Edit: btw, Divest, why did you rate this down? |

The other albums (though they're one of my favorite bands) just don't hold up to their latest. Can't even hold a candle to it. |
Yeah, I don't remember liking Between the Buried and Me, but I gave Colors a shot and was pleasantly surprised.
I never got into Ayreon either, but if the first track is any indication, this may be the album that gets me. Oh yeah, Nanaman, I'm actually enjoying the J-Pop. XD Actually, I've enjoyed all your contributions so far, keep it up. |
Since I can't prop a post twice, I'll just do this instead. I think anyone who's into laid back folk music should go listen to the Moyshe McStiff & The Tartan Lancers Of The Sacred Heart album knkwzrd posted.
It's absolutely refreshing to listen to and it's got a cool medieval type groove going to it which is very nice. The instrumentation is also a bit out of the ordinary which helps to make it appealing. Truly worth a listen. Props once more to knk!!! |
When I downloaded that album, all I saw was C.O.B. and I assumed it was a Children of Bodom album. XD I'll admit, I don't think I gave it a chance once I realized I was mistaken.

On track: I've never heard of The Field, and Techno for me was 8th grade (8 years ago). But I do LOVE the word "minimalist", so allowed the download to take place. It's beautiful. Mellow, even. Soothing, though it definitely packs a beat. First impressions usually take off in different directions over time, but I sense a timeless quality to the album; its hard for me even to pinpoint favs since the album works so well collectively. Thanks Capo. |
Aryeon is amazing. One of the better things I've heard in a long, long while.

Near future: expect some Ben Folds related stuff and, because I've recently rediscovered them, some FRÜVOUS cuz they're awesome.

Could someone explain to me the rules of this here thread?
|
Go here, the rules for contributing are all in the first post. We use the thread we're in now to talk about the albums posted in the other thread.
|
Thanks to Moon for hosting!
I uploaded: 1) Squarepusher-Feed Me Weird Things 2) Ravel - performed by Martin and St. Fields - Le Tombeau de Couperin, String Quartet, Vas Nobles et Sentimentales and Introduction and Allegro for Harp and Orchestra. 3) Toru Takemitsu - Between Tides 4) Venetian Snares - Chocolate Wheelchair Album |
Finally uploaded some more music again, just in time for Christmas :) I added more Japanese music this time, it's two albums from Suga Shikao and Acidman. Enjoy!
|
That's like the third time somebody's posted that Moloko album in the MEC threads. I think ava lilly was the first back before the crash and I'm almost positive someone else posted it in the last thread. Still a great album though so I hope somebody gets it now that's it's been posted again.
Also, I heard that Gallows album and I gotta tell you guys: It's not a bad album at all. They remind me a lot of Black Flag except that Rollins didn't scream so much back in his heyday. I bring this up now because just 2 days ago I noticed that they have a song in GHIII. |
I was wondering where the hell I got it from. I know it wasn't the last thread because I don't have it in my archive, so it must've been the pre-crash thread... Well, whoever the hell originally posted it, it is indeed good shit.

OMG, I love Mike Birbiglia.

By the way, if someone has more of CDs with Mike Birbiglia I wouldn't mind you sharing them too :D
|
So, as my first contribution to this thread/project I have added 2 Drum & Bass albums. Well, I say 2, really only one is an album.
First up is the debut album from Commix, Call To Mind. Second up is an hour long mix by myself, recorded on NYE, and is a pretty good intro for anyone into the world of D&B. Enjoy. :D |
Did sendspace break or something? Six posts in a row with megaupload links...not cool. =p
|
Everyone should use Mediafire instead.
|
Or ask Moon if it's OK to just upload to him.
|
Massive props to Iwata for the Solefald albums... Particularly because I've known for a while that one of them features Garm. <3 Do you have Icelandic part I?
|
I do and will upload it tonight. Also Garm is only on one track on Icelandic Part II and the track is " Loki Trickster god " which is an awesome song, but so is the entire album.
|
So, about Anal Cunt . . . does anyone have the 5643 Song EP?
Reading about it, it sounds FANTASTIC. |
