I have a problem: Most of the sendspace albums I'm interested in aren't there anymore. Help.

Moon Oct 8, 2007 05:46 PM

Name the ones you want and links will magically appear!

Just no sharing the link to the folder this time with other sites <__<.

I'm getting a 404 on that link. But I also had another idea: what if accessing that link was tied to your GFF account? That way, only registered members could access it. It would help keep other people from going download crazy (who weren't on the site, at least).

Also, I've uploaded miaou albums before, but I'm pretty sure you have others. If you do, can you upload them? I'd like to hear them.

Ballpark Frank Oct 10, 2007 02:52 PM

Ah, could I get the Portugal. The Man. uploaded again? I'm a quiet non-contributer to this whole thing, I know, so if it's any trouble don't worry about it.

Hey guys, just a reminder that discussion and requests go in this thread, not the actual thread in My Stuff. Posts have been moved to their rightful resting place and balance has been restored. Peace, love and aural grease~

I turned off indexing again because I was reported to the Man .___. How would I tie the link to my GFF account, because that would solve the Man problem?

But here are the Miaou albums I have:
Happiness
Make These Things Right
Painted EP

I'd just like to mention how wonderful A Fine Frenzy are, thanks for uploading it! I personally love the songs "Almost Lover" and "Ashes and Wine". What an enchanting voice she has, it's one of those albums that i've come across at the right time - seems to fit my new surroundings perfectly.

knkwzrd Oct 24, 2007 03:37 PM

I really do think that everyone should listen to the album that Remy_Fortin6 just uploaded, as it is an absolute classic and fully deserves the exposure, but to be totally honest the rip he uploaded is a really poor quality .wma thing that doesn't do justice to the recordings. I'll have a better quality .mp3 rip of the same album up sometime this evening.

Matt Oct 26, 2007 01:41 PM

I'm totally digging that Minus The Bear album. Fucking gold. Seriously, those guys are great.

Will Oct 31, 2007 01:48 AM

Wow, I can't believe I almost downloaded Age of Winters. It didn't occur to me what it was until I saw that you recommended the track "Freya", and I realized that I had already downloaded the album after playing Guitar Hero. Is it just me or is the game's cover of that song actually better than the real thing? XD

I'm so backed up with really taking the time to listen to some of the more recent additions...ugh.

Paco Nov 6, 2007 10:58 PM

I just noticed that Age of Winters upload right now. Superb album. If anyone hasn't gotten it yet, I recommend that you do. It was uploaded once before by knkwzrd, I believe. Great album still.

Tawnee Van Pelt Nov 7, 2007 01:38 AM

Hey Moon, is your FTP still available for the club? I think I could use it to directly upload my albums instead of sendspace, the lack of resuming my uploads always kill my patience, thanks.

wvlfpvp Nov 7, 2007 10:15 AM

Moon, fantastic upload. Fucking fantastic upload. Disc 1, Track 10; Disc 2, Tracks 2, 4, 5, 13, 14, 16; Disc 3, Tracks 8, 12, 14; Disc 4 is UTTER WIN UTTERLY, and 5 just starts out wonderfully. Hell yes. Just needs more baritone arias and more German. There's a lot of German missing.

Any way we could get you to list who's singing what?

Sure. I deactivated it for a while due to lack of use, but if you want to use it, then here's the info:
Addy: 67.55.54.146
U: mec
P: MECCEM
Port: 21

Access what you upload with a link like the following
http://67.55.54.146/MEC/Circle Jerks - Wonderful.rar

P.S I was reported to the Man once already, so please keep what you upload within Gamingforce or another private forum. Thanks~

wvlfpvp:
I agree that CD Four is the best of the series, though CD One has its high points (like track 5 and 14). But yeah, there's too much Italian / Spanish operas on it. Though there can never be too much opera of any sort.

The singer is given as the first part of the file name, and I took exquisite care to ensure the ID3 tags were relevant.

wvlfpvp Nov 7, 2007 06:24 PM

There's some zarzuela on there? Huh. Musta missed that.

nanaman Nov 8, 2007 07:14 PM

Could someone please re-upload both of the Jukka Eskola albums? The links are dead, so I'd appreciate it a lot!

EDIT: Also, the Bonobo CD has a dead link. So if I can get that one too, thanks.

Moon Nov 9, 2007 08:32 AM

Bonobo - Days to Come
Jukka Eskola - Self-titled
Jukka Eskola Quintet - Hub Up.zip

nanaman Nov 9, 2007 08:16 PM

Thanks a lot! Haven't gotten them all down yet, but I've listened to the first CD of Bonodo and what I've heard so far is very good! Greatest stuff I've heard in a long time.

I hope this ain't bothering you, but after finding the old thread (what a gold mine) there are some more CDs I found that I'd like to download now :P So if any of these could be re-uploaded, many thanks to you!

The CDs this time are

Acid Bath - When The Kite String Pops
Air - Moon Safari
Algy Krebbs Quartet - Parrots on Fire
Alio Die - Password for Entheogenic Experience
Andrew Bird & The Mysterious Production of Eggs
Apartment 26 - Music For The Massive
Argyle Park - Misguided

Well, this'll have to do for now I guess, I can't download too much I guess since I need to listen it through too. Heck, I didn't expect to find this much great music on this site when I first got here (only thinking this was a forum for gaming stuffs only). And so far I've just done a quick check on the bands starting with the letter A. I'm a real big music collector so this was a great discovery. This forum rocks :D

Moon Nov 9, 2007 11:33 PM

Alio Die - Password For Entheogenic Experience
Andrew Bird & the Mysterious Production of Eggs
Apartment 26 - Music for the Massive
Argyle Park - Misguided

I'll get to reuploading the rest tomorrow. Thanks to a particularly kinky wizard and bowl of nachos, I have a backup of the old MEC thread. So ask away!

nanaman Nov 10, 2007 07:45 AM

Once again thanks! I really feel like contributing a bit myself now cause I have lots of great music to share. So how do I upload stuff to this FTP? I dunno how to do it :P

Moon Nov 10, 2007 09:53 AM

Acid Bath - When The Kite Strings Pop
Air - Moon Safari
Algy Krebbs Quartet - Parrots On Fire (and other signs of hope)

As for uploading things to Moonspace, you're going to need an FTP browser. This should do nicely. Then just plug in the info I gave in my Nov 7 post. Let me know if any questions arise while doing this.

nanaman Nov 10, 2007 11:26 AM

Posted 2 albums now, and it seems to work! It's some really great stuff, you guys should check it out!

wvlfpvp Nov 11, 2007 01:40 PM

Within the next few days, expect some wonderfulness in the form of SOMETHING THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN POSTED LONG AGO.

wvlfpvp Nov 12, 2007 07:32 PM

Moonman, I'm uploading stuff to your FTP, cuz, y'know . . . makes it easier on you, what with the archives and stuff. S'OK?

Additional Spam:
So I uploaded some great stuff. Shatner! Also Little Kids!

Oh, and Dark Nation, did you post that in niki's thread? You need to post your latest album in niki's obscure VGM thread.
