Its like last week all over again.

ATM ND is above UCLA 20-6
LSU is losing to Florida 14 to 24
Wisconsin Lost
Georgia lost

so apparently Cal could pop up to Number one without even having to play

russ Oct 6, 2007 10:41 PM

Stanford beat USC. That is pretty shocking. Not so much that USC lost, because we all knew that they weren't going to go undefeated, but to lose to STANFORD? Wow, that is just crazy.

Additional Spam:
Also, LSU with an exciting comeback win against Florida. I'm happy about that, since LSU is the lesser of two evils here, plus it is always good to keep an SEC team ranked number one.

Trigunnerz Oct 6, 2007 11:01 PM

I can't believe what happened. USC lost to Stanford by one point. But ya, I have to agree with russ. It was going to very hard to go undefeated (we have Oregon and Cal as away games) but to Stanford? That just hurts. The last time we lost at a home game was back in 2001 to Stanford. This is some crazy karma thing or something.

Hopefully this will be a wake up call for our football team.

Fight on! And beat the Wildcats!

xman25 Oct 6, 2007 11:21 PM

Looks like a miracle happened, Notre Dame won!!!! Notre Dame was suppose to lose by 22 points. But UCLA helped Notre Dame a lot. According to ESPN, UCLA turned the ball over seven times and had 11 penalties for 93 yards. I have a feeling that this might be Notre Dame's only win this year.

I don't want to play SC next week. I mean, we looked like shit today against Oregon State. And SC is gonna be pissed.

SC 60 - 10 Arizona

:(:(

Michigan State lost their second straight close game today. After missing a chance to beat Wisconsin last week, they go into overtime with Northwestern this week and blow it. This looks like the start of the typical late-season MSU spiral.:(

IdleChill Oct 7, 2007 05:04 AM

Yeah, that LSU game was mighty exciting and to think I had the opportunity to go but turned it down.

I was extremely happy to see that USC lost. =)

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Oct 7, 2007 03:21 PM

South Florida in the top five; pigs take to the skies. More at eleven.

Strife Oct 7, 2007 03:49 PM

When do they start the BCS polls?

russ Oct 7, 2007 04:27 PM

Week 8 I think, so that would be next week or the week after I guess.

Slash Oct 13, 2007 07:05 PM

Kentucky knocks off LSU in triple overtime

43-37

Trigunnerz Oct 13, 2007 07:29 PM

Yay! Victory! 20-13! Though Sanchez's performance wasn't stellar, it was good. McKnight for the save!

Beat the Irish!

PS
LSU! Oh God! They actually lost. So does this mean Cal will be rank #1?!

BlueMikey Oct 13, 2007 07:30 PM

Well, Cal is losing at home right now to Oregon State (?!?)...so...Ohio State #1? South Florida #2????

Slash Oct 13, 2007 07:53 PM

Cal above Oregon State -- 14-13

Cal is at a mega disadvantage since Longshores sitting out and it looks like Riley, I think his name is, is a relative newcomer who is trying to, or was trying in the first quarter, to try and play a running game with a VERY agile Oregon St. defense.

Where Longshore, from what I saw during the Oregon game, relied on a very heavy passing game.

Trigunnerz Oct 13, 2007 09:41 PM

Holy fucking shit! LSU loses, and now Cal loses to OSU 31-28!

Huh. This is mind boggling.

Go Trojans! There is still a good chance of us going to championships!

Slash Oct 13, 2007 09:41 PM

Kevin Riley is a FUCKING IDIOT!

There was a reasonable chance Cal had to tie or win it but no...Mr. Dumbass decides to run the ball with no fucking time outs

russ Oct 13, 2007 09:46 PM

So it looks like Ohio State will be number one, with BC at two and South Florida at three I guess.

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Oct 13, 2007 09:48 PM

The way things are going Notre Dame still has a shot at the title.

Slash Oct 13, 2007 09:49 PM

So It looks like Cal and LSU will get pushed down to numbers 7-10. Oregon and USC will get pushed up to I'd say 5-6 respectively.

Oregon St. is actually playing like a football team like they were last year and not a bunch of morons with their heads cut off.

russ Oct 13, 2007 09:50 PM

USC should not, simply by virtue of having lost a week earlier, be ranked ahead of LSU. Kentucky is a ranked opponent of a much higher quality than Stanford.

IdleChill Oct 13, 2007 09:53 PM

LSU deserved to lose that game. Piss poor.

My alma mater lost as well, but that was to be expected.

Now all the Saints have to do is follow what they've been doing all season and I'll be a perfect 3-0--in the loss department.

Slash Oct 13, 2007 09:55 PM

Yeah, I agree on LSU...in triple overtime, LSU should have had that sack on the slant play. Defender just decided to take it a little slow.

BlueMikey Oct 13, 2007 09:59 PM

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you your national championship game: Boston College vs. Arizona State.

I wonder if that would finally get the NCAA to wake up to the absolute need for a playoff.
