MGS4 = Redfaction 3!


The Gekko's legs are presumably unaffected by small arms fire. Raiden's HF Blade can cut through them because the blade is much sharper than other swords, it was designed to cut virtually anything. And like Pietak said, The Gekkos wouldn't be nearly as agile if they were weighed down by lots of armor. It's not like they really need alot of armor anyway, if anything big enough to destroy them is attacking (like missiles or something) it seems like they can just leap out of the way.

One thing I noticed from Raiden after having him on my desktop for over a weak is that his vsior is attached to his skull. perhaps he ha some cyberneic enhancements in addition to his exoskeleton.

You have to remember these Gekkos arent even real Metal Gears, everyone thinks they are. Kojima even said in a review that they arent really Metal Gears just weapons.

Metal Gears are meant for heavy assault and primarly firing nuclear weapons (from the ones designed in MGS3 to MGS2 if we were to look in a chronological order).

Those Gekkos thingies are just inspired by their design and meant for anti-infantry/vehicle combat.

Raiden is AI controlled and his blood will be white.Thats why he has pale look in trailer(like a ghost).
He has turned in to cyborg.

The grave is of The Boss(80% confirmed).

Not wriiten,Kojima said 'that hint is there in the trailer and what you thinking(about whose grave it is) is probably right'.The journalist said that we bet is Boss's so they are thinking is probably right.
And he was asked if the white leaves are tribute to MGS3,kojima said 'yes'.

I think it was in the OPM scan where Kojima wouldn't say who's grave it was but that it's probably who OPM are thinking of. Nothing about 80% confirmed is mentioned.

That said, yeah you can pretty much tell it's The Boss' grave by comparing the 2 gravestones from MGS3 and the MGS4 E3 2K6 trailer:

Breakdown of new info in PSM:

• Raiden, for all intents and purposes, is pretty much a cyborg. Looks like The Patriots didn't give him his blood back so he's still got the white artificial blood in his system which is why he looks so pale.
• The MK II robot and Solid Eye are still in the game, you just won't get them until later on. Chronologically the events in the TGS trailer takes place after some of those in the E3 one.
• The game begins in the Middle East with the U.N sending Snake in.
• Info on the OCTO-CAM: You must remain completely still and wait a few seconds for it to work. Of course enemies will be able to see Snake's face and hair since the CAM doesn't affect that which is why the Camo Index and face paints are back!
• Snake can now wear enemy uniforms to blend in with their troops as seen in the E3 trailer.
• CQC will be back but more advanced than the MGS3 system. Snake will also have quite a few new moves..
• Not 100% decided but the "!" and "?" might be returning for MGS4.

Ooo, great capture Simo! But I wonder why Snake would be visting the Boss's grave. I mean, it's not like he actually met her.

And Raiden without his natural blood, completely forgot about that too. I wonder if Naomi is the one who supplied the technology to Raiden then. Well, we see another possible motive for Raiden, besides Olga's child, he's probably after his blood too.

BTW, didn't Kojima mention a while back that there will be weapon customizations for MGS4? If so, I can't wait to see how that's dealt with. It'll be sweet to use a grenade launcher with the M4/M16.

Well she's pretty much the catalyst for the entire MGS saga. With Snake at her grave it probably means he's discovered the information on her and possibly Big Boss.

Well the technology for Raiden's suit is the same tech that Olga's cyborg suit was made out of. Chances are Otacon or Meryl, since she's the leader of FOX-HOUND now, stole the technology from The Patriots for Raiden either to keep him alive because of the artificial blood or he volunteered..

There will be. Kojima confirms as much in the interview and even talks about the possibility of the whole Cure System possibly coming back because right now the team is in a heated discussion over whether it should return or not.

BTW if you guys are still after the HD trailer then try and find a hook up for IGN Insider's version. It's 1GB in filesize but it's the best HD version available online. :)
