Nothing new here. Just people unknowledgeable about the game industry and games in general picking and choosing isolated events to further their agendas. It's been done before and it'll be done again.

In any case, I tried reading through the comments posted on the blog, but it mostly degenerated into "no one complained about white zombies" and "it's just a game" arguments. It got old quick.

I definitely don't agree with the blog's message though. It stinks of a lack of research and a quick draw response to, a frankly, poor quality video (at least get a better version linked if you're gonna complain! My eyes will thank you.) What's worse is that they shut down commenting on their first post, took a cheap (and stereotyped) shot at the gaming community in the second, and failed to provide and sort of concrete or knowledgeable reply to criticism.

And why are none of the other issues they posted on that blog (at least the ones I saw from the front page) not open to comments? Are those issues are not as open to discussion as some game that hasn't even been released yet?

God, why is it that you always hear about "Racism against blacks" and never a white person screaming "RACIST!!!"

That's a very dumb statement to make, since it can be construed that you were saying it's ok to make blacks look bad as a race.

Oops, my bad. I thought he said he was white in his comments, but I read it too fast. He said So he's American, but I don't know if he's white or not. So I am racist it seems, but who isn't just a little racist or prejudice these days. I still liked his video though: Aunt Jemima, lol :x

People who say things like this are the true racists and problems in this world. They show disrespect to their own race and other races by neglecting to focus on the true racial problems in this world by wasting time with BS like this.

The funny thing is, now that this game is being blown completely out of propoertion, white supremacists are going to go out and buy the game with the idea not of killing zombies, but of killing blacks. If she had said nothing, I doubt there would've been much incident. But by exposing herself and the stupid idea of rasicm in RE5, she is actually hurting herself more and making herself more vulnerable.

This whole thing is a waste of time and resources. Its not only making a case of nothing, but taking attention away from racism in the real world. She really should've thought this through a little more before arguing her case.

i had a feeling that they were going to have moan about this. i don't care whether they are black or fucking blue! the woman who is saying this is a fucking idiot. i agree with you Miles. they could have moaned about this type of thing with biohazard 4, saying that the main character is shooting spanish men and women. the thing as well is they are not human (the enemies in biohazard 4 that is)!!

You guys think this racist flavored hype around RE5 could result in receiving AO-rating? I mean, you could kill children in Deus Ex and soon in Bioshock (if it doesn't get delayed again). That's more shocking then shooting black zombies in my opinion.

In addition to the other games you could kill children in, but I wouldn't say the Little Sisters are really children in Bioshock. It's like they spent so much time de-humanizing them and now they expect us to seriously define them as children with ghoulish faces, orange eyes that glow in the dark, and a metabolism that digests dead people goo.

Plus when you harvest them, you don't actually see the act of doing it in Bioshock. It apparently just fades to black during the process.

Gaming's come a long way since you could blow kids up with a rocket launcher in Fallout...

then again aswell, if i have to admit, i do not understand why she is having such a big fuss over this. in my opinion it is just a game and nothing else. i have been playing the biohazard series ever since i was 13 and this has not made me think any differently, so why should biohazard 5 make me think differently?

Reminds me of when Black Hawk Down was released and someone sued the film makers for being racist by portraying blacks as these violent horde-like savages. It would seem as if portraying a black character in anything close to or resembling a bad light is unacceptable.

And to think in Africa they're probably already too busy killing themselves to really care, maybe all these crazy people ought to be more concerned about actual massacres of blacks in Africa than whats going on in a video game.
