I guess we'll see a lot of Persona 3 avatars/signatures following todays release. I'm really interested in this game.

I'm frustrated at Gamestop also... I'm still gonna check everyday to see if they have it in yet or anything.

But once everyone has their copy, I wouldn't mind doing a Persona 3 theme week if anyone is up to it.

Whatever. I'm going to hold off a couple days in any case. Just got Madden which will keep me occupied for awhile. I don't see this special edition selling out anytime soon, so there should be a copy available somewhere next week or so. I'll just have to live vicarously through the praise that (hopefully) will be heaped upon the game here.

I phoned a B&M around here and they said they'd be in Thursday (which is a standard one day delay for this sort of thing up here in this area.)

Plus, the 18th is a Saturday. When was the last time anything shipped on a Saturday?

Now I just have to hope my Gamestop won't be packed full of people trying to GET DAT MADDEN tomorrow. They're too hardcore for me; I only want to buy my game about schoolkids shooting themselves in the face and leave.

I laughed at this for a good while, mainly because I immediately imagined this one guy I know saying it. Ah well, there's probably someone out there making fun of us and our an hero game.

Okay kids! School officially starts today! All your local GS/EBs should have them and if you pre-ordered, you should have gotten one of those lame phone messages by now.

Can't wait! I'll probably end up waiting a little while at the store for the delivery truck to show up because I want this game in my hands as soon as possible. I'll only have a few hours to play it before I go to work, which kind of bums me out, but oh well, I suppose. At least I'll finally get to check this baby out!

Seriously, where is the fucking game, Atlus?

Oh most definitely my friend. Being a fan of both Madden and your standard RPG, I've had my share of enjoyable moments hanging out with diehard fans of each who look down on the other.

In any case, all I know, is that my copy of Madden arrived safely, while apparently if you want to buy a copy of Persona 3 online, you're out of luck, unless you want to give Gamestop a try (as they claim to have copies...although a search of store inventories show zero copies across the board, at least for the regions I searched for). Amazon still is delaying shipment till the 19th (Sunday?), Bestbuy till the 20th.

This is pretty much not *how* to do a release Atlus.

Well, EBGames was processing my order for most of yesterday and I checked and it's been shipped already. Hell, the package is somewhere in the city at the moment. But yeah, there's some fumbling going on somewhere, hopefully they clear this up somehow.

Thank god it wasn't released while I was sleeping. I just slept for 12 hours. Yikes.

I don't expect to get my physical copy for at least two weeks :( Since I pre-ordered from Play-Asia. They take longer because first they have to get the game in from overseas to Hong Kong, before shipping it out. But, hey, at least they're reliable.

I haven't been this hyped up for a game in a very long time. The suspense is killing me. ;_;

Oddly enough, it arrived here in Houston, and it's going elsewhere, THEN being delivered back to me o_o I won't ask questions... Just gotta find out when UPS drops by the office here.

Good to hear that's it out. I've actually got some more outside confirmation that they've found physical copies as well. The prophecy has been fulfilled!

Same. It's already out for delivery, though UPS usually doesn't drop things off till 4-7ish.

Which makes me burn with generic rage, or at least it would if I Suikoden V hadn't arrived yesterday. All is well with the cosmos at this point, and it'll only get better when the package arrives.

All right! I just got mine and am very excited to jump in. Ha, I felt like such an idiot at the store, because when the dude behind the counter handed it to me, I was all like "Hey, doesn't this come with an art book?" He then pointed into the box containing the game. I had no idea that it was going to be a smaller one and while I was a little disappointed initially by it's size, after looking at it for awhile it's pretty nice regardless. I also didn't know it would be a hardcover, which really pleases me quite a bit.

The Soundtrack CD, not surprisingly, is not the entire OST. Still though, I wish they would have just released the complete soundtrack instead of just 18 tracks.

Anyways, despite these minor gripes, I'm pretty darn happy with the packaging when all is said and done. Though the wait was rather excruciating, I appreciate what Atlus has done to stay loyal to it's fans and they shall remain one of the best game companies out there because of it. Not to mention the quality of the games they put out.

Well, off I go to play!

No luck on my part. My Gamestop has no idea what's going on with shipments. T_T
