens from the secret movie?

Cirno May 5, 2006 05:49 PM

If there's a Kingdom Hearts 3 that follows the "plot" of the Secret Trailer, I can only imagine (see hope) the Gargoyles make an appearance. Demona <3. A Xanatos is fine, too.
