15) Name three games in which to start a new game or load a save file, you aren't navigating a standard menu.
16) Name 3 RPGs in which you can lower your level intentionally. |

2. Final Fantasy XI (Just suicide over and over again) 3. Final Fantasy VIII (A shot in the dark, but I recall something that lowers your level that you can repeat. A monster or a blue magic ability) |

I actually have three specific games in mind for that question. As for 11), I have two other games in mind too, but was surprised at that answer. Spoiler:
Let's try some more game-specific, and possibly easier questions: 16) In Legend of Mana, who is the best NPC partner you can have in terms of synchronization ability (not counting golems/monsters)? 17) In Secret of Evermore, name two places where you can permanently get stuck if you do the wrong thing. 18) In Super Mario RPG, what is the damage limit and which attack is capable of inflicting it? |

18. I believe that Geno Whirl can do 9999 HPs of damage. I guess it's the equivalent of Ayla's Bronze Fist critical. I always use Bowser though. |

Summonmaster 15) are these the kinds of games you were thinking?
Spoiler:
Summonmaster 13) Mega Man Battle Network and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories Name 3 games that prohibit backtracking through the rest of the game if you save at the last possible point. Name 3 stateside releases of games that revolve around (or near) a japanese family Name 3 games that have rhythm "minigames" |
Quote:
Final Fantasy VII, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (Lucasarts PC version), Grim Fandango. Name three games that have gotten a 10/10 score in the respected UK videogame magazine Edge (sup OP~) |
>>Quarky
Nope.. by no means did i mean "3 rpgs". i've noticed that the rpg genre has been quite popular, so i didn't close off any other genre to that question although i think this scenario is more popular in rpgs, so more power to ya! about that trivia of yours... i couldn't do it without some research, so i've technically conceded (;_; ). I'm kinda surprised... Spoiler:

3. Final Fantasy IX (Jump Rope Minigame), Mario Party (All of them), Can't think of another one... |
Pokémon Stadium had the Drowzee game which was basically a rhythm thingy.
As for the second part of that...hm. That's hard. Some games include Japanese people as the protagonist, but many seem to have that protagonist leave home and save the world or something. |

-Brave Fencer Musashi (Topo Boss Fight), Fusion Frenzy, Darkstalkers 3 (Lilith's Gloomy Puppet Show EX Move is a mini rhythm game in itself). Some more: 19) In Secret of Mana, what happens as you use certain spells with repeated frequency? 20) In Legend of Mana, what are the three parts of the sword technique: "Beautiful Three"? 21) Name a final boss which has more than 5 different forms. |
19. You level up that elemental....like if you use Cure Water a lot of times you gain experience for Undine.
|
To cap off 19), what happens visually as well? All correct answers.
Fpr 21), there seems to be one specific rpg in my mind, but shooters are welcome. Sorry if I'm going too fast, I want to get these questions in before I forget. 22) Name three games where angels are your enemies. 23) Name three games where your weapons can break and as a result, they have to be repaired. |

19) ? The girls make motions there's a sprite of the elemental that shows up and the spell is cast. Sometimes when you get to level 9 with magic, there is the small chance that the whole screen will flash and the spell will be much more powerful.

For #22, Tales of Symphonia has a lot of angels.
|
Disgaea has angels as your enemy

It's pretty common for a US player to now have heard about Edge at all, so if they bother researching the matter, all the better =D You have a point though, with the only exception being HL2 in a way, though I'm not so sure PC even has a lifespan like a console. Edge tends to look back in retrospect to its old reviews (such as in the 100 reviews special issue), and at least with the "perfect" 10s, I personaly think they've all stood the test of time extremely well. First you take out the eyes, then the forehead, then fight the brain that morphs into multiple different forms depending where you shoot (I think there were eight forms) and once you beat the brain and grab on to the chopper, if you're playing on Hard mode, the brain will attack you one more time in a final form and you have to fight it as the chopper rises up from the cave. |
Go Go Ackman, Disgaea and ToS were the games in my mind. :)
