I suppose for me it depends on what nerd you want. The comic book nerd? (although admittedly, that one hasn't been around for a while) The anime/manga nerd? The book nerd? Or the orch dork? Because I have a little something for each.
I guess I'll go with my collection of Violinist of Hameln manga, in Japanese, in addition to the art book, the postcard books and the drama CDs from my anime days. I headed myself off at the pass before I started buying stuff from Rinkya, like toys and shit. It's all in Japanese, and it's not like I can understand it. But I can stare at it and love :(. For regular comics... I still retain my collection of Archie Sonic the Hedgehog comics, from #0-125, plus all the mini-series and super-specials in between (Knuckles, Tails, Princess Sally, etc). Almost all are NM condition. I also have a shit-ton of anything to do with Venom or Carnage... and some Dawn stuff. No variant covers or anything, though. I don't think I'm that nerdy with music. Granted, I manage to get all the CDs from Kaizers Orchestra from Norway, but they're my favorite band. If I had all the singles in the various vinyls, then I'd be being a nerd about it . I also have autographed CDs from Dax Riggs, Andrew Bird, Muse and the White Ghost Shivers (local ATX band). I also am working (apparently) on a collection of Vaughan-Williams music for viola. And viola music in general. And books...well... I have around 400. I suppose for some people that's not a lot, but for the amount of space I have it is. My library is here, although it needs some updating. I have to renew my membership. Aside from that... I dunno. I own a Dreamcast? And a Sega Nomad. All the old Sonic games. That might count for something. :erm: |

All the figures aside, probably my nerdiest possession would be the X-Japan Virtual Shock 001 for Sega Saturn. Being a huge fan of X, I HAD to buy it even though I didin't have a Saturn at that time (bought one a year later). Spoiler:

Well I cosplay and thats probably the nerdiest thing a white tiny girl could do. I like doing it, makes me feel like a different person or I'm the character all along or something @_@!
I also have a collection of anime plushies (gintama, nana related) and even a Toro plushie and those are just for plain awesome or cuteness. The toro plushie alone was 30 bucks :S and you know Toro is fuckin awesome. Oh, besides that also own the first shin megami tensei games (genesis and snes versions). And thats just for "HAHA I HAVE THEM" quality. Not that I'd play them since they are in japanese and I have perfectly good ROMs, but heyyyy they are awesome :( |
2 5-shelf bookshelves of manga. The shelves go to the ceiling. There is almost no space left. I'd post pics but they wouldn't be recent.

Now you mention it, I have a couple of others, though not that seriously nerdy:

I've also got Gon stashed away somewhere. |
An R4DS. Being a Nintendo pirate is nerdy.

I have Yamato Macross transforming toys of the VF-1S and YF-21. Plus the strike armor for the former.
I also have 8" figurines of GlitchBob and Matrix from Reboot. (I have Skies of Arcadia... for Gamecube) |

I have Skies of Arcadia on the Dreamcast (a white-label disc direct from Sega no less), so what? I didn't realise fairly common games made it onto the list of overly nerdy things to possess. If they do then I've got a whole load of things to be classified as nerdy possessions.

I collect alot of figures. It's just the amount of is nerdy not so much as collecting figures itself. Well that is.. but.. you get the point.

Top of CPU tower Spoiler:
And 1 shelf(6 level) that is not shown is solely dedicated to Touhou doujins which is now full. Another part of the shelf is artbooks. 2 for mangas and 2 for anime. But if I had to say the truest nerdiest item I own is my Yuyuko Saigyouji Dakimakura. Heh. |
