Is there any difference between Little Inferno on Steam and Wii U beyond steam achievements?

I'd be happy for Dear Esther, as the game is completely up my alley, if nobody else has asked.

You are a good person.

Capo what sort of genres are we trying to find for you?

Hyde, same question.

As you could probably tell by my shopping list thus far, I am not exactly sure.

One thing I was looking for and haven't yet found was a deep RPG. Something really complex and interesting I could sink a couple hundred hours into.

As far as I know there's no difference between Little Inferno versions. I've never actually checked, but I don't think they added anything.

Nope, it's all yours. I offered both of these up as rewards for yesterday's Backloggery fundraiser stream, but neither were picked. I'll PM you the code.

THIEF Jul 15, 2013 12:12 AM

Tri, is it cool if you hook me up with Little Inferno?

My steam handle is adus_bay.

Also Skills, I like one player narratives. I'm a sucker for a good indie game and art style. Not the biggest fan of FPS in general although I enjoyed Quake and Unreal a lot back in the day. My wishlist has Fez and Limbo if that helps out.

Dark Nation Jul 15, 2013 04:07 AM

So far, I've picked up Scribblenauts Unlimited, Universe Sandbox, and The Wonderful End of the World.

If anyone wants the Toki Tori +2 coupon, its yours.

wvlfpvp Jul 15, 2013 06:45 PM

I'm not buying a lot, but I'm definitely going to buy the Lucasarts adventure set. Because I need a copy of LOOM that I own and isn't on 5.25" floppies. Might spring for Dark Forces, too.

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Jul 15, 2013 09:17 PM

To my enemies: I hate myself more than you ever could.
  • Reus
  • Terraria
  • The Swapper
  • Torchlight II
Would really like to see Morrowind and Rogue Legacy more steeply discounted, but will probably purchase them both regardless.

Jurassic Park Chocolate Raptor Jul 15, 2013 09:29 PM

I hope during the final day we get encore sales again.

Still unsure if 40% off is the sweet spot for Remember Me and Metro Last Light or if I should sit on those and wait it out.

Rogue Legacy will hopefully show up on a daily or flash or something, that'd be excellent.

Yeah me too, I'm trying really hard not to give in to the cheap prices because I know I don't the time to play them all anyway. So might as well buy a really good game where I can invest a lot of time and make the purchase well worth it.

*cough*

Planescape: Torment - GOG.com

FatsDomino Jul 16, 2013 01:39 PM

So yeah Steam gave me more stuff to gift out. Here's my list of stuff I can give away:

AudioSurf
The Wonderful End of the World
AaAaAA!!! - A Reckless Disregard for Gravity
Guest Pass: Counter-Strike: Source
The Ship, The Ship Single Player
The Ship, The Ship Single Player
Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter

That's not a bad copy/paste job. I have two copies of The Ship to give. Edit: Okay make that one now.

The unmovable stubborn Jul 16, 2013 01:48 PM

I already have all that stuff but SOMEBODY should at least take TWETW, it's the closest thing PC guys will ever get to Katamari and pretty adorable in its own right

Single Elbow Jul 16, 2013 01:55 PM

I'll take The Wonderful End of the World!

THIEF Jul 16, 2013 03:58 PM

Acer, I'm interested in AAAAAaaAAAAAaaaAAAHHHH!!!!!!

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Jul 16, 2013 08:52 PM

I assume that means you'd recommend it for $2.49, as well, Pang?

e: And but also re: Planescape. Ought I dive straight in, or maybe start off with something a bit more accessible like the first or second Fallout?

map car man words telling me to do things Jul 17, 2013 01:45 AM

Maybe start with the first Baldur's Gate if you're unfamiliar with Infinity engine RPGs. Fallout can be pretty hard unless you know what you're doing. Those games allow you to mess up big time.

Planescape a lot more player friendly and "easy" I'd say, considering your character is an immortal and just wakes up on a slab if they fall in combat. There's just tons and tons and tons of dialogue and text to read, if that's an issue for someone.

I have guides for installing both with mods and fixes and all in my gurnal:

Planescape

Baldur's Gate

Although the links in the baldur's gate instructions are probably 404 by now. I'll need to reup some files when I get home.

Jurassic Park Chocolate Raptor Jul 17, 2013 07:22 AM

Whatever you do, if you start with BG, start with the GOG install and NOT Enhanced Edition.

I definitely got more than $3 worth out of it, but if you're actually going to pay for it I will warn you that it's, you know, indie, with all the rough edges and unpolished spots that implies.

If we're talking about hidden gems, I can't help but notice that many of you don't own Alpha Prime yet.

Heh.

Heh-heh

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Jul 17, 2013 12:20 PM

Q: I love good dialogue. And I recently learned how to read. Think I'll give Planescape a go.

Pang: I've been playing a couple alphas. Think I can handle an indie deemed ready for release. And also I really don't much care for action games, which Alpha Prime seems to be.

Well if that's the reason you don't care for it I can hardly argue

Jurassic Park Chocolate Raptor Jul 17, 2013 05:13 PM

Pang you are an eminent jagoff.

wvlfpvp Jul 17, 2013 05:38 PM

So yeah, spent a whole almost seven bucks of birthday money and got the Lucasarts set I mentioned. So now I own talkie-LOOM, the two Indiana Jones pointandclicks and another copy of The Dig (which I have disc-only, and I don't remember if it's scratched to hell at this point).

Such a happy wvlf. (other things with money involved buying a set of Carol Burnett Show DVDs totallynotgayatall)

SuperSonic Jul 18, 2013 04:38 PM

Looking at nabbing Far Cry 3, but I see that the deluxe edition is $6 more. Is the extra dlc worth it?

Edit: Screw it, went ahead and grabbed it.
