Got caught up with Code Geass yesterday, and all I have to say is: Great Britain isn't part of the Britannia Empire? What?

I hope they explain the political landscape more in the future.

Apparently Napoleon invaded Britain and it was ruled by the French (again). So the Crown set itself up in the American colonies. Imagine Pax Americana with the divine providence of a king. This is what I've been told.

It doesn't make sense for a number of reasons. It's slightly plausible on the precondition that the American Revolution never happened, but then you also have to consider how the other states of the EU are alive and kicking with Napoleon's conquest of Britain. Did he just stop there? Could Prussia, Austria, and Russia have consistently beaten France?

It's clumsy speculative history, and I preferred when I thought it was a situation where the sun truly never set on the British Empire.

The Chinese Federation is also described as communist, but with their dress and customs it almost seems like the empire never dissolved.

In conclusion, anime.

Spinzaku is the best thing to happen to Geass, it actually makes me like Suzaku (he was such a shithead in season 1).

It made me feel good all over, for all the right reasons.

This show is pretty damn good. Usually I lose interest in a series as it airs, or I watch it all at once. I've actually been keeping up with this.

Episode 6 was intense.

My speculation on next ep, also to fill my curiousity

Well. Two days later I've watched all that I could with this. It's been very enjoyable so far. When do new episodes hit anyway? Also, this gives me that "Deathnote" vibe of things. Probably why I like it so much.

It's aired on Sunday night (I'm GMT+7, mind you), fansub usually released on monday or around that.

With protagonist like LeLouch, we don't need antagonist because he does both.

Awesome. Mondays shall be more entertaining now.

Code Geass is actually the fastest subbed show this season, GG and Eclipse both have their releases out Sunday afternoon (EST). Seven weeks in and it's still true.

Okay, so I'm an idiot... I never watched it before. And I accidentally started watching the 2nd Season. So I know pretty much the ending of the 1st, the plot twists, pretty much everything I think. Should I bother watching it?

And it looked SO amazing. (It's weird, I was wondering why they had so much backstory so far and why they gave everything away at the start).

GAWD. DAMNIT.

Concider it a flashback session for you then. Haha! Yeah it's still worth watching.

Yeah. Haha, that's what I'm trying to think of it as. And it's fucking awesome! Love this anime.

wow, that's pretty much unfortunate for you, but you still must watch season 1! Try to deny in your mind that you have watched the 2nd season :p
