yeah now it's up to the devs to patch their games to make them compatible with in-game music and trophies...

A lot of developers are not adding trophy support, and I highly doubt they will for music either.

Burnout, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank, Resistance, Call of Duty, among others, all are confirmed not to be getting trophies in the near future, if not at all. It kind of makes you wonder what kind of relationship Sony has with its developers. Do they just do shit for the hell of it, or are they just throwing out new features because people want them?

For all of the time it took for us to get trophies, I kind of figured they'd have some sort of deal with developers or conference or something to try to sway them to support all games. Since most of the PS3 games I was looking forward to have come out and I own already, I kind of feel like I wasted something here.

Of course, developers don't HAVE to do anything and I respect their right not to, but it's also quite silly. Adding trophy support to your games would probably take a very small amount of time to do something to get new consumers to buy games as well as have people yank it off their shelves to play it again. Isn't that the kind of positive attention developer's want?

I'm seriously confused here. And don't get me started on the music feature or in-game messaging.

I think the whole "trophy" thing is Sonys way of battling XBOX, and they've probably said that too. I mean the whole XBOX Achievement lets people say "Oh look what I did" And the Trophys are the same way.

I mean for some games I can see it, but hopefully more games will incorporate it now. And they freaking better before the RPG slam because having to play an RPG over to get trophies would suck.

Insomniac came out and said they weren't gonna retrofit their games, but going forward they'd add trophy support. I assume most developers will take that stance.

Criterion confirm themselves that Burnout Paradise will have trophies and even that they will be retroactive...

If they can do it I'm pretty sure others will, well probably minus the retroactive part.

Anyway the point is that now that the feature is officially release, we can certainly expect future games to have them.

I don't know if anyone else has come across this problem, but I'm having a real difficult time putting my CC in the damn store. All the information is correct but it keeps telling me "no its not!" when I'm looking at my stupid statement and putting it in exactly how it says to. I dunno what else to do.

As promised in E3 we can link up our psn ID with our PSU accounts and message and add friends and do all sorts of things away from your ps3.

In my case, it's because sony doesn't like money from international banks.

So, has anyone checked out the video store yet? I don't recall hearing much discussion on the matter. It's good stuff; tons of shows, really good picks like the entire season of Arrested Development, the latest season of Aqua Teen, etc.

Well I can't since I'm in Canada and Canada store didn't get the video store... something about our law that are different or something... so I'm guessing it will take some time before we even get one movie to rent...

I checked it out, and from what I saw it was alright, but not great. The TV shows and anime seemed good and reasonbly priced, but some of them had missing episodes (unforgivable in the case of 24). This was when it first came out though, so it could be fixed now. The movies, on the other hand, seemed way too overpriced. I guess the rentals were cheap enough, but the price to buy some of them was ridiculous.

I guess this is the place to ask for this...

Currently I need to upgrade the HDD of my ps3 (60GB model), and I would like to hear some advice.

Always been a WD fan myself. My external drive is 320GBs, and my internal on my PC is 500GBs alongside an 80GB, and all three are, obviously, Western Digital. Both of those are the same RPM and same cache size, so I say go with the better brand.

Not to mention this particular review --

Pros: Tons of space, tiny little form factor. Easy upgrade to my PS3 (no striped screws). Now using my old drive as a portable USB drive.
Cons: I was hoping it would cost $5.00
Other Thoughts: Good price, great product. As always great NewEgg service.

I don't quite know if this will help or is relevant, but I tried for 30 minutes to confirm my cc details for the store back when I first got the PS3 and then through some random spark of inspiration all I had to do was remove my apartment number from the address line and then it finally worked. Hopefully it's not something small like that, or some capitalization issue.

It is EXTREMELY fickle. A dash and "rd" at the end of my street name was messing me up. Call your financial institution and ask them the EXACT address you're listed as; that's the only thing that will work.

So my PS3 stopped reading discs the other day. Would boot up into the XMB, but would not load up any disc put into it-CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray... anything. Did some scouring online and such a problem had happened to others. thankfully I had the foresight to buy into those Product Replacement Plans from Gamestop and got myself a new 80GB.

...Now I'm stuck with two copies of MGS4.

I've heard about that. It's the Blu-Ray drive which has died, as far as I've heard. Not much to do except from sending it to service:(

Did you guys check out the PSN store yet? Apparently there's supposed to be a 50% sale on many of the PSN games...I'm picking up PixelJunk Monsters and PAIN as soon as I get home.

Many? There's a select few games that are on half price.

I picked up Rocketmen & PAIN.

The only game worth $5 in the sale is PixelJunk Monsters, not even Encore. I already have the original so it's useless to me.

I wouldn't even play Rocketmen or Pain if Sony paid me $5.

Anybody hear about that "super omega major bigger then killzone 2 and everything else combined" announcement about an announcement that was coming August 3rd?

Turns out it's a new joint effort between Sony London Studios, Sony Liverpool, and Incognito. Looks like it's going to be a game called 'Hardware 2', which is a sequel to a game I have never heard of in the first place, which everybody says was only average in the first place. Makes it a little hard to get excited about :/.

Still, part of the description makes it sound like it could be fun:Sounds like Warhawk, Twisted Metal and that new MAG game all got together and had an orgy.

50 vs. 50 (or 1 vs. 99) and a fully destructible and interactive environment. I guess more info with screens and videos is coming August 3rd, so we'll see...

I am actually having a fucking ball with these two games right about now. Probably more PAIN than Rocketmen, but I don't regret either at this point in time.

Really? My impressions of them were terrible. PAIN seemed too much of a 10 minute game and Rocketmen was... Rocketmen.

I am about to grab the PixelJunk Eden demo though.

If so, I thought that game was horrible. I couldn't stand playing that for more than 2 minutes. This of course was the demo.
I also tried the pixeljunk eden demo, It was interesting. Didn't really get the point other than collecting those little spores and making things grow. If anything it looks visually eye refreshing.

All of those games are embarrassing, and should have been free to begin with. There are no sales pertaining to PSN that could possibly be worth getting excited about, except for a $3 sale on PSX games.

Can I get Uncharted for $5.
