Hidan is all "urgh that felt good" and they're about to go. shika trips up and gets up, swears a bit and runs towards Kakuzu, gets knocked back, when all of a sudden a crow appears out of nowhere. OHNO WE CAN'T SEE

SUPRIRSE!! The reinforcements are Ino and Chouji and some guy wearing sunglasses. Panic from Hidan and Kakuzu, they let go and Chouji takes Shika but WAIT!

Asuma isn't quite dead yet. DAMNIT. The plan is to take him back and try to get him back to life.

But Kakuza won't let money get away that easily, so he goes for the kill when suddenly they both stop. The 3-tails is being sealed and Kakuza and Hidan are needed so it's the typical "WE'LL GET YOU NEXT TIME".

Possible Atatsuki leader revealed!

It looks very much like the Atatsuki leader in the last two pages (spiky hair), even the blurb is all "what is the identity of the one who can call back these fearsome two?" So we might be seeing the identity of the leader next issue. >_> And hopefully it'll put a stop to all these "IT'S THE 4TH" rumours. He's sitting on some megacool statue/droid/weird thing telepathically contacting Hidan and Kakuzu or something before he's all "heh, those guys, always causing trouble".

You think the aka leader is related to Kurenai? I just noticed they've got the same sort of spirally eyes.

Also, Hidan and Kakuzu were not panicking. They were about to kill everyone until the leader ordered them to return at once. Note that they still haven't left yet, so anything can happen. Whatever will happen, it will be a disadvantage for the good guys. Also, the leader is not related to Kurenai, she isn't significant and even if he was, no one would give a shit.

Another thing, the guy with the sunglasses is Aoba. Don't ever forget that name, because he rules.

At least Shikamaru got pwned twice and nearly cried when Asuma got voodoo stabbed.

aww nuts. I wanted Kishi to do something with Kurenai sooner or later, I mean, Asuma was gonna look pretty useless until it was revealed he was the son of the 3rd or whatnot. Also I didn't really sorta mean panicking, just kinda "ohshi"-ness more than anything else.

About Asuma, we kind of saw that coming. But Kurenai's team is the least important. She isn't even that powerful (she became a Jounin when the series started, Neji was Jounin 10 years before reaching her age). On that note, we still don't know what Asuma wanted to tell Kakashi in the hospital. We will find out soon, probably.

About Hidan and Kakuzu, they were merely surprised. Even with so many Konoha nin, they can still fight on. Note how they scarred Shikamaru mentally. When Kakuzu jumped after them to the top of the building, he lost his fucking mind. Ino and Chouji were braver than him. I don't understand why he still has fans. =| It's been noted more often, but Shikamaru had NO stamina at all. He did a couple of shadow moves and after that, he was completely drained. He had more stamina when he fought Temari 3 years ago.

I dont really have much to say since you took all the words and typed it out. The only thing that i dont want is a filler arc about Kurenai and Asuma. I don't need that shit.

As for Shikamaru, He's gonna have to man up a little with that. Otherwise, he'll be looking to be a jounin at a later time. Then again. the other jounin were shitting in their pants. I did like the whole crow thing from one of them but still, There is always two fuckin people going against one akatsuki member. Boring , seriously.

There is one more Akatsuki member to be shown. Hopefully he's a Taijutsu fighter. I prefer a fast fighting scenes like DBZ then see two guys go up against one villian >.>;

I love the Shika Scene and who wouldn't cry shed a tear for their beloved mentor..BUT Asuma surviving(which will def HAPPEN) will ruin the scene..that is so like Kishi! The Glasses guy was kinda cool,kinda weird i forgot he even existed :p. I'm really curious to seeing the leader's face...:)

Chapter was pretty cool. I liked that crow jutsu that jounin guy used. For a moment I thought it was one of Shikamaru's jutsu.

I'm eager to see the Akatsuki Leader, but I'm hoping the one talking to the others is the final member to be revealed. I'd rather get to know these characters early on instead of having them show up at certain parts of the plot only to die after a fight.

Yes, that WAS the Akatsuki leader. You could clearly see that he had spiked hair and guess what other unknown member had spiked hair on the color page of 317? The leader. The other person is probably a female with shoulder long hair and a flower and that was definitely not her sitting there. It's that simple.

Aaaaaaand Asuma's dead. Shikamaru seems to take over his last smoke while everyone is in the rain. There are only two spoiler pics now, but the outcome is pretty clear.

FINALLY Asuma died. At least Kishimoto gave him a good death, seeing Shika blew the last(?) puff of his cig was awesome.

Seeing him smoke his last stove was manga's best scene of all time. As I always said to many people, Asuma wasn't that great of a character. He was boring and I hope to see Kurenai meet the same fate in the later chapters.

I think I'm starting to miss Kakashi,Yamato and Naruto XD
