I lied! But, it was for a good cause. For the last 4 months, the only Wii accessories I have seen at Wal-mart are those plastic colored "gel" grips that go over your Wii-mote so it doesn't fly out of your hand and causes major LOLage... Well, today at Wal-Mart I ran across 3 nunchuck controllers. Those things have been harder to come by than a 24-hour news story that isn't about Anna Nichole Smith, so I went ahead and snagged it. Now I could actually play 2-player Wii sports boxing. (If I had any friends that is... :eagletear: )

Half the time, I never saw the seriousness behind finding Nunchucks... Everywhere I look, Target, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Toys R Us, Gamestop, EB... I never fail to find one. Are they really that rare?
|
Well, you can get them off Ebay, but they are always more expensive there. I have seen a few auctions for the $19.99 MSRP, but then remember you have to also pay shipping. But, most auctions I have seen have the 'chuck going for over MSRP + shipping. So, hard to find might not be accurate, but it is indeed hard to find in my area in stores. They are non-existant here. In fact, I saw Nintendo brand component cables in the local Gamestop the other day but I haven't seen a 'chuck or Wii-mote for months...

I grabbed Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja.
Very frustrating. For Roguelike lovers only. Seriously. 7 Dungeons (story wise) that get progressively longer and harder as time goes on (last dungeon is 40 floors which is double that of the sixth loool). If you die you lose everything except your level. The 8th dungeon (post-game only) is a 100 Floor challenge in which you start at LV 1 and with no items. Very long and tedious. Also grabbed Bleach DS 2nd: Kokui Hirameku Requiem. The removal of challenge mode makes me :( , but I guess the change in battle system and various other things counter it (but challenge mode was still the best). Also got a Kon DS Case that was supposed to come with pre-ordering >_____> Snagged Bokura no Taiyou: Django & Sabata (known as Lunar Knights in USA). Pretty decent game, the Wi-Fi stuff in the Japanese version is pretty awesome, Konami sends out items pretty much everyday, and getting stat boosts and items from friends is nice. To go with BnT, I also have Ryuusei no Rockman. The change in battle system really threw me off at first, but after a few hours of messing around it is really pretty awesome. Link up with Bokura no Taiyou and other Ryuusei players via Wi-Fi makes for a really strong Rockman, and hacked cards >_> |

The problem is Izuna wanted to be all kawaii ninja-chan about it. It's still a decent Roguelike, just not up to par. |
No, it really isn't. It's got a horrible battle system, and for games like that, it's a huge no-no. It's just terrible all around.

=3 Further confirming that pawn shops deserve Disneyland's slogan more. The Master System games were a buck each, pretty much the only reason I got them. Because none of them are any good really! That's not a quality tennis racquet. :( The PSone games were the best part, they were two bucks each. This means they're double the power of Master System, so PSone was a 16-bit console. I love whoever decided to price these, usually their PSone games are hilariously expensive. Puzznic is loaded with Engrish and awful music. I DIDN'T KNOW THE ORIGINAL BOMBERMAN WAS ON PLAYSTATION! http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y13...x/games022.jpg You can play it with updated graphics (sort of) http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y13...x/games021.jpg Or the original fun time graphics! =D The same joint I picked Kororinpa up at (which was the ONLY store that had it in stock anyway, must be love) were selling Neo Geo Battle Coliseum and SNK vs Capcom Chaos for ten bucks a pop, so yeeeeeah! Chaos is crap! Battle Coliseum's not crap! Those are my professional IGN style reviews! |
I picked up MLB 2K7 for the 360 last night. Too bad the Lamestop in my town only had it for PSP {I like how the clerk was like "Man no one cares about PSP"}, so I had to drive an hour to a Gamestop that did have it.

Oops, thought I had posted this a couple days ago, but I guess not.
I used up some Best Buy gift cards I had sitting around from Christmas and bought three games that were all $20. -Super Mario Sunshine I was in a Mario 64 mood when I bought this. It has some of the same fun feel, but I can also feel that the tedium will set in fast because it's another one of those collect-a-thon games. That, and so far, every level is happy sunny beach themed, and I'd like some variety. -Wild Arms 4 I picked up Wild Arms 3 a month ago, and I've only played it for three hours so far. But even with just that being my experience with the series, I liked enough to go ahead and pick up another game in the series already. Plus, the game has awesome music. Yeah, I'm really just playing it for the music. -Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 2 Yessssssssss I love this game and all the games within it (except for Strider, why do you jump so awkwardly and why is your sprite so massive) |

! when I spot it. |
Don't bother with Coliseum unless it's really cheap and you have competition near you (as usual, 1P mode is extremely boring). I bought it on release date and so far, it had memory card loading problems twice and I was forced to delete it and start over. Not that it's hard to unlock stuff, you just have to finish some modes a couple of times. King of Fighters XI and MI2 will be released in late March, they should be better purchases.

Bought three PS2 games yesterday, which is the most I've bought at once in a long while. They were all just cheap games I bought using what was left of gift cards from Best Buy.
First off, I got Hunter: The Reckoning: Wayward for $10. My friend rented the first Hunter game years ago, and we had a blast playing it, so I figured I would get this game and give it a try. I'll probably play it with my sister, since we haven't played a co-op game like this since Baldur's Gate: dark Alliance. Next, I got Space Channel 5: Special Edition, also for $10. Never played either game in it before, but I heard the Dreamcast versions was pretty cool, so hopefully these will be too. And finally, I bought TimeSplitters: Future Perfect, again for $10. I loved TimeSplitters 2 (never played the first one, though), so this was a no-brainer. This game has been on my list for a while, I've just never actually gone out and got it until now. Another awesome co-op game to play with the sis, too. So barring anymore cheap games, this will probably be it on the PS2 front for a while. Not any new games coming out that I want, and everything else I can just wait until they become cheaper since I won't have the time to play them anytime soon anyway ('sup *FFXII in 2008*). |
Bought two more games yesterday for 20$ at EB. Katamari Damacy and Jak & Daxter: Precursor. Unforuntately, can't try them out yet due to renovations being done at home. But I've heard good things about both and truthfully, I know I'll love Katamari just for the music.
So yeah . . . this adds another two games to my pile . . . I gotta stop buying. |
Confirming once again why I'm not buying a PSP, I just bought Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories for the PS2 today. Seriously, there's hardly any games I want for the PSP, and the few that I do want just get ported to the PS2. If they port Daxter, Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters, and Me and My Katamari, I wouldn't have a single reason to get one.
As for the game, I don't know how soon I'll get to playing it, since I'm still playing Liberty City Stories at the moment. Even once I finish that though, I'm not sure how soon I'll get to playing this, since I've been continuously playing a GTA game since the original Vice City came out. Don't want to burn out on the series, so I might take a little break first. |

As shameful as it is to admit (being one of the Ace Combat Era pilots), I've never played a single game in the series. I keep meaning to get one so I can try it out, but so far I haven't done it yet. I'm sure once I do this game will get added to the list, but I still can't see buying the system (at the current price, anyway) for just these few games. |

Yeah, play Ace Combat Advance first. That one's totally awesome!

But dude. Dude. Rockgamer, AC04 and ACZ are the pinnacle of the series. Be sure to check them out. (Especially 04, which I enjoyed more, but people will argue this.) |
Got that Wii Play, and played it on my Wii. We played Wii Play for a few hours, and playing in on the Wii was pretty fun. I even played with the Wii remote that came with Wii Play. It played with the Wii playfully.
There were quite a few awesome matches this evening. :tpg: |

http://img.clubic.com/photo/00318374.jpg Again, sorry for the misunderstanding. |
In regards to the PSP, I played some "Loco Roco Poco LOOL TPG" game where you were this blob in a demo booth - I was laughing my ass off. It was fun, even though I hadn't a clue what to do.
Spatula u fag tool its called LOCO ROCO. And you use the LR butahs to rotate and ROLL around, like Katamari, usk! http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w.../loco-roco.jpg And for the thread, there really isn't much else for the PSP I'd want, besides that new FFT game :3. |
Loco Roco is pretty awesome, but after the first world, it just repeats the same stages and it can get pretty dull. The music and visual design is marvelous and the jumping is still fun, but I found myself wishing it'd end a few stages before I finished it. After that I didn't feel like going back to get 100% in each level.

I bought FFXI for the PC (since my PS2 cant read discs, I cant get it online to set it up), Fenrir server represent.
I also went to a pawn shop to pay on something and I spot a Starcraft battlechest for $10, since my original discs are nowhere to be found I decided to get it, man what a treasure. |
