Gaiden is pretty short so I dont' think that they'll make it into a movie. You can really fit all of it into one or two episodes.

Wow, 2 years of fillers, it's kinda hard to believe it was really that long ago. Can't wait till friday for DB's release. In the last filler they wrote, "3 more weeks of fillers." I wonder if the non-manga readers went crazy when they saw that. :p

A fair OVA would do it just fine as jouhou said.

In other related news, AnimeOne's back from the dead and will also work on Naruto. Not like it matters as much since Dattebayo have about the same perfect quality AonE had back when they were with ANBU.

Oy now.. that was in jest. :eagletear: I just suggested it to be a filler to be funny, but I really doubt it would be. "Hey we're older now! 85 more fillers..."

Didn't notice it'll be an hour long. That's a good sign for getting back with the story I think.

My cousin's been watching all the filler stuff, and I've been relying on him to let me know when it's good to start watching again. If the filler is coming to an end (finally!) maybe I'll start watching episodes as they come out. :P Filler is how I lost interest in Kenshin, so I'm hoping I'll be able to get back into it.

I forgot to mention that the last frame of the episode has Kakashi holding a couple of bells…

Just checked out the OP and ED of Naruto Shippudan. Bout time we get something from Dj Mitsu >=]. Definately a killer. The ending theme isn't so bad either. I'll upload right away.

You can almost see Chiyo and Sasori at the 47 second mark. The rest is just sweet with akatsuki at the end.

Okay, so I'm into Naruto again. This new series completely revived my interest in the anime, as they've hooked me with some awesome animation (the opening with Sasuke was, for all it's simplicity, just as good as the Rock Lee/Gaara fight). The music is a vast improvement over the stuff from the original series, eliminating that somewhat of an embarassing feeling I had watching a series with traditional Japanese flutes and manly men going "HUNGH. SAIYA...GO" and shit like that. You know what I'm talking about.

I'm definitely looking forward to the Akatsuki fights to come. Sasori's fight has been a favorite of mine in the manga, so I'm hoping it translates well.

I'm a little skeptical on this new part actually. I loved the first 9 seasons, yes, all of the fillers, every single one of them. They're amusing, quirky, random 30 minute episodes that gave me a good laugh. Still watching through fillers though. I'm hoping the new series doesn't change TOO much besides the looks. A little more maturity is okay, but I want the silly parts to stay too.

Also, chato, is that the Pokemon episode that was seizure inducing? The one that was permanently banned from being aired in your avatar? Sorry, random question.

He shows up after the Sasori fight. Danzou sends him out then, right at the end of the match.

Good to see a thread revival, here. 2 years in the making I'd say. I tried to do the filler thing, then on a random ep I heard "The Stupid Brothers," and proceeded to delete.

I didn't bother with the fillers ,period. Except for that Laughed Shino episode ;p. DB and SD-Project released their versions. SD looks a tad bit better than DB so get that one.SD said something about a version 2 so we'll see how that one is.

Don't know who Yaiba is but Takanashi is a composer who worked on ShinHokuto no Ken OVA and Jigoku Shoujo. Definately a good thing.

DB's have that fuzziness under Sasuke's eyebrow while SD's looks more cleaner. So lets stick with SD til AonE comes back.

I didn't see Toshio Masuda listed in the opening credits.

I've never watched Naruto but know a fair bit of the story, so I went and watched Shippuden. That's movie quality in the first 8 minutes. I'm not sure if they can maintain that kind of animation when they actually reach that part since the rest of the episode was normal TV quality.

Great direction for the opening animation, too. I approve.

Naaw for real??? Naruto has been going on for like two years now??? Damn....

I remembered back in high school i was all like yay! Naruto fillers are ending this january..... lol....

Excelent way to start the anime really

Everyone's voice is lower. That was pretty much understood when they did the whole "unveiling letters" segments.

Actually, I thought it was a horrible way to start the new season. It really ruins the flow of the story even if it's just to get everyone hyped about the new season.
Anyway, the music is very different from season 1. It actually sounds pretty good but I hope they don't get rid of some old tunes form season 1.

Well I just finished watching the 1st and second subbed ep of shippuden.

IMO, after looking at these eps, I can honestly say this is the main reason why there are so many heated naruto debates over the internet that deal with the manga storyline vs. anime storyline.

These eps kinda remind me of the home conversion of the original double dragon on the NES: Unneccessary stuff that doesn't need to be there, but it's there anyways just to make the game longer.

Just stick to the original damn game!

Don't get me wrong, for the most part, the eps did stick to the original storyline. But stuff such as



was not neccessary. THings such as this only drew out the episode and just made us have to wait even longer for the good stuff.

Also,



is just enough to make the most diehard fan go into a rage.

Since this is the case, then why the animators just didn't release kakashi gaiden this week instead is beyond me. Personally, I would've rather seen the fourth hokage kicking ass 10 mintues at a time as opposed to some of the lameness that I seen today.

The best things I would say, so far, about the anime are:



-The opening intro
-The ending intro.

Supposedly you can get the episode here, but I'm not sure if it's subbed or not.

I was never into this show, as I only watched a few episodes of the Chunnin Exams a while ago on Youtube. Still, I decided to watch these two episodes to see what all the hooplah was about. I guess it's nice to celebrate any anime coming out of fillers, especially a two-year bout with them. The animation in the beginning of the episode was movie-quality, but the remaining animation in the episodes was pretty good, too. I'd say the whole thing executed pretty well all in all. The only fault I can say is that all the characters that were supposed to grow up a bit all still sound the same, but that might just be me.

They'll probably use the Kakashi Gaiden arc some time before or after Tobi is introduced. A sort of break before the next big arc as well as the introduction to Sai. The Gaiden could be used to wedge another gap between the manga and the anime, so as to prevent any more unnecessary fillers again.

But I still have one little question, for how many weeks have the fillers ended ?

I'm going to watch the episodes I haven't watched so far, but I'd like to know how many good episodes I'll see before having to wait another week.

I actually didn’t mind that they decided to flesh things out a bit. It might have been unnecessary, but as they managed to only cover a single manga chapter in a double episode, it probably means less chance of the episodes catching up to the manga and hence less filler episodes. Instead we get filler segments in the anime proper, which is a lot more tolerable (and goes largely unnoticed unless you’re following the manga). Come to think of it, the events of the Gaara arc are set in motions, so it’s more like 2 chapters, but out of order.

Still, it’s a good start even though some of the order of happenings seemed a little mixed up.
