Everyone wants a Spiritomb, 'cause it's funny looking. It's too troublesome to get one the normal way. Okay I'll breed one for each of you.

Chaotic May 14, 2007 04:20 PM

I need one for team compensation. <.<

Maybe this might be the piece I've been looking for since that Ninjask didn't really work out for me T_T.

I really have to close up this gap in my team.

Actually, I wanted it for its Dark/Ghost type :p

Also, beat the 8th gym and now I'm going to be doing some levelling up for a bit because I scrapped by in the fight against
Volkner. Everyone is just under level 40 =\

Crash "Long-Winded Wrong Answer" Landon May 14, 2007 05:02 PM

What is the "normal" method of obtaining a Spiritomb? I put the Odd Keystone in its place a long time ago and nothing has since come of it.

Freelance May 14, 2007 05:05 PM

You need to talk to someone in the Underground Room 38 times or so, and then go to a room in the haunted mansion to get Spiritomb. You can talk to the same person Underground to 'cheat' if you wish. It sucks if you don't have anyone to connect with.

Chaotic May 14, 2007 05:12 PM

At least you're lucky to have a sibling to obtain a Spiritomb with. I have friends I could do it with, but they're too lazy to do it with me.

On top of that, I don't have an Odd Keystone.

Freelance May 14, 2007 05:21 PM

True, but even talking to my sibling 38 something odd times is annoying, because 'talking' consists of choosing from three inane questions such as "What is your favourite school subject" and picking from from 5 "answers" and then having to scroll through some stupid dialogue. Imagine doing that over 30 times and see where that gets you. :D I told my sister how to get Spiritomb and she balked at the 'talking' portion, so yes, we both don't want to do it, haha.

Chaotic May 14, 2007 06:28 PM

Anyone know a good website where I could find good move sets for this Generation?

Freelance May 14, 2007 09:05 PM

Ah no, sorry. Haven't seen one for D/P yet.

Oh, and I got two Spiritomb eggs in my party. Do you guys want me to hatch them and then trade so you can get the boosted exp, or would you rather just take the eggs as is? I presume you'd want to breed them and get whatever Nature you want. Let me know.

Final Fantasy Phoneteen May 14, 2007 11:13 PM

Doesn't matter to me. I'll take an egg or hatched one whenever you're on at the same time as me. Have you thought about what you'd like? I can offer you a Larvitar or any starter other than Totodile, Chikorita and Treecko. I should have other things, though.

I heard it kicks ass if you train it right. I don't know of any movesets for it though, but it's apparently pretty good.

It's good because it's Ghost/Dark, which has no type-weakness. The only other pokemon with this typing, Sableye, has shit defenses and as such couldn't be effective at tanking. Spiritomb, on the other hand, is pretty good at it.

So how many people are playing this wi-fi at this point? I'm planning on getting Diamond, as my little brother has Pearl.
Plus i'm always a fan of RPGs. =)

Do you mean Recommended moves sets, or just what pokemon learns what moves?

If its the former, I'm not sure. For the latter, you can check Serebii.net.

I found someone with Diamond @ class, but she barely started the game, so even If I were to try and get the Spirit tomb right now, I couldn't -_-

Elixir May 15, 2007 01:33 AM

I think he's wanting recommended movesets. The game's too new for a properly detailed list of pro movesets but bulbapedia has a lot of information on the new pokemon, so I guess you could just use that and make your own. It even lists STAB.

Oh yeah I KNEW I was forgetting something there. Maybe I'll add one to my team sometime in the future. It's cute. <3

No weaknesses? Shit ._.
Now I want one... maybe.
Well I do see a couple down sides to it and that would be its HP and Speed stats. I doubt it could survive a Outrage or Earthquake attack. So I'm wondering, what is the potential in this pokemon? Aside from weaknesses keep in mind I'm pretty clueless on dark and ghost types.

I mess with wifi battles now and then. But I haven't found any challengers lately, at least not this week. I guess everyone is still quietly building their super team. Probably for the upcoming gff wifi tournament, if there is one.

Just a question that has nothing to with the actual game: if I buy the Japanese version of Diamond/Pearl, will I be able to connect/trade with other versions, like the US or PAL one, or is there a difference between the releases?

Elixir May 15, 2007 03:22 AM

You can transfer over from any region, but I don't think you can for Pal Park.

Peter May 15, 2007 03:23 AM

And what exactly is Pal Park?

Elixir May 15, 2007 03:44 AM

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pok%C3%...to_other_games

It's basically a place where you can obtain your Emerald/other version Pokemon, providing you have other Pokemon and whatever version in the GBA slot. Not worth it~~

You can transfer fine between the US and Jap versions (I assume for PAL as well, but I do not know for certain), however both DSes must be in the same language setting, which is why you can only trade with japs normally through the GTS.

And speaking of that, its starting to become a crapshoot. Everyone on there seems to want level 100s for stuff that's only uncommon =\

Final Fantasy Phoneteen May 15, 2007 01:38 PM

Oh man, I forgot to mention how much of a killing I made in trades. Got a Torchic, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Larvitar, and Beldam from trading the starters I bred. But best of all, I got two Manaphy eggs (actual Manaphys, not Phiones) from trading a Mothim and a Golbat. I've seen people trade away legendary birds for Manaphys, so I felt good.

I'll hatch it myself.

Would you like a Master Ball or a Lucky Egg?

Freelance May 15, 2007 04:02 PM

Lucky Egg! Lucky Egg! ^_^

As for what I want in return, gimmie an Eevee ^_^. There's really nothing else I want right now.

SuperDK May 15, 2007 04:32 PM

Damn, I managed to get myself 4 Lucky Eggs just now. Got me a spree of 8 Chanseys, with Venonat (Compound Eyes ability) in the lead. Used Linoone to steal offa them.

Still, who are these people that trade legendaries for uncommons and stuff? Like it sounds so unrealistic...especially with trades that Generic Badass is getting.
