Most of the times I do it too. It's bit weird name for non-french In my opinion.

I don't like my middle names at all. Yes, I have two of them. That makes for all the more reason not to tell them. I really have no idea what my parents were thinking when they gave them to me, as if changing the prounoucation of one of them was going to make it sound "cooler".

I don't even bother listing either one when I apply for jobs and stuff. And besides, it's problematic to do so. Most people ask me to choose one over the other, which I never do. Then they try to run both of them together, which doesn't work. My driver's license is a mess of four names. Yuck.

My middle name is my Chinese name so yes, I do have some sort of fondness for it. It's only for legal reasons they even put my Chinese name in there, they're in actuality two seperate entities so I guess, technically, I don't even have a middle name. Huh.

It's Tse-Chien, if no one was wondering. Tse is a type of suffix for child or kid and Chien is an over fanciful way to say pretty.

I don't mind my middle name at all. In fact, I actually like it! Yes, it's actually a common first name, but it works just as well as a middle name.
It also sounds refined and sophisticated. :edgartpg:

My middle name is Catherine and i don't really mind it that much. It's a fairly normal name so it doesn't bother me. It'd be nicer to have a weirder name though, something foreign. I was original going to have my middle name as my first name when i was born apparently but i didn't thankfully. I much prefer my first name as it is (Debbie)

My middle names are "Andrew Roger" I don't mind Andrew so much but am not super keen on Roger. >_>

My middle name is "Dominik" and I don't like it... -_- I haven't a special reason, it's just because.

Gechmir Apr 15, 2006 12:02 PM

My middle name is Scott.

I like it very much ;D Marshall Scott H_______ has a ring to it IMHO.

My first and middle names are Italian so it's hard for people to say them at first since they're unfamiliar (I guess). My last name isn't hard to pronounce at all, but it's very uncommon and I really don't know what ethnicity it originates from.

My username on here is my middle name, so I guess that answers the question for me. I like it, but I don't really go by it in real life. Usually it's limited to usernames online like here when it isn't already taken.

I've been called by my middle name ever since i was a baby (apparently) but yeah. With regards to my first name, I've no problems with being called my first name, but people end up calling me by my middle name instead =)

I like my middle name of Angeline, but I only ever heard it used when I was in trouble as a kid. :P

Eh, my middle name's James. It's not that exciting. Perhaps if it was just 'Jam' or something, then it might be exciting. But then I guess it depends on what sort of jam we're talking about. Such confusion.

It's Mandarin Chinese. Tse is at Zhongwen.com but it doesn't have Chien. In fact, I've only run across 2 dictionaries in my time that even had it in there, it's an old poetic way of saying beautiful so most modern Chinese-English dictionaries wouldn't include since it's basically not part of everyday language.

My middle name is Manuel. According to Dev, I have the most generic Mexican names ever invented. :(

:fudev: Juan Manuel for the MOTHERFUCKING WIN!

My aunt and uncle had a cat they named Manuel...but my grandparents couldn't remember it's name, so they just called it any vaguely Mexican-sounding name they could think of...Emmanuel, Miguel, 'Manual' (heavy American accent pronunciation)...it's the thing I always associate the name with.

Sorry :p

Oh god... Thanks a lot. Now everyone's going to peg me as a furry pussy. :tpg:

Here I just wrote the character out for you. To be honest I never formally learned pinying, I went to a Taiwanese chinese School here in the States so we learned zhuyin instead.

Chien is the way my parents formally spelled it on my birth certificate but I'm not positive what form of pinying it actually is. They spelled Tse instead of Zi (the way Zhongwen.com has it) so I'm assuming it's not the same type of pinying that site has.

Just curious but why are you so interested?

Watashi_Baka_Da Apr 16, 2006 10:38 PM

I don't really like my middle name. It's way over done, but it is flowy.

Michelle

Megan.

I don't mind it I guess. it was going to be my first name, but the other lady in the pregnancy ward with my mom had her baby the day before I was born and she named her Megan, so my mom decided it'd just be my middle name instead.
