How much art is in that limited edition book?

Really? Doesn't seem like it to me, looks exactly the same as the Japanese version. Like "promise" and "yakusoku," etc. But like I said, the lipsyncing is really well done, that it's kinda hard to notice.

As for the guide, I guess there's a decent amount of artwork (no actual illustrations). There's no actual seperate artbook in this LE guide. The brown book is, apparently, "Jiminy's Journal." Meh, I still think it's worth it, all nice and pretty.

You'll need High Jump Level 3 and the Aerial Dodge (where you can jump slightly higher) at lv 3 to hit him.

I just tried spamming reflect though, holy hell so THATS what reflect does X.X

how to get Jump Level 3 and the Aerial Dodge?

Sora can equip them once the Forms level up to level 3.

At Form level 3, they will be at level 1.
At Form level 5, they will be at level 2.
At Form level 7, they will be at level 3.

They only level up to level 3 in Sora's abilities but in actual Drive Form, they can get to MAX level.

They definitely 100% re-synched the lip flaps in the full-facial character models to match the English dialogue. I watched every single lip flap carefully.

Ryunam Apr 14, 2006 11:36 AM

I've just acquired a copy of the american edition. I'm waging through the extensive Roxas prodrome. What to say, the game looks as dynamic and vibrant as in the Japanese version.

Twilight Town still has that playful, yet slightly melanchonic, atmosphere that pervades it. It's a moving scenery, in its own way.

My only gripe so far is Roxas' voice. Jesse McCartney's voice doesn't adhere to him very well, but I guess I'd better tolerate that subtle arrogance that he conceals in his tone. Meh, might just be my twisted mind, after all.

Megaman X Apr 14, 2006 12:06 PM

I started the game two weeks from saturday and played maybe 50 hours worth. Finding free time was annoying. Beat the game on Proud mode.

Spoiler:
I found Proud mode to be disappointing. It was nice though that I didn't have to complete the journal to see the secret ending about the keyblade war. I only got the journal 98% completed.

I haven't got the perfect game yet. Whenever I can get the time I'm gonna try to beat Sephiroth, max out the forms, and synthesize everything.

Sacred X Apr 14, 2006 04:03 PM

Hades Paradox Cup Match #49 > Sephiroth by far. I have yet to beat either of them. I'm using the Magnega-Thunder Combo in the Pride Lands Peak, I got to level 50 - 90 in 2 hours. I hope to hit 99 in 15min-30min. I'm going to try to get as far as I can in the Hades Cup, then try Seph out.

I loved the game, I beat it in 2 days (or 2.5 days), and it took me.... 30 hours I think? I Beat it at like level 51 though, so yeah.

If you have questions about the leveling up thingy, thus getting a little over 2k exp per lightning, quote me and i'll write an essay on it, assuming I ever visit GFF within the next couple of days. (Thanks MapleStory)

espressivo Apr 15, 2006 05:35 PM

I just got the game and just finished Hollow Bastion. Are the worlds really as simple as twilight town and hollow bastion or do they get more complicated (like in KH1). So far every treasure chest I've seen was easy to access and the worlds dont require much thought to get through. I'm kinda disappointed by how they dumbed down the gameplay to make it easier for little kids to play.

rpgcrazied Apr 15, 2006 05:45 PM

guess they had to, to keep the E10 rating :P

Freelance Apr 15, 2006 05:46 PM

They're all like that, espressivo, but I'm finding the game to be pretty darn tough now. I'm currently at Hollow Bastion's second visit and I've already encountered a string of very tough mandatory battles and boss battles. The boss in Hollow Bastion is now giving me major headaches : ( I've spent all my time trying to beat him today, and I never won. Whoever said this game is EASY must be uber experts :(

P.S. I'm finding Atlantica to be very fun now XD I take back everything I said about it. It's awesome hearing those TLM songs again, although whoever sings for Ariel in Under The Sea is horrible. Only the Finny Fun song is actrocious. Did anyone else find it hilarious when you see Sora's torso up close in Under the Sea?

It's game content, not level of difficulty, that determines a game's rating.

If you're referring to Xaldin, don't worry, he gave lots of gamers who think even Proud mode is not that tough (like me), a hard time. To me that boss fight was un balanced compared to the rest and he should have been one of the last bosses in the game.

In fact my battle with him was downright humiliating.
Spoiler:
I had to call on Mickey TWICE in a row, and he barely did anything cause Xaldin is a jerk who teleports and flies away ALOT

Nay. I'm talking about that guy with the water clones. He constantly attacks from afar, making it very hard just to get near enough to him to attack. Using the Trinity limit helped me a lot, but I end up dying when I'm on his 2nd to last HP bar. If there's any tips you can give me, then great.

Interrobang Apr 15, 2006 11:32 PM

(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(/\)(o)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(/\)(o)(x)(x)(x)
(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(/\)(o)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)(/\)(o)(x)(x)
(x)(x)

Slip in a couple of Cures and you've pretty much ogt the game down to a pat.

So im trying to do the rest of the side quests and whatnot now and...
Spoiler:

Any of you guys have tips for the hercules tournaments? especially the titan one, where the jiminy requirement is 5000 points? I'm trying to figure out how to trigger double scores, or how exactly the combo's work... bah. Has anyone been able to do it?

Not much tips from me, I thought he was a pushover. I just avoid the waters and run to him and beat him up. And reaction command when I can.

Inhert Apr 16, 2006 02:59 AM

god I just past 3 hours on KH to lv everything to max....well except my summon, this will be my last step I think >.> and I don't know why I heard that the valor form is the easiest to lv, god on 3h of leveling all form plus reaching lv 99 I think I spend half the time just to lv valor form (even with the weakess keyblade) master and wisdom where really easy and very fast to lv, final was ok, I just don't like the fact that the drive bar seams to drop faster than the other form >.<

I think I'll go try Sephiroth now XD oh but before I miss 3 orichalcum+ for the ultimate keyblade >.> i'm not sure but I think two of them are in some chest I didn't open XD

I am unsure if that tournament can allow summons, but if it can, try summoning stitch and spamming his Ohala Kala or whatever attack. If you don't like that, try summoning Peter Pan and spamming his Neveralnd limit.

Inhert: To level summons fast and easy, go to Olympus. Go to wherever monster are, summong Peter Pan, start his Neverland limit, and IMMIDANTLY cancel his limit. Then restart his limit and end it again. Keep doing this until you are all out of drives. Go to a tournament and instantly quit that tournament. This will refill your drive gauge to max. This tactic should get you to max level in less than 20min, though the repeatitivity can get a bit dull.

a_ferret: Him, along with that guy at the Beast's castle, are two out of 3 of the most difficult official bosses that I have come across. The main trouble for me was that timer of his, but it seems as if you're just having trouble with HP. What I did was I spammed donalds limit, the fone that looks like fireworks. Spam it over and over, it does a lot of damage. Never let that guy touch the ground. If you can knock him in the air and use air combos, do that. But if you just want to be safe, spam that "fire works" technique, and then wait for your MP gauge to refill. Also make sure Donald and Goofy are stacked with any type of potion. Also make sure in your customize area that they only use potions when it's an emergency. If you honestly don't have trouble with his timer, then this tactic should do the trick for you. Honestly, I never used trinity limit. Just remember what I said, and keep your distance from him.

EDIT: Ahh, I saw someone already posted my level up trick. The only difference for me is I used Thundaga. You only get 5X exp for every monster Donald and Goofy kill. Using Magnega and Thunder often ensures that they will get less kills.

plutoknight Apr 16, 2006 08:08 AM

Boss in Hollow Bastion 2nd time:

Spoiler:
I had trouble killing Demyx as well. Always be sure to use Wild Dance when you can, even if its not "Kill X forms in Y seconds", it'll do decent damage to Demyx himself as well.

I remember being knocked up into the air a lot, but I think I forgot to equip Aerial Recovery, so maybe try that.

Of all the boss fights in the game, Demyx, Xigbar and Xaldin are my favorites. Fairly tough, but not OMGWTFBBQ We're ALL GOING TO DIE! hard.

Anyway. I j ust want to take the time to say Poster Duty within 30 seconds is harder than any Sephiroth battle -_-;. I've missed it by about .10 of a second (thats a decimal folks) constantly.. -_-;

Freelance Apr 16, 2006 08:15 AM

Wow, those sound like good tips to me, you guys. I'll try those tonight when I get home. :3

I love the FF cameos in this game.

KH-vids.net presents the greatest showdown on earth!
MICKEY,DONALD AND GOOFY VS SEPHIROTH!

Video by Deathspank from http://kh-vids.net/

Deathspank's comments:
Quote:

"Boris and I have been fiddling around with our ARMAXs, and have managed to get codes that will let you play as Mickey in the worlds you choose to play as him. Naturally, we saw this as a nice advantage to get some awesome footage. So, I put Mickey as the main character (I also equipped infinite HP, because Mickey is really weak) in Radiant Garden and went to fight Sephiroth. Here's the video of that battle:

http://files.filefront.com/kh2_micke.../fileinfo.html

Some things to note:

*The reason Mickey becomes unmovable after Sephiroth does a reaction attack is because Mickey does not sustain the same animation as Sora, thus Mickey's character will freeze until he is attacked again.

*Mickey, as far as we can tell, is 100% incapable of doing a finishing combo, which as we all know is necessary to defeat any boss. We just did this fight for fun."
My comments:

Hell this is amusing and fun to watch, hope KH2 fans will enjoy this Classic Disney trio against the One Winged Angel.

too bad mickey doesn't have any more interesting animations, that would have been more entertaining in that fight. Although, were donald and goofy also part of the code? I fought sephiroth in lvl 47 and I've got to say, thats not a good lvl to fight him in especially without goofy and donald.
