Amazing stuff, you even have a Wii =o.

Might as well post my slightly behind-the-times setup (minus the 360 I barely touch.)
Spoiler:
Not pictured or barely visible is my slim ps2 (that's Disgaea and R-type delta on top of it), Dreamcast, NES, and a old xbox.

Here's where I actually do most of my gaming (the laptop is basically my snes machine when not at work.) The embarrassing part is that I actually tried to tidy up this desk before taking a picture. But that's ok, soon I will be reorganizing my entire room to replace some old equipment. Probably after finals =3.

Dirty?

I thought that's just a reflection of the tv and bundles of wires.

Sousuke Nov 22, 2006 06:38 AM

Bah, everyone's got all these nice TVs and setups... I've got the surround sound system going in the living room, but it's 'complimented' by a shitty old 27" TV. And whenever the screen goes really light/bright/white, the picture flickers and sometimes cuts out. It's REALLY annoying trying to navigate the Wii menus, especially the Wii Shop Channel, cause it's all white-based.

I'm looking to pick up a nice HDTV though, and I see a LOT of that Samsung one. Any other suggestions?

Also, will post pics as soon as I find batteries for my camera.

[edit] That didn't take long. Thumbnails linked to full versions so I don't stretch the forum.

That's not all my games... My brother brought a few to a friends place, and a couple others are on loan. The last one shows both 'stations' pretty well. Glowing Wii disc slot ftw! :D

Notice how the gamcube is nothing but a stand for some of my art works. I have a saturn somewhere but its been on a long timeout
also my ps1 games are buried in the bottom shelf of the pc, do u notice the fallen chrono cross ^^;
all my stuff is falling apart ;_;

Edit: also, the shoe boxes are filled with old to new magazines going back to a chrono trigger strategy guide

Congle line of abuse. Or is that conga-line. Or congaline. Nov 23, 2006 10:10 PM

About a year ago I set this up. It evolved over the course of the one week I had in my Burbank home while on xmas break. The people in the photos are not me. My mom, on the other hand, can be seen creeping behind a door in photo #3.

Good times.

Mac Pro Quad, 4 2.66GHz cores, 1GB RAM, 512MB Radeon X1900XT. It's a beast in all the latest games, in OS X or in Windows. I love it.

No consoles yet, but I bought the Dell 2407 so I'd have options for the next gen ones. Xbox 360 is probably first on the list because of Gears of War and Assassin's Creed. PS3 will be added whenever a Fumito Ueda game is out for it yet. Wii I'll decide on after a while. I have a PS2, but not here... it's back in VA with my other stuff. Need to get that crap sent, actually.

Kmoms-
Killer setup man. That must be a screaming gaming machine!! If you had a 8800GTX, you could 3dMark higher than any other PC bastards!
BTW, What is that knob thing on the desk? I've always wanted one of those, but I keep forgetting what it is called. Help!!

I'll post my setup in the next week. I've got a HTPC hooked up to a 32" HDTV, a Cube, N64, SNES, PS1, and an Atari all hooked up. Also a Wii temporarily but it's my roomies. Check back soon...

guyinrubbersuit Nov 24, 2006 01:01 AM

Here's my stuff. These pics were taken a while ago, and not much has changed except that I have a Saturn now that is not hooked up because of lack of space.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4.../my_room01.jpg

In the bookshelf are various books, most are game related, the rest are science fiction and fantasy, followed by my collection of PS2, GCN, XB, PSX, DC, SNES, NES and N64 games. The CD rack in between my TV holds my CDs (duh) and I wish I could find more shelves. They cost me 10 bucks and can hold like 50 or 100 per shelf or something like that. I don't remember off hand who makes them. I just wish I could find more of them.

Retriever II Nov 24, 2006 02:56 AM

I'll have to see about fetching the digital camera. My collection is split between me and my sister - we've each got a GCN and N64, and I have a SNES, and she has a NES. Obviously favoring a single company.

Nothing too fancy otherwise - 25" TV (or somewhere around that), no sound system to speak of, everything crammed into the shelf unit below the TV. Don't have many games though - my sister has all of those.

TheReverend Dec 21, 2006 09:33 AM

(Sorry about picture quality, only camera I have right now is on my MacBookPro :p)

First, my PC *new* cause I do alot of gaming on it (Oblivion,DoD Source, Company of Heroes, NFS MW)

Here's my system. The mobo and DDR memory are a temporary solution until a P965 mATX board comes out. The CPU runs very cool, less than 30C under load, and that's with stock cooling. Very happy with the case/core2duo combo.

Microfly Ultra
Core2Duo - e6400 Stock
ECS VIA P4M890T-M2
1GB DDR400
Sapphire X1950Pro 256MB
Creative Extigy
Maxtor 160GB SATA
Maxtor 250GB ATA-133
LiteOn Lightscribe DVD-DL/CDRW
XClio 500W Goodpower

Without further ado, here is my Core2Duo Microfly HTPC System.

http://img469.imageshack.us/img469/3773/photo239la2.jpg

It looks very "wirey" in the pics, but really there is a alot of breathing room in the case itself.

http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/4555/photo241zq2.jpg

And here is my Home Theater from the couch.

http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/7435/photo243er5.jpg

Here's a closer look at the setup. Left to right is, Logitech 500W Subwoofer, SNES, N64, Gamecube, A/V Switcher, Atari 2600, Playstation, HTPC, and Nintendo Wii. The display is a Westinghouse 32w2, 32" LCD HDTV @1366x768.

Here's a different angle.

http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/5296/photo247zp1.jpg

Here's a fairly upclose look at the display playing a H264 rip of Princess Bride.

http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/3388/photo248xe7.jpg

Here are the controllers/remotes. I have a wired keyboard, but the thing is really an amazing keyboard. Scroll wheel in the spacebar, USB plug upper right, and great programmable hot keys along the top. The mouse is a Logitech MX700, works with quite a range actually. ATI Remote Wonder II for controlling mouse as well as Media Player Classic/Winamp. Remote for television and sound system there too. Oh and the Wiimote/Nunchuk for, well, Wii'ing.

Nice! Wireless mouse/keyboard combo... and I assume the PC is wired right into the TV? I'd love to have a setup like that. :D

Thanks!

It is a great setup especially for how much it has cost me. HDTV $899 a year ago. PC newly built ~$400 + old parts from other PC. Game systems all bought new and over the years never sold any of them or the games. Oh, and buy games used... So much cheaper. Entertainment center around $50.

Gaming in widescreen heaven = priceless.

Malmer Jan 24, 2007 01:49 PM

My Wii has been doing a fair bit of traveling, but now I've finally got it setup for good, so it's time for an update.

http://img160.imageshack.us/img160/9...ntendo1da7.jpg
NES, SNES, N64, NGC, Wii, GB, GBP, GBP Light, GBC, VB, GBA, GBA SP, GBA Micro, NDS and NDS Lite.
I guess the console part of my collection is now complete then.

Spoiler:
The iQue Player is a tainted bastard child. Do not want!

EDIT: Pic updated.

Elixir Jan 24, 2007 01:53 PM

That picture looks almost identical to the one you originally posted, except now it has a Wii. :tpg:

Malmer Jan 24, 2007 02:33 PM

And the Gba SP is closed for some reason... oh and I got Return of Samus since then! Yeah I guess you can say that me and my museum are pretty fucked up =3

I've been contemplating picking up GBL just for shits and giggles. (It'd basically complete my Nintendo Handhelds collection).

How much did yours set you back? They're pretty cheap these days but I've just never really bothered. (Love your display. Gives me a boner. Am jealous.)

Malmer Feb 16, 2007 10:42 AM

I got it for about $50 back in 2003, almost mint condition, including box and everything. I don't know if that was cheap or expensive, I just bought it because they were rarely seen in that condition.

Another thing was almost never seen: The Satellaview. But to my surprise they seem to spawn out of nowhere these days (or maybe the japs just found out that stupid collectors are paying good money for their useless old stuff).

Either way, I might pick one up sometime along with the 64DD. They will look so great together with the Cube on the Gameboy Player :3

::nerd::

EDIT: Might as well post my slightly updated PC setup as I'm posting anyway.

Elixir Feb 16, 2007 11:39 AM

All of those black dvd cases have burned (PS2?) games in them?

Amayirot Akago Feb 16, 2007 11:43 AM

PC, actually. You might've noticed a certain lack of PS2-ness overall (or any kind of console for that matter) :P
