Hmm. Here's a neat trick for getting all those damn music CDs to actually spawn.

YouTube Video

Does anyone have a list of where all these things appear at? I care more about unlocking all the tunes than I do about all the trophies.

Dr. Uzuki Mar 13, 2008 06:25 AM

Question: In SSE, what is the difference between cleared stages with a green flag and the multi colored blinking ones? I'm guessing it has something to do with what stages are 100 percent complete, but which is which? And what does the game factor into percentage?

Jurassic Park Chocolate Raptor Mar 13, 2008 06:29 AM

Flags are incomplete. Multicoloured glowey....things are actually multicoloured glowing crowns, which imply 100 percent completion of that stage.

Heh, that's clever. I'll have to try that out since I'm not finding that many CDs in SSE.

Yeah, same here. From what I understand, with the exception of challenges or events and unless they're found in gold boxes in SSE, the placement of CDs is random.

Freelance Mar 13, 2008 06:57 AM

I never once came to the conclusion that the papers = stickers. I feel stupid now :(

I'll be up for some heavy Brawling on Sat night if you all wanna get together for fun. After all, that's the only day we can see Totakeke in Smashville. I'd sooo take pics of that event. Does anyone know what time he leaves?

I just learned Friend matches counts towards your Brawl count, which is doubly awesome. I can unlock the last two characters that way. Wanna get Wolf >_>

By the way. In case you guys haven't figured it out yet, I'm Reno in battles. My sister goes under Kira. 'Wolf' wasn't me last night, to those of you who have been playing with me. It was my sister who forgot to change her name.

Not quite sure who my top 4 will be yet. Top is Bowser of course. I really miss his Melee > B move where he grabs and bites people. *le sigh* I'm leaning towards PKM Trainer, and I don't know about the 3rd and 4th.

Omnislash124 Mar 13, 2008 07:22 AM

Yeah, but "Chao" looks like "Chato" missing the 'T'. >_<

I'll probably change my name to my GFF username (probably just Omni) since it'll be easier for people to tell who I am here. Hopefully, I can change it.

I still need to add a bunch of friend codes from the list. This is really annoying.

Also, exactly where is Jigglypuff and Wolf in SSE? So many places to 100% left, and I can't find the last thing I'm missing in The Halberd Exterior. Gamefaqs is no help at this point either. -_-

As for my top 4 characters. Obviously Marth is my primary (even if he is nerfed). Ike makes a good secondary since he has raw power and a slew of cheap moves he can pull. After that it gets hazy. I want to say Snake because of his arsenal of explosive moves and laying mines everywhere to piss people off, not to mention he's REALLY strong. But he's in competition with Olimar (surprisingly fun to use), Sonic (it's fun running circles around people), Pikachu (my old primary), or Link (I like swords.)

Dr. Uzuki Mar 13, 2008 07:26 AM

Just got done doing that.

Spoiler:
Wolf is in the Ruins and Puff's in the swamp, both near the end of each level.

Freelance Mar 13, 2008 07:28 AM

People have already mentioned how to get them earlier in the thread. To get Wolf, go to The Ruins and go all the way to end of the stage. When you get on the moving platform (it goes down), bypass the first door you see and go through the 2nd door at the bottom of the long shaft. You need to wait until the platform stops .

Jigs is found in The Swamp. The door's between two cannons apparently at the last part of the stage.

Just go the Friends Roster to change your profile.

*edit: Damn. Uzuki beat me to it. Ah well.

That's still pretty slow. A better way would be to set up conveyor belts leading into a deep pit, and then set a Special Brawl with Bunny Ears, Metal, Heavy, and Fast. Drop Bowser into the pit and keep pressing A. I think I got 90 stickers and around 10 CDs in five minutes. It even lagged on me, as there were so many Sandbags at once, as they can't disappear when flying.

I should probably also note that it seems they fixed the appearance rate of CDs in the American version.

Hellscythe Mar 13, 2008 09:32 AM

Well I'm adding my brawl code once again, as my last post attempt seems to have timed out. I'm on sporadically, usually when I get the chance to. If you guys are doing matches around a certain time, I'm PST (Morgan Hill, CA). And I really hope statewide play isn't gonna lag. The DMZ thing did the trick for me and my local friends. As for this Saturday night, I'll try to be on, seeing as I work early in the morning rather than at night.

If anyone does add me, PM so I can add you back. the way you register friends IS really stupid as miles had stated before.

Sheesh, I just played with BigCN41 and Icy and those games were laggy as hell too. There were too many moments where everything would pause for 5 or more seconds. It's kind of annoying having to play like this. It's probably my stupid vdsl connection. Buggy crap it is.

Yes indeed it was you Icy. :tpg:
Miles and I (including my brother >_>) was fine until you show up. lol

I just get mad when I die a cheap death because the game keeps pausing and my input comes out like 5 seconds later resulting in me being unable to save myself or just wandering off the edge of a stage. ._.

I'm from the east cost and I'll say the lag isn't bad... actually I didn't notice a lag at all (BTW good games you guys XD). Last night in one match with 3 other people the lag was so horrible I have to leave the room because a 3 minute match would end up being 15 minutes. Then I enter another room with three other people and the match runs lag-free. I'll still say that I'll lag from cable user (mostly from Comcast) so hopefully Nintendo will fix this soon!

Oh, I finally fill up my friend roster. Since I got more GFF FC than others, I'll keep you guys on my JP copy while moving everybody else to my US copy (when it arrives). This way it isn't a hassle for you guys to re-add me with my US FC. :D

quazi Mar 13, 2008 10:59 AM

Maybe it's because I'm another Comcast user from the East Coast, but I had no real lag issues playing with BigCN (although it woulda been nice to have something to blame for me committing suicide 219 times). Normally when I do the Brawl Anyone option there's a pretty serious delay between me hitting a button and my character actually responding.

:annoyed:

...Well now I feel stupid. I thought it was the other way around. This would explain much though.

Monkey King Mar 13, 2008 11:19 AM

I haven't been shunning anyone, I just haven't had a chance to deal with my WiFi setup. I haven't added anybody's friend code to my list yet, but I plan to go down the wiki list as soon as I get a chance. You'll probably be seeing a lot more of me this weekend; my free days at the beginning of the week were spent unlocking stuff. Freaking Wolf took me like 20 tries to beat, since I kept losing Game and Watch on the way to his door.

Anywhere, at any time.

Even online.

Forgot to comment about this.
This is going to be useful when I get my US copy. I'll probably create a stage that Interrobang describe. lol

Oh, my brother and I also Brawl with Idle last night. Only one crazy match and lasted about 11 minutes because either Idle intentionally set or forgot that time was on infinity. I was wondering, "When the hell is this match going to end?!" :tpg:

CloudNine Mar 13, 2008 01:25 PM

Can you play online with local friends?

Yes, but I believe only with other people on your friends list, and not with just anyone. Also, the battle won't start until at least one person from another Wii joins the match.

As a side note, apparantly, you can have multiple people on your friends list join the same battle, even if they don't have each other on their list. The game then prompts the players (I don't know if it's before or after the match) whether they want to add that other person to their own list.

EDIT: Found this on the GameFAQs board. I'm not sure if I should try this stuff out before getting into some online matches (not good with router config).

Chaotic Mar 13, 2008 02:19 PM

I should REALLY move my Wii out of the attic. A good majority of my games are pretty laggy and having a DSL connection REALLY isn't helping at all.

There's probably a whole floor level difference between my router and my Wii, so if any of the game I've played have been laggy, I apologize.

It's weird though, CN. I'm on the East Coast also, but EVERY match I face against either you or your brother seems to be really laggy. I've tried facing your brother with my system probably inches away from my router. Still laggy.

Probably tomorrow, I could face some of you with a good connection since I'll be chillin' at my friend's house and he has a pretty strong connection. What time? I dunno, I'll specify tomorrow.

Buizel Mar 13, 2008 03:18 PM

I don't think having your router and the Wii next to each other would help. Even being close there could be interference with other device like cell and cordless phone. Best way to avoid it is by being wired/LAN. Following that GameFAQs guide should really help.

Chaotic Mar 13, 2008 06:02 PM

I'll attempt to make sense of it later. o_o

Guru Mar 13, 2008 06:04 PM

Hm, I just played a stock game of 100 lives against 3 computers on Final Destination. Granted it took quite a long time, but I also got about 300 KO's and about 20 CD's. It was pretty fun, actually =P

StarmanDX Mar 13, 2008 06:07 PM

I unlocked all the stages days ago, but I still don't seem to have Random Stage Select. Am I just not seeing the option somewhere? Or is there something more I have to do? I've beaten SSE and unlocked every character and done all the basic stuff (Classic, All-Star, Home Run, Boss Battles, etc.).

I'd very much like to be able to select random but not have to go to a Melee stage. ._.

Chaotic Mar 13, 2008 06:11 PM

It's supposed to be in the Rules Option menu. I haven't unlocked every thing at this point though... I've really been taking my sweet old time with it since I've been frustrated that I can't beat Classic mode on Insane with anyone without continuing.

I really should deal with the easy crap first.

200 total KOs I believe...

Scratch that, it seems to be 100 Brawls.
