Set off by a vegetable, no doubt. :p

But hey, OUNCE was your word which made this all possible!

nuttyturnip Aug 30, 2007 11:49 AM

My words for today are SMACK/VIDETTES (76 points) and JOVIAL (34 points). I wanted very badly to do something else (I won't say what), but lack of decent vowels prevented me.

ctu Aug 30, 2007 12:47 PM

oK I play the words

EXECUTER (35)
NE (2)

and

RUBUS (7)

letters remaining "FJ"

Acro-nym Aug 30, 2007 03:23 PM

With few good options, I played ANNELID through JIVE for 45 points.

Franky Mikey Aug 30, 2007 06:10 PM

The game most definitely hates me.

BOOGIE (30) - off the B in RUBUS
AUDITEES (22) - off the E in BENCHED

orion_mk3 Aug 30, 2007 09:17 PM

That's what I get for putting letters in just before bed, I guess.

Anyway, I'll play MANHOOD, since that's more or less what's at stake. It also forms OD, which is on the official two-letter list.

EDIT:

The second and final word of the night is HAFT, which uses the H in HAIL and the A in FOUNTAIN.

Yeldarb Aug 30, 2007 09:38 PM

CLOVER: 28
DOTTER: 36

POINTS: 64
SCORE: 186

Nutty, on my records for day two I had 124 points. But your math says 122. Care to tell?

nuttyturnip Aug 30, 2007 10:20 PM

orion_mk3 ctu used the one R he had to make EXECUTER, so he forfeits the turn and points for RUBUS. As Face has already played off that word, I can't take it off the board.

Actually, upon further review, I gave you too many points yesterday. The dispute is with the word DAFTER. You gave yourself 28 points; I somehow came up with 26 this morning (the R is a blank, so you lost 2 points), but when I add it up manually now, it's actually only worth 18 points [(2+1+4+1+1+0)x2=18]. I've adjusted your score accordingly.

Before you ask, I came up with CLOVER (34) and DOTTER (24) for today.

What? I played MANHOOD, OD, and HAFT. I think you're confusing me with ctu.

Sousuke Aug 30, 2007 11:56 PM

Here's today's moves~

RE[L]AXANTS off the E in BOOGIE, for 69 points.
SHAKY, using the H and K in both HOAGIE and SMACK, for 30 points.
Today's score: 99 points; Letters left: J-N-V

Total so far: 284, I think~

TheKnightOfNee Aug 31, 2007 01:41 AM

First move:

EXOTICA - 51 (double letter score I, triple word score)

AM - 3

Second move:

ZAP - 34 (triple letter score Z)

ZA - 31 (triple letter score Z)

AX - 9

PA - 4

132 points today, I believe. Much better.

Yeah, sorry about that. The scores in the first post were correct, I just typed the wrong name.

The new letters for today are up a little early, since I've got some other stuff to attend to this morning. Face may have a bingoable hand today, except for that pesky Q, but Zergrinch has a good hand as well.

Plarom still has until 10am to make his move for yesterday.

Zergrinch Aug 31, 2007 09:58 AM

My first move is GONOCYTE, attaching to the R in rubus. This forms GONOCYTE and RE for 30 points.

My second move is LEITED on the N in gonocyte, forming LENITED for 54 points.

Bingo!

Total points today: 30+54+50 = 134.

Clamjouster Aug 31, 2007 10:19 AM

ok I haven't calculated scores yet, but I will later

BUREAUS
WOS
WE
SI

I will try to add them ASAP.

Franky Mikey Aug 31, 2007 11:48 AM

Looks like the bingo fairy has skipped my house again.

POO (10) - off the P in TULIPS
DRAGOONING (90) - off the O in POO

100 points for today.

Sousuke Aug 31, 2007 12:33 PM

Damn you, Js! No bingo today.

JOINTED, off D in DOTTER, for 48 points.
VARIOUS, off R in EXECUTOR, for 20 points.
The S in VARIOUS formed OUTFAWNS, for another 14 points.

Points today: 82, Letters left: J-R

Total: 366

ctu Aug 31, 2007 03:05 PM

Ok So today I have :D

OBVIOUS (13)

and thats it for right now

Acro-nym Aug 31, 2007 07:10 PM

I start by playing FLUORI[D]E across OBVIOUS for 40 points.

My second turn is playing THUGS using the S in OBVIOUS for 18 points.

Letters remaining: IOU

Funny.

nuttyturnip Aug 31, 2007 08:47 PM

I don't have time to tabulate the new scores at the moment, but I played WHILE (38 points) and GLOVING (32 points) for today. I spent way too much time thinking about this at work, and don't feel like staring at the board tonight as well.

Yeldarb Aug 31, 2007 11:00 PM

I'm too tired to make a move tonight, so I'll just trade in some tiles.

A, E, A, O

ctu Aug 31, 2007 11:33 PM

Ok my last word of the day is

P[O]UFF (18)

TheKnightOfNee Sep 1, 2007 04:17 AM

First move:

JOSHED - 50 (double letter score J, double word score)

DO - 6 (double word score)

Second move:

HAILS - 9 (double letter score S)

SWOON - 18 (souble letter score S, double word score)

Remaining letters: A-O-A-I

nuttyturnip Sep 1, 2007 09:03 AM

Letters and scores updated for today.

Franky Mikey Sep 1, 2007 09:24 AM

Maybe today's set was bingoable, but I wasn't about to abandon a 3x3 spot to Zergrinch anybody.

WHEE (20) - off the W in SWOON
VENDETTAS (126) - off the E in WHEE

Total: 146. Letters left: Q, Y, L.

Acro-nym Sep 1, 2007 09:38 AM

My first play is QUIVERED down through ACTIVATORS for 46 points.

I can't think of anything to play and can't spend the time thinking about it. I'll just swap out my Is.
