Well, from what I can see, you want the "reserved for your order" status. That just means they have it in stock and are waiting for the other items until they ship.

aww what a flop. I got charged on the spot. But I guess thats why I'm already getting mine so no worries ^^;.

Golfdish from Hell Jun 22, 2007 05:59 PM

Got my confirmation two days ago with everything in stock. I'll edit when the loot comes.

chato Jun 26, 2007 11:36 AM

My dvds came in today. I only wish they can ring my doorbell instead of leaving out in the open by my front door >.>;. Once I opened it up, It has everything I ordered so the rest is fine. Anyone else get theirs ?

I'll post a pic on the other thread to show what I have.

UPDATE! New RIGHTSTUF SALE! Now its a Viz sale this time, not quite as good as the Geneon Sale, but now is the time to grab some manga! 33% off all manga titles from Viz, and 40% off their DVDs. Good through the 15th. have fun :)
Im probably guna grab the missing 4 volumes of Silent Mobius, and get FMA 13-15(preorder)

chato Jul 5, 2007 09:55 PM

I always wanted to grab the Jinchuu Arc from Rurouni Kenshin. Does anyone have an idea is to where it starts (what volume)?

Sakabadger Jul 6, 2007 12:29 AM

Anime-wise, it is sort-of-but-not-really covered in the second OVA, Samurai X Reflections.

Manga-wise, you should start at volume 18.

Also, my RightStuf order is still not shipped yet. ;_;

Call them on it, I called on something that was 'possessing' and had been for a week, i called, they figured out the problem and got it to me 4 days later :]

Sakabadger Jul 6, 2007 12:46 AM

I sent another e-mail to customer service (I'm rather too phone shy to call) so I hope it all works out. I know the sale was pretty big and that they must have gotten a ton of orders so I can't bring myself to be very angry... but still, a month of waiting (for items that are consistently displayed as being well in stock on the site) is pretty unhappy.

Heh.That sucks because mine came in a while ago and today I'm getting my second shipment of other stuff. You should ask for a free item for the lack of time >.>.

Reflections was an ok OVA. I only wish it stuck with the manga since:

Spoiler:
Kenshin never dies. Still, a solid anime with dramatic music.

As for vol 18-28 including Death Note 12, It looks like it'll cost me about 65 bucks >.<. I'm not that desperate but it's whatever.

FatsDomino Jul 6, 2007 09:41 AM

Yeah, I'm in the same ship as Saka. I've been waiting for Rightstuf for a month. I'll have to call them soon because this is getting a bit ridiculous. It's a big sale but a month? I'd expect 2 weeks at max.

Well, I can kinda understand why its taking so long. I know they where selling 'in-stock' only, but the website probably let people order more than was accualy available for order. So they might have Some stuff that they have to order from Geneon.
On the website they itemize everything for you on the 'where's my stuff!?' if you also click 'view order' once your there.
This happened to me when they had a BanDai and ADV sales a while back. I ordered in Feb, and got my stuff in late March/April. They sent me some emails apologizing for the wait and explaining that they had an unexpected demand for certain items and they simply had to order more

I'm not sure, but I remember reading that Watsuki (the manga creator) accepted the OVAs as canon, even though they actually end up going past the end of the manga. It's kind of sobering, but hey, it's life.

I asked about this in my first e-mail to customer support, and this is what they said:

Quote:

Thank you for the email. Those counters are set up to keep track of
the amount we are able to receive from Geneon so while it may say "in
stock" it may just be in transit.
A little shady (just how much do they actually have in stock?!) but I guess it works.

Still no reply from RightStuf yet. COME ON MAN.

He said to this day he still hasn't gotten another charge from them and likes it that way XD

Well, I got charged, I always do, it's just that it takes a few days after it arrives to see that it was charged...

Wish I was as lucky as your friend though! :D

1.
Buy your favorite downloads from ADV Universe.
2.
Receive ADV Bucks equal to the value of your purchase in your account.
3.
Use your ADV Bucks coupon code at the DVD store (www.advfilms.com) to purchase DVDs, music & more!

what they have on the site is kinda limited right now, but you can try out some anime by payin to download it, and save up some 'ADV bucks' and buy a DVD if you want it. Interesting idea on their part, just thought those of you might want to know

chato Jul 10, 2007 08:18 PM

I went and purchased the platinum versions of Neon Genesis Evangelion DVDs 1,2,3,4,6 and 7 today at rightstuf. Each were 8 bucks a piece but they don't have vol 5 anymore for some reason. Looks like I'll have to cough up 20-something bucks for it <sigh>. And if I get this package before sakabadger, that's just fucked up >.<;; .

Sakabadger Jul 10, 2007 10:21 PM

Well, rightstuf is sending me the items that are already available (7 of them (that number has not moved in over a week)) and the person I talked to said they'd ship on Wednesday.

So, yeah, if you get your stuff before me heads will roll. Probably mine, from emo suicide ;_;

If anybody lives in an area (US only :()with a Borders store, they're running a promotion now through July 30th that comes around about twice a year: all Viz Manga are buy 3 get the 4th free. It's not that amazing of a deal, but it does help when you've been putting off buying a lot of one series (like I have with Godchild/Count Cain and Death Note).

sabbey Aug 4, 2007 12:15 PM

It seems that nearly all of the Rightstuf's CDs are on sale, for those who missed the 10/25 for 50/100 deal... :)

FatsDomino Aug 4, 2007 05:47 PM

Finally got mine in. Only took Rightstuf like 2 months but they're here. Now for my other order for them to arrive. See you this time next year for updates! Sheesh.

Sakabadger Aug 4, 2007 11:29 PM

My last order (4th shipment, 3 of which were single DVDs...) is on its way. I suppose it'll get here Monday... By then it will have almost been exactly 2 months since I placed the order, but at least I got it all in the end.

Can't really blame Rightstuf for the huge delays since I know they tried their best, but hopefully next time they'll have clearer communication with the manufacturer so nobody gets shafted. I'd hate to be one of those people who found out they couldn't actually get the item they wanted.

chato Dec 4, 2007 07:08 AM

Rightstuff is having a big time sale each day with a different sale on animes doing it 12 days style.

Day 1 - Eureka Seven 1-10 $89.99 63% off Reg. Price : 249.99
Day 2 - Inu Yasha DVD Boxset $39.39 53% off Reg. Price : $89.98

I need that Cowboy Bebop remix. Unfortunately, my original dvds don't work anymore O_o;;. I'll be updating for the next 10 days ^^.Eureka Seven is in my list because someone here recommended it highly to me. I could've seen this in adult swim... >.<. Maybe..

good luck to everyone else and pray that it doesn't come no more than 5 months..

FatsDomino Dec 4, 2007 09:13 AM

Oh yeah, just wanted to note that I did eventually get my huge stash of anime but months late. I only just got the last two dvds two weeks ago. gg, rightstuf. Oh well I guess that's what I get for going for a clearance buy.
