Try these for multi-quotes:

Should do the trick, albeit tiny. The second one is meant to look like a button pressed.

The AJAX progress bar looks awkward, too: http://www.gamingforce.com/forums/im...c/progress.gif

Miles Dec 28, 2006 07:10 PM

Nice. I'll add as soon as I get home unless blah beats me to it.

Drex Dec 28, 2006 07:13 PM

The problem with the multi-quote button, also, is that we'll have to shrink down the existing edit and quote buttons to make space for them to coexist peacefully on the same line. The three will be too wide if we go as presently constituted.

We'll have to abbreviate it, too. xquote, or something. Or have the multi quote be an extension of the quote button. =o

Although I guess the tiny ones work.

Rock Dec 28, 2006 07:20 PM

Edit, quote and the HUUUUGE multiquote buttons already fit in the same line here.

The postbit has a fixed width, so it shouldn't be a problem even with lower resolutions.

Drex Dec 28, 2006 07:26 PM

Yeah, I had to edit my post to make provision for the tiny thing you posted, because I actually didn't notice it when I first posted. I was anticipating having one of equal size to the other two, and that wouldn't work.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure we haven't always used gay buttons in our PM system.

I don't know who added how full one's PM box is, but
I like the new feature. Kudos to them!

This is what I mean, BTW:

Ooh, nice. I noticed that extra variable under the PM statistics when I updated the navbar, but I thought it only showed up when your PM box is completely filled.

In other news, new reply template updated. Multiquote should now work fully. (Click on a few multiquote buttons, then click 'quote'). In fact, if you're feeling adventurous, try multiquoting posts from several threads. Notice the message that shows up just below the message area in new reply.

Fleshy Fun-Bridge Dec 28, 2006 08:10 PM

The multiquote button 'down' state is very subtle. It would be hard to pick out if you had to scroll back and unquote someone. Maybe add some kinds of glow?

I agree. Switching to the better one now.

Scarletdeath Dec 28, 2006 10:01 PM

Your PM box is 94% full.

Personally I see that as a waste of space and it makes the top area looks messy. The max is 400; how bad can your math be to actually need that counter. Can someone atleast remove the "bolding" for that sentence?

Miles Dec 28, 2006 10:21 PM

Doublepost prevention is back on. Everything is good except for the auto refresh. Blah will have to fix that.

Then that message will always be there for me :gonk:
Yeah, well, at least it doesn't get in the way.. I think it's better if that little message is included under our private message page in forums/private.php instead of what it is now.

Also, just realized when we quote someone, the tag includes post number after their names; i.e. [QUOTE=Yamamanama;352849] and a shortcut. Nifty new feature..

[edit] Oshi there's a mini loading animation when I click edit.

Hmm, I considered that.

Actually upon further inspection some other people appeared
in CC when browsing, so I guess you can disregard that part of
what I said before.

Also, I propose this be used as an emoticon:

I'm not sure if this is a good place to ask for this, but seeing as your going about with changes and whatnot, I thought I'd give it a shot:

Would it be possible to increase the size (length and width) of the Quick Reply and Advanced Reply paragraph input fields? Thanks.

Bigblah Dec 29, 2006 01:50 AM

Replacement images uploaded, thread started date now shows up properly. I've implemented it as a plugin this time, so it should not break the next time we upgrade the board.

Elixir Dec 29, 2006 01:50 AM

I'm n0t sure if anyone's noticed but all threads are showing their start date at 1970.

Also, can we move the Last Edited by Username at 4:33 PM thing to above people's signatures? It just bugs me since it makes sigs look messy. I noticed if you edit your response within about a minute of posting it, it won't show the reason for editing or anything, but if you come back in 10 minutes and change something, it'll display an edit.

Hasn't it always been like that?

Drex Dec 29, 2006 01:59 AM

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's always been the norm. I like it, though I'd like the non-showing-up time extended to 2 minutes.

Crash "Long-Winded Wrong Answer" Landon Dec 29, 2006 03:39 AM

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but the moderator's "Move Thread" screen displays some peculiar results.

None of the thread moving options are labelled. The selection icons are there, and seemingly functional, but if you're trying to leave a redirect notice, you'll never know which option to click.

Also, the "Move Thread" button isn't labelled at all. It lies blank, next to the "Reset Fields" button.

Haha, I was just coming to post about the same error. I'm trying to remember which one was the choice I wanted. :p

Bigblah Dec 29, 2006 04:03 AM

I haven't gotten to those templates yet. I'm now in my university computer lab bidding on my modules.

I'll finish up the rest when I get back.

Ah. One of the pleasures of being a forum administrator is that we have the ability to stealth edit our posts without the reason showing up unless we tell it to.
