wowowoowowowow JESUS seriously I swear to God the last episode was BOMBASTIC. I am not even lying, I've watched it three times already, I dunno whether the guys responsible for this awesome show are on drugs or something like that but this is getting more and more awesome!! (yeah okay some 24 reference in the last episode, but oh well)
If you don't know this show yet, do me a favor: get all 20 episodes and watch them this weekend. It's not too late to join yet ;) |
I've indoctrinated about 20 or so people - we had two marathon nights where we watched the first 20+ episodes, and now we have a weekly Heroes party that's attended by around 15 people. I can't wait for tonight's episode - but I have a prior commitment during the show, so I'll have to catch it online. :/

The latest episode was really good, and I've watched it a couple times, but I have to say... the way they portrayed time travel is a little... well, off.
Don't get me wrong, I love Heroes, but I have to pick at this a little: Spoiler:
AHHHH my head hurts. It's a little hard to wrap my mind around what I'm trying to say, but I hope I got my point across. :eagletear: |
Um, future Hiro says that he TRIED to kill Sylar but could not because he just regened. That's why he went back to have the cheerleader saved.
I think the reason so many are confusing themselves is because to future Hiro nothing has changed. He just got back to the future in that episode and has not noticed anything yet. But it DID change, just slightly thanks to him changing the past by having claire saved. So Future Hiro is stating things that he knows based on his experiences of the old timeline but the new timeline contradicts him because things changed slightly. Timeline 1 : Sylar is the bomb, Hiro tries to kill him but Sylar regens. Hiro tracks all the major events and decides that to change the way things are he must go back and save the cheerleader. Then Sylar can be killed. Hiro goes back to the past and the cheerleader is saved. Timeline 2: Future Hiro has just returned but finds out nothing has changed to him. But things have changed. Peter is the bomb, Hiro never tried to kill Sylar, Claire is alive and her death was faked. When Peter went boom it was blamed on Sylar by Nathan. Timeline 3: What will happen in the following episodes if Sylar and the bomb is stopped. But who knows if it can really be stopped. |
No, I mean that Future Hiro said [and the comic says] that Present Hiro kills Sylar, or is supposed to.
Anyway, it makes way more sense if you look at is as being different timelines, and not as actual time travel. About Sylar being the bomb... We know that he never was, it was Peter all along. Saying it was Sylar was just a cover up to protect Peter. [Though, it's possible that Future Hiro is from a different timeline where Sylar WAS the bomb, we'll never know.] I don't know, time travel has always been a really confusing thing to grasp. :P I guess we'll find out what happens tonight, and next week. I hope so, anyway. |
Last episode was epic, no question.
Can't wait for the next episode coming in a few hours. Also if you guys wanna check out info leaked through the 360 experience and Hiro's blog, but don't wanna go through all the stuff that you need to do, or check the archives of what was posted in the 360 thing, then check it out here. http://heroeswiki.com/Main_Page I remember that dream Peter had before the haitus? Could it be a warning that the timeline was changed and he BECAME the bomb? Or was it always Peter all along no matter what timeline? |

Look, it's simple to confirm this too. There wouldn't of been a painting of Hiro stabbing a sword through Sylar or the comic showing Sylar still going off after Hiro stabs him if Sylar wasn't the bomb originally. If Sylar wasn't the bomb then Hiro never had a reason to go back and save Claire. Sylar WAS the bomb, then Hiro went back and changed the future by having Claire saved. But Hiro was never changed with it. The future changed in a way Hiro didn't expect. Hiro is not from another timeline, he just didn't change with it. The comic says Hiro tried to kill Sylar when he was going nuclear but failed. Why did he fail? Because Sylar regened after the attack. So Hiro goes back into the past and tells Peter to save Claire. Hiro then returns to the future and finds nothing has changed to him. That's all the comic says. Then when you watch the show it tells you things have changed, claire is alive, peter is the bomb instead, and sylar was blamed for it. But Hiro doesn't know this because he just got back and wasn't changed along with the timeline. |
Thanks for explaining that. I didn't quite get it while watching, either. I want to turn my geeky, sci-fi-watching brain parts back on for this show, but I've been hurt so many times before, I just . . . . Does this show really still make sense? TV can still do that?
I'll pay attention tonight. Now I'm all excited about my pretty heroes. |
Shonos, your explanation is confusing, yet very real at the same time. XD
Like I said, time travel's a really confusing thing, but I get your point. It makes sense... so far. |
Might be a spoiler for some of you, so I'll just hide it
Spoiler:
Epic |
In terms of scale, after last weeks episode, this one may feel a bit more dryer, but it doesn't make it less interesting.
Spoiler:
Overall, this is shaping up to be something awesome! |
Last weeks episode was by far my favourite episode. Hiro travels to the future mets himself. Everyone has changed so much. Cant wait for next week!!

I think the only logical conclusion we can draw is that Peter uses Candice's power to make Hiro (and everyone else) think he's Sylar. They're not just going to blame Sylar, they're going to frame him. Quote:

I even went back to that episode to check and low and behold you were correct, this show is really turning out to be something else. |

I agree with the prediction/feeling on Peter blowing up Sylar - but because I agree, and it seems logical, I'm guessing that it's wrong. :P Although I completely called the solution to Molly's problems as soon as Mohinder became involved. |
Possible spoilers for the next episode, Landslide:

I was sleeping, and all the sudden I woke up, sat straight up in bed, and said: 'Shit!'
It took me a while, but I had just made a connection: Bennet spoke of the "Walker Tracking System". That would be the girl, Molly. He recruited Mohinder to 'fix' her, and now she'll be able to tell Star Trek guy [Primatech paper guy, he reminds me of someone from ST, and I don't know his name] where ANY of them are. He'll not only use her to find Sylar, but probably Claire, Bennet, and the others too. Damn. And I'm sure Bennet doesn't know that the 'tracking system' is a little girl... What's he gonna do to 'take it out'? Shit's gonna hit the fan, and soon. |

If Sylar got her power, it'd be game over. He obviously didn't in the future, or he'd have found Claire long before.
And the people he hid were people who had powers but weren't big threats to public safety, I think. |
