whoa.

Do you have an anatomy book where you copy those muscle diagrams from? Or you get them from the internet? Or are they from one of your classes?

Just the book, although I am sure you can probably find better reference on the internet, its just that it isn't something that I can carry everywhere.

Edit: oh yeah, namor is an asshole.

Meth, those sketches looks really good. ;3 I love the expressiveness of their expressions.

Meth: I really like how you get all your drawings to look really clean. Mine always tend to be dirty as hell. Well, what can you expect from a novice?

Magi: You ever thought of becoming of doctor?

Ok, so I downloaded zbrush yesterday and got a chance to screw around this morning. This took about 45mins after I figured out what some of the tools are. I think I have a new addiction.

All opencanvas and a tablet sir.

galen Jul 12, 2007 11:23 PM

The guys who make opencanvas need to have a little pow-wow with the photoshop kids and let them in on their brush engine....

Magi Jul 15, 2007 12:58 AM

immp: WOW, that's very nice image, you capture it just perfect. :D How come I haven't seen your stuff for a while? Maybe its just me.

Ooo, I really like the eye shade and the hair ties, very sexy :3.

RagnarokX Jul 17, 2007 11:27 AM

That Zbrush is amazing it seems... Is that just for creating still images, or could you take that into some kind of 3-d program like Maya and actually animate it? Regardless it's amazing work. I have seen kids work on animations in Maya for weeks that aren't even close to that detailed, but then again they can animate the character... Still awesome work! Another question for Meth and Magi, do you use photoshop and some kind of pen and tablet to do the coloring or "digital painting"?

Meth Jul 17, 2007 01:09 PM

RagnarokX, Yeah zbrush works in 3D and a deal they call 2.5D which is kinda weird, but you can get some cool effects. You can use zbrush as a modeling program and export models as .obj files which can be opened in Maya and Max to be rigged an animated.

I use a Wacom Intuos 2 that I've had for a few years. It's been great so far. It took me a bit to get used to. At first, I would only use it to color, but i've since gotten the hang of drawing digitally as well. It makes for a quick workflow since it's so easy to erase. I also use the tablet for zbrushing.

Now that I'm done with school, I'm thinking about setting aside some cash and upgrading to a Wacom Cintiq.

Magi Jul 17, 2007 01:40 PM

Meth, the model is really looking good so far. very exrpessive too. :o Zbrush is certainly very nice for those organic detail isn't it? O.o;; It would be fun to see the full character animated.

As for the question. I use OpenCanvas and a junkie brand tablet, it works. <.<;;
