Besides Graphics, It still looks like one of those first B-Rated games to hit the console...

man,that aint true!!!!!

The crowd assassination and the 'theme' is already presented well in Hitman BLOODMONEY,the 'Murder of Crows' level. It was Kick ass level. The no. of NPC's floored me.Other bits in AC are also refurbished ideas of hitman with medieval theme.
Main character ripped of from Garret(Thief).
What's left is gameplay and feel,of which i am most skeptical about.

The crowd simulation and behaviour needs very bad ass programming and i wonder if UBI can pull off good programming, UBI never had good AI in previous games, even in SC series it had problems.
I have to see the in game videos to pass more judgement,i will be amazed if they will execute the ideas that look good on paper.

Well Tenchu was one of the first games to do the old times assassin game well but as we know the series got worse afterawhile.Hopefully the system will be similar enough to PoP while mixed in with taking advantage of NPCs and environment fullly. If they half ass it all the hype will be for nothing ;/

Well they just announced the Collectors Edition for Europe which comes with a 12" statue of Altair:

The US version is supposed to have a 3" figure but that's unconfirmed since there are no specs for the US Limited Edition version yet other than it's existence and RRP for $69.99.

Forsety Oct 14, 2007 06:29 PM

Wasn't it already confirmed months ago that it was coming out for the 360 anyway? I don't think that's really recent news.

Miles Oct 14, 2007 07:20 PM

Fixed the thread tag and title. I want this game but now I'm scared of which version to get. I guess whatever version that isn't the port. Because you know. Ubisoft = shitty ports.

OmagnusPrime Oct 15, 2007 11:59 AM

I'm pretty sure this is going to rock and it's been high on my 'must watch' list for a while now, so I preordered my copy today. Went for the straight up standard edition as there's no way I'm paying £20 more for a little statue thing.

Get the DS version of course

I'll probably be getting it on 360 because I like the controller better.

No collector for PC T__T

For those of you who didn't see it on IGN yet, it looks like Jesper Kyd will be doing the soundtrack for the game.

After hearing the track on that page, I agree with Ubi, he's a great fit for the medieval atmosphere.

Pokey Oct 16, 2007 04:35 PM

I love Kyd's work on Hitman. However, the track left me hanging. It fit, sure, but there was nothing about the melody that made it ipod worthy.

And that figure looks terrible. It's not detailed at all, especially from the torso up.

Ubi Forums - Preordering goodies

Canadian Limited Edition

Limited Edition in US and wherever

I just sent ubi an e-mail about this. Absolutely fucking ridiculous how Canadians got shafted here. 4 cards, that show nothing except unmemorable concept work (which BTW were advertised as signed by the artist but were blank) and a CD with trailers already available on the net. What. the. fuck. I want my comic book, asshats.

The worst part? Canadians get access to a program off that CD called 'The Artifact' which is essentially exclusive posters, trailers, artworks, even music tracks. Except the certificate of authenticity is not included, which has the code to access all this content, so we can't do shit. What, are they trying to rub it in our faces?

I must disagree. That sample, and the new track recently posted on IGN are terrific.

Wait, so the program on the disc is the same program that the yankees get, but we can't actually use it? Oh, well fuck me. Is this yet another thing I have to bounce off of an American friend? Good lord.

Kimchi Nov 10, 2007 03:51 PM

So what the heck? What's the point anyway, and isn't this developed by Ubisoft Montreal? Damn it, this is their revange for not letting them seprate apart.

Slayer X Nov 10, 2007 06:16 PM

First Stranglehold LE for the PS3 get's cancelled for Canada and now this. F*** this man, what a pile of crap. Please at least tell me that the Altair figure is still included with the LE.

Kimchi Nov 10, 2007 06:18 PM

Even though I am not PS3/360 hardcorefan, it still pisses me off when the developers/publishers screws around with the release.

Nao I am loosing my patience!

Why is not including a doll with a video game such a big deal, again?

Slayer X Nov 11, 2007 11:15 AM

For me it's because I collect figures. For everyone else it's because they took away the DVD content access and art book, so the figure is all we've got left.

It's not a doll, it's an ACTION FIGURE... :(

I'm actually debating on which one to get. I know that EB will have a few spare CEs Available. Maybe I'll just settle for the normal edition after I read some reviews and see how you guys react to it. Just a bit cautious with what I get since there's a few games coming out in a short span I wouldn't mind having, but have to choose wisely. :(

Hmm, but isn't the game what's actually important here, or am I still missing something?

I actually bought Vanguard Bandits specifically for the Lunar 2 Demo. :| I know it isn't the exact same thing, but I guess some people are sold on pre-order items as much as the game itself.

Slayer X Nov 11, 2007 11:29 AM

It's not that at all. I spent an extra $10 for the CE version, so I want $10 worth of extras. I'd buy the game either way, what we're upset over is what they deem worthy of $10, especially when the US clearly gets more for that same $10.
