I'm not a big Culpepper fan, so I can't see the Dolphins going that far. They are everyone's cinderella team this season. The Steelers might win this game even without Roethlisberger. Simply for the wise guy factor. Everyone predicts them to lose and they win.

Well there is that rule that says that you can never discount the defending champs.

Even with Roethlisberger out (remember, he had a horrible time at the SB) - run the ball with Parker against the Dolphin's D, pass a few to Hines Ward, and let the Steeler's D take care of the rest.

Culpepper isn't bad, but he's still coming off an injury. Also, they don't have the same rushing offense that they had last year.

dagget Sep 7, 2006 08:22 PM

0-7 Steelers so far.

It hasn't been too bad of a game, but I just noticed something. Willie Parker. I'm about 95% sure I went to school with that fucker. Since he's from Clinton, North Carolina and I'm pretty sure I heard him say he played football at Clinton High (Clinton Dark Horses!) I need to call my cousin up, but damn that's just fucking wild.

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Sep 7, 2006 10:06 PM

A fucking fumble on the one yard line. You've got to be kidding me.

Capo is NOT HAPPY right now. >=(

BucPride Sep 7, 2006 10:13 PM

Looked like the pulling guard (Faneca I do believe) got a piece of it. I would have loved to hear Maddens insight, but I've muted the TV.

EDIT : Wow, Miller was definately out. Well done Saban with the faggoty underhand throw of the flag.

dagget Sep 7, 2006 10:15 PM

Is Capo happy right now? :tpg:

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Sep 7, 2006 10:18 PM

Capo is elated right now. Especially since my favorite player on the team was the one who scored that TD! Incoming Heath Avatar/Signature combo coming in the next couple weeks. Heeeeeaaaatttthhhh!

dagget Sep 7, 2006 10:34 PM

Good god, the turnovers in this game. lol.

Bad FG attempt, turns into an INT TD return. Christ.

lol@Porter. THAT'S A MAN KISS.

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Sep 7, 2006 10:35 PM

Ok, I might need to make that kiss my avatar. Happiness!

BucPride Sep 7, 2006 11:40 PM

Now with that over, its time for me to say something that seems to be on everyone's mind...

...the Ravens are going to DIE!

(Yeah right, we're gonna blow it this weekend. Simms'll throw a bunch of pics and we'll walk away with our tail between our legs.)

DragoonKain Sep 8, 2006 12:06 AM

You can't win a Superbowl with Culpepper, I'm sorry. The Dolphins also have no o-line.

BlueMikey Sep 8, 2006 12:24 AM

There aren't really a lot of games this weekend that get me excited. Colts/Giants should be fun, although I'm getting really sick of them playing up the Mannings, the two teams make for a good enough game. The Broncos and the Rams could be a fun game in that Denver is expected to be pretty okay this year but still have a big question mark sitting there at running back. Cowboys/Jags? But the Cowboys will fall apart this year like every other team TO has been on so...*shrug*.

I guess that's the problem with a little too much parity, really huge games only come every once in a while.

Tonights game was entertaining, though. Close to the end and won with defense, my favorite type of game. I didn't think much of the Dolphins this year, but I can see them getting into the playoffs, maybe even winning a wild-card game (Patriots should come out on top again, though, if Miami keeps playing like that).

Saban should have ran down the sidelines and threw the flag at a line ref, or, if worse comes to worst, ran out onto the field and slide tackled the ref (:p).

bighunt Sep 8, 2006 02:01 PM

THANK YOU REFS FOR NOT SEEING THE CHALLENGE FLAG!! Your blindness helped my fantasy football team this week!!

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Sep 8, 2006 02:25 PM

Other than BigCunt's case here, that really wouldn't have effected the outcome. Except for prior in the game, the Steelers are a dynamite goal line team, and would have made it into the endzoen regardless. Duce or Haynes could have pounded it in, Parker could have made it to the outside, or we could have made a short pass to Heath Miller, Nate Washington or Hines Ward.

I am going to watch my cousin who is NE's new kicker kick da bills ass sunday. Most of my family went down to foxboro.

A very good Brian Dawkins career highlight mix. Even if you aren't an Eagles fan I think it's very well done and worth checking out. He's one of the greatest safeties who has ever played the game, and my personal favorite Eagle of all-time.

Youtube kinda makes it look grainy, but oh well, what can you do.

That last part is basically what the Ravens had to contend with all last year...Pure idiocy at QB. Now that Kyle Boller is the most experienced back-up in the league (in terms of starts) and Steve McNair is leading the charge, we can't* lose...

*But then again, McNair can't get away from everyone if the Ravens offensive line was as bad as it was last year. Michael Vick wouldn't have been able to evade some of those hits. :doggy:

Should be a good game.

BucPride Sep 10, 2006 10:02 AM

Should be, I'm looking forward to it, though I always think the worst when the Bucs play. I can never help it. I expect a good old battle of great defenses (you know, like the 35-36 Bucs/Skins game that everyone said would be a defensive game).

Your cousin is Gostkowski? That's pretty cool, I guess.

dagget Sep 10, 2006 02:03 PM

Oh gee what a surprise. Panthers are playing like ass.

bishop743 Sep 10, 2006 02:59 PM

Wow, this is not good at all. The Panthers struggled badly today. Last year, they came out of the gate and lost a close game to the Saints, and this year they have opened up again with a loss. Last year they were able to bounce back even though they had to fight uphill all year. Hopefully, they'll be able to the same this season.

dagget Sep 10, 2006 03:54 PM

They couldn't get shit done. That Abraham dude was like all up in their mashed potatoes. Jake D. was getting rather pissed about it.

BucPride Sep 10, 2006 05:09 PM

Wow, so much for our offensive line today. Simms was under pressure all day, not to mention drop after drop. Big game next week against the Goons. Gotta win it, can't start off 0-2 and expect to make a miraculous (sp? I'm exhausted) recovery.

Just unbelievably horrible.

Golfdish from Hell Sep 10, 2006 06:27 PM

The Bucs basically looked like the Ravens have for the past 3 seasons. Interceptions, passes deflected, sacks...Not a fun day if you're on their side.

McNair was getting smacked around pretty good, but they were all late hits after he had gotten rid of the ball. Last three years, Boller would have either gotten hit or picked off, so now the problems with our offensive line aren't as glaring.

I never would have guessed 27-0 though. The Ravens either got their shit together or they're playing way over their heads. Steelers and Bengals both won, so only time will tell...
