In this case it's Prague or Bratislava, I'm not very sure.
Also, it looks like it's something that the former Czechoslovakia republic might offer in architectural department :D

Damn, I'm late

Face is correct, another city, please :)

Franky Mikey Aug 18, 2007 08:45 AM

Alright, good luck!

gulahi Aug 18, 2007 08:56 AM

Dunno, maybe Kaliningrad?

Franky Mikey Aug 18, 2007 09:05 AM

Not quite. Right country, though!

gulahi Aug 18, 2007 09:17 AM

Russian port? Hm, I can only think of Murmansk and Vyborg

nuttyturnip Aug 18, 2007 09:19 AM

Vladivostok, perhaps? I suck at European geography.

Franky Mikey Aug 18, 2007 09:21 AM

Vladivostok is the correct answer!

nuttyturnip Aug 18, 2007 09:46 AM

That's really the only Russian port that came to mind.

Try this one on for size (sorry for the date stamp):

Hmmm. I'm gonna guess Italy? Or something close. The architecture resembles some pictures I saw. Also the city layout is similiar. I guess Italy isn't a city though(I'm still a little drunk haha). But I think it is definitely a city in Italy

Adol Aug 18, 2007 09:57 AM

Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon, right?

Just guessing, because I saw that picture while I was looking for one to post earlier. ^_^'

gulahi Aug 18, 2007 10:02 AM

It would very hard even to name a country. My guess - Portugal, Spain, Turkey or Greece. Something with a warm climate.

nuttyturnip Aug 18, 2007 10:05 AM

Adol is correct. Didn't expect that one to go so fast.

Zergrinch Aug 18, 2007 11:41 AM

My goodness. You fellows are a great bunch of world travelers. I couldn't even identify a single picture :(

Adol Aug 18, 2007 12:07 PM

Okay, part 2 FIGHT

Smelnick Aug 18, 2007 12:22 PM

I'm just gonna go ahead and throw out a guess of Chicago. Those buildings just seem kinda north america-ish.

gulahi Aug 18, 2007 01:03 PM

New York maybe

Dullenplain Aug 18, 2007 03:00 PM

I have a feeling it is an Australian city, perhaps Perth, based on the rather small number of tall buildings.

nabhan Aug 18, 2007 03:17 PM

GIS shows that the picture is Perth

http://www.destination360.com/austra...alia/perth.php

I kept thinking the city was American because of the buildings. I couldn't find anything that looked similar though. All the bigger US cities have a much denser skyline than that ;_;

Dullenplain Aug 18, 2007 03:35 PM

Guess I'll go ahead with the new city to guess:

correct answer given by Lord Styphon:
It's the Medical Center from Houston, Texas

nabhan Aug 18, 2007 04:01 PM

I'm going to make an unfounded guess and say San Antonio? I'm just assuming that because of the huge parking lots and roads :3

More like Houston. I can tell because of the twin-topped building and having seen it too damn many times over the years.

Since I know I'm right (and oh-boy will it be bad if I'm somehow wrong), I give you this:

Correct answer given by ^___^
Spoiler:
La Rochelle, France

Franky Mikey Aug 18, 2007 06:16 PM

Based on this picture, I'm going to guess La Rochelle.

Lord Styphon Aug 18, 2007 06:24 PM

And you would be right. Excellent work.

Dullenplain Aug 18, 2007 06:39 PM

Styphon identified the Houston Medical Center correctly . . . I would have also been tempted to use the skylines of the Galleria District or Greenspoint to see what happens, but oh well.
