Yep, I agree with the rest of you saying the show rocks. I was kind of weary when I saw the first episode at the beginning, but after watching a couple after that I got hooked. There are somany story lines and they all interweave, and its just awesome. There are going to be some pretty intense drama and action in the next few episodes.

Yeh its pretty fresh not having a 'main character' as such. Some how they got it to work very well, everyone has their favourites.

Does anyone know anything about the second season? I'm thinking what keeps this show interesting is that you don't know all about the characters and by the end of the first season, I think we will. So, I'm wondering if they will introduce a whole new set of heroes with new powers for the next season. It might get a little boring if the same heroes deal with a new crisis every season.

Inhert Mar 1, 2007 10:10 PM

it's either that or I think the "explosion thing" will still not be solve at the end of the season one to keep something for the season 2 ...

Oh yeh jeez but it would seem so far the writters are clever enough not to fall into the pot hole. The explosion thing has to resolved this season, i'd be pissed off if I have to watch another 24 episode for them to resolve that problem, this isnt LOST!!!

I think the whole Linderman character will be a big deal next season, the whole back story of the paper company, connection between all the heroes, theres still so much more other than the bomb.

Yeah, I was just gonna say that, too, but you beat me to it. I somehow think they'll manage to stop the bomb this season, but the Linderman mystery will remain unsolved. I think Linderman is gonna be like The X-files' "cancer man", in a sense. He'll stick to the background until they run out of ideas :P

sad

Wow, one of the best episodes the last one. So sad ;_;
(company man episode).

I didn't want it to happen when he said "Go deep".

Another thing, is the music availble in any kind of form? The show has some great songs...

I would like to see some new heroes live to become main characters. It seems all the new heroes just become Sylar fodder.

Besides Wireless, no new hero has lived more than an episode.

Here's an interview from Tim Kring:

Quote:

Kring added: "We could have new people and new storylines and new ideas and new threats and new bad guys and new heroes. So I would prepare the audience for that idea, that it's not just a continuing serialized storyline about only these people. It's a little more the 24 model than the Lost model."

...Kring also confirmed that some of the current heroes just might not survive this season, but added: "Many of your favorites will live to fight again."

The nerve of some people...

I went to WonderCon in SF. And Ali Larter was there to promote and answer questions for Resident Evil: Extinction (with another cast member.)

The first person up for Q&A says ..."your character has got to be the worst character on the series. But it's not your fault! (probably referring to the writers)
...You're halfway decent..."

When he uttered his first sentence, all of the crowd boo'd him. It was ridiculous. Why do dorks like that need to say something like that to the actors, when they should be directing those comments to the writers?

Ali was looking pretty, as usual. She says she enjoys doing the Heroes show more than the RE movie.
Spoiler:
I forgot her exact words, but it seemed like she was afraid her character could die. So anything can happen. Like someone said before, some current heroes might not survive.

Locke Mar 4, 2007 08:03 PM

Global is showing the episode tonight at 9EST again! yay for Canada!

Inhert Mar 4, 2007 09:26 PM

OMG!

Spoiler:
I was right about the new girl being a shapeshifter! XD well I think she's more manipulating people mind to make them think and see that she's someone else

Locke Mar 4, 2007 09:40 PM

Spoiler:

FUCK! I like Mohinder! He's gotten himself quite fucked.

Inhert Mar 4, 2007 09:53 PM

whoa!! this show just get more and more amazing!

Spoiler:
now even the mother of peter is in it!

and wow I can't believe they killed Peter O.O well if he's really death...

Locke Mar 4, 2007 10:00 PM

Spoiler:

Peter's gotta survive Silar again - he's foreseen himself later in the future, and everything has played out so far.

Sepharite Mar 4, 2007 10:04 PM

Weird. I thought this episode was going to be the last... guess there's one more? <3

Spoiler:
I can't wait to see a real fight between Peter and Silar - preferably without Peter running away.

Spoiler:
not exactly, Simone was alive in his vision and yet she's dead now... so it still could be the end of peter :\ he could have been a problem like Sylar is. they both have the potential to be almost invincible and way too powerful. I wonder what the producer will do with their character...

Sousuke Mar 4, 2007 10:15 PM

I can't see that being the last one--that's only episode eighteen. Most series now go for 22 to 26 episodes per season. There's GOT to be a few more.

Plus, they can't just leave the season there. There's gotta be SOME kind of closure. There'd better be, anyway. Heh.

cubed Mar 4, 2007 10:20 PM

Damn I didn't know it was on Global tonight. Anyway it's still playing on NBC tomorrow.. right ?

Sepharite Mar 4, 2007 11:21 PM

Yeah, it's still playing tomorrow, fellow deprived Americans + cubed. Har har har.

Really, Sousuke? I hope you're right - cause I just checked tv.com (prob not a reliable source?) and it doesn't continue after 19. And well, Season 2 apparently has a "new storyline" - so I suppose it shouldn't stop till 4-5 more eps.

aznxinvazn Mar 4, 2007 11:49 PM

I figure since the first half of the season had 11 episodes, shouldn't the second half have 11, too?

RPG Maker Mar 5, 2007 01:08 AM

Wikipedia says 23 episodes but its wiki...lets hope theres more.

makura Mar 5, 2007 07:19 AM

damn...

Spoiler:
Was that Malcom McDowell as Linderman?
Yeah, Mohinder's gotten into some shit. I hope Peter and Sylar's fight won't be as a letdown as the previous one. Some believe that the cut will be Peter's scar, (kinda retarded looking scar) but I thought Peter would be able to fully heal himself like Claire.
BTW, that chick's powers look cool and all, but she's a bitch haha.

Did anyone see the airing of episode of 18 in Canada? (not download)

I read that they didn't show the preview of ep 19 after the show was over (been trying to look for the promo clip.)
If it didn't show, there could be a possibility that the US airing will not show it either because they just might fill it in with a preview of Spider-Man 3 that everyone is anticipating.

Inhert Mar 5, 2007 02:58 PM

omg I totally forgot about the scar!

Spoiler:
I guess peter is dead ^^
