Love the trailer, (huge mgs freak btw:p)., but i was thinking about something. At the end there's ANOTHER Snake clone (true or not..too soon yeah) BUT if it's true..we all know how it's gonna end:)

Boss had her snake= (Naked Snake) Big Boss. Big Boss only "knew" at the end

Big Boss had solid snake= Same,Solid Snake didn't knew the truth,(patriots etc etc)

Maybe the same thing will happen with Old Snake,...who knows, but the only thing i WANT is a complete ending. If there is to be a MGS 5 (without hideo as he said 100%) there can't be any snake,no way....

Hideo already said that Snake wasn't going to die at the end of MGS4 and that he wasn't going to be the main character of MGS5. Other then that, no one really know what's in store for the seies' characters.

Gamespot did a much more indepth article on the Kojima stage presentation.

Some interesting to tidbits, to me anyway, are:

• Apparently HGW watched the E3 trailer 50 times, and came to Kojima saying that he wanted in.
• The music for the TGS 2006 trailer, by HGW, is titled "Old Snake."
• The game will feature a group of people based off real-life people. This was demonstrated with Yumi Kikuchi who was the MC for the stage.
• Logan will replace Kyle Cooper in creating the opening sequence.
• Apparently the opening sequence will highly unusual and futuristic (toppling MGS3's intro/opening). [Probably something to do with the PS3's motion sensitive aspect]
• Also, Medicom's RAH MGS4 "Old" Snake figure was directly under Yoji Shinkawa's supervision. So we can definitely expect quality. I hope they consider doing a Rex or a Ray, that's be so cool.

As for people who say that the detail of the graphics has dropped. I am not surprised if it happened to MGS4. When the very first trailer for MGS2 came out, the detail and resolution was much much better than what ended up being in the game.

The source was from PSM but I'll see if I can't find another interview where he mentions that. Also the characters for the game have already been released, so I'll try to find that list for you too.

I think it's because Snake is no longer with the goverment while Mei Ling is. Therefore they no longer have any contact with one another.

I don't. Never thought he was much of an interesting character to begin with.
He had his moments... But still...

Unless he's an agent for the patriots or something, I can't really see his signifigance to the story. But I have faith in Hideo Kojima and I'm sure that he wouldn't bring Vamp back unless he had a reason.

Opposite of that. It was mentioned that Vamp is trying to take down the Patroits, since he was aware they were using him and Dead Cell. They also mentioned that Vamp may actually be an ally to Snake, at least to take down their mutual foe.

Another point of interest is that there would be a clash between Otacon and Vamp, since Vamp was responsible for killing his sister Emma. I'm looking forward to seeing that.

I guess it is time to lend my two cense this thread. I"m also a huge Metal Gear nut, it is in rival of my Precious Xenogears.

Slayer, I recall Ocelot in mgs2 saying that only Fatman was a agent to the patriots, and he went awol. My hunch is that Vamp has the same goal as snake to rid the world of the patriots, they set up his unit, put Dead Cells leader in prison, and Ocelot killed his lover. He is proably pretty pissed off and we might see him join up with Snake? That is just my theory.

Do any of you guys have any good guesses on the other two major enviroments? I'm pysced to know that Naomi and Meryl are back in play.

I'll be interested to see the reason that they give as to where Meryl was during the whole MGS2 dilema.

Well she was apart of Philanthropy along with Mei Ling so she could of been off somewhere else on the globe helping to stop or gather intel about other Metal Gears during those events. Also with Snake's wanted and "terrorist" status during the 2 year gap in MGS2 it's also feasible that during that time Philanthropy was disbanded and it's member went underground which is why only Snake and Otacon are together during the Big Shell.

See I thought that Raiden's new gimmick was similiar to Olga with his abilities and strength enhanced by the new suit but it looks like he's more of a cyborg, more so than Gray Fox was...:eye:

Ha, and yea his teeth is creepy plus the nasty gray gums, why couldn't they have kept his mouth shut... Hopefully he comes with more accessories than just the one blade.

I have a feeling Robo Raiden is just another Kojima joke. Within 5 minutes of his awesome introduction, he goes berserk and then explodes. :/

I'm not sure whether that's teeth of just early/bad sculpting.
