GOD DAMN IT.

In all seriousness, if anyone needs me I'll be in the angry dome.

:(

Ryuu Mar 20, 2006 01:23 AM

...

Dammit...

After being heightened to the point of pure excitement, I've now been thrown back to the depths of disappointment...*Sigh*

AC1 Mar 20, 2006 01:51 AM

^ I think that's called an orgasm :p

orion_mk3 Mar 20, 2006 12:24 PM

NOOOOOO!

This is the worst news since ever. The Angry Dome isn't enough. I need a Suicide Booth. Or Space Bees. or both.

I should have typed "premature ejaculation" but I was tired :p

And relax people, the DVD movies are still a possibility. Even though those 26 episodes would have been a sweet addition. But alas, you can't have your cake and eat it too...

Agent Olive Mar 20, 2006 07:00 PM

Great show, I started watching it just recently.

LMAO.

Well, I'm disappointed with FOX. 2 more seasons of The Simpsons and 1 more season of King of the Hill (which was suppose to be on its final season), and yet they can't ink a deal for Futurama...

...*Sigh*...

I mean they even brought Family Guy back and yet Futurama is a no-no. Cancel American Dad, and give me Futurama - NOW.

AMEN!!!

The executive at Fox is the kind of guy who goes to Jerusalem and doesn't even visit the sexeteria!

Next year in Jerusalem!

American Dad >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The War At Home

Get it right.

S?ecter Mar 20, 2006 09:11 PM

Screw Fox...I'm going to go build my own network, with hookers, and blackjack, infact forget the network and the blackjack!

Watts Mar 20, 2006 11:39 PM

Maybe they'll start Futurama up at a later date. I can still hope!

True. Very true. The War At Home shouldn't on FOX Sundays at all, especially not inbetween The Simpsons and Family Guy.

Im hoping if the sales of the new DVDs set to come out are good, FOX will be more eager to renew the show, but that would be to good to be true...lets just hope.

Arainach Mar 21, 2006 11:41 PM

I think Fox needs to be bought out by someone with common sense to better manage their copyrights and content.

* Bring Back Firefly
* Bring Back Futurama
* Kill the Simpsons
* Come to think about it, let's just kill every single show Fox currently airs.

At least the Movies and DVDs ought to be good, we can hope.

As long as you exclude 24 and Prison Break, I could totally agree with that plan. Of course, they also need to bring back Reunion, just to finish up the damn plot.

And of course, when they do bring back Futurama, they should keep it in the same timeslot for more than two weeks. That might help.

In fact, The War At Home shouldn't be on FOX at all! Or on any other channel! I don't want to hear Michael Rapaport bitch about his kids, believe it or not.

One word ..........HYPNOTOAD

http://web.qx.net/lhaddix/htoad.htm

ROBOTRON Apr 5, 2006 04:38 PM

Dang it.

How am I supposed to survive? Futurama was one of the few shows on tv I watch...period. Now that JLU is in its last season, theres nothing left but Smallville.

I wonder why all the good shows get axed and crappy reality shows go on forever.

Darkk Child Apr 5, 2006 08:43 PM

Hypnotoad is cool! I need a couple of those!

Mobius One Apr 5, 2006 08:51 PM

June 22, 2006 -- 'FUTURAMA" is officially back from the dead.
The quirky animated show from "Simpsons" creator Matt Groening was canceled by Fox about two years ago, but will return with at least 13 new episodes on Comedy Central by 2008.

This is only the second time in television history that a show sent to TV's trash heap has been resurrected. Curiously, the first was "Family Guy," also an animated Fox show.

The tale of "Futurama's" dramatic revival roughly follows that same path that "Family Guy" did.

In both cases, the shows have been successfully airing on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim late-night programming block. They both also turned into hot-selling DVD box sets.

"Family Guy" returned to Fox earlier this year, while last fall, Comedy Central outbid Adult Swim for the license to air all 52 episodes of "Futurama" and whatever new episodes might one day be produced.

This week, deals were inked to secure all of the original voice talent and the production staff of "Futurama," paving the way for the series' return to TV.

The show stars voice-over megastar Billy West (whose elastic vocal chords have provided the voices for nearly 120 different cartoons) as Philip J. Fry, a bumbling slacker from the 20th century who is accidentally cryogenically frozen in 1999 and wakes up 1,000 years later.

It is believed that the new episodes will also be released on DVD.

"Futurama" star Katey Sagal confirmed the return of the show on Comedy Central Tuesday night during an appearance on Craig Ferguson's "Late Late Show."

On Fox, "Futurama" never developed the same buzz or following of its sister show, "The Simpsons," but has since become one of the biggest shows on Adult Swim.

Fox may also have the option to air the new episodes, although it is highly unlikely to do so, according to industry sources
Fucking A, this is the best news I've heard in a long time. YES!!!!!!!!

Rockgamer Jun 22, 2006 11:48 PM

Whoo, this is fucking great, and it looks to be official this time. It's a two-year wait, but it's gonna be so worth it!

orion_mk3 Jun 23, 2006 12:54 AM

There is a God.

And he speaks binary ;)

(Seriously, this had better not be another false alarm. My system can't take it, and the Angry Dome still hasn't been repaired).
