It's a bit premature to assume that Sony will be half-assed with motion sensoring, isn't it? They didn't half-ass controller vibration, did they? They didn't half-ass analog control, did they?

For the record, I'm keeping an open and equal mind for both Sony and Nintendo until this E3 finishes. I'm going to wait and make my decisions after I see both systems in action.

Is it safe to assume all news from the Sony Conference will go in this thread? I can't wait to see what they'll reveal. This week is going to be quite exciting.

It's cryptic, it's cool, and hopefully, it's realtime.

Are there any places that will have live coverage of E3? Mainly the Sony bits. Last year I missed the whole thing and had to download videos and read articles. This year with the unveiling of the Wii and all that info on the PS3 I would really like to see things as they come out.

Soldier May 8, 2006 02:41 AM

Gamespot had live coverage when the PS3 was first unveiled, so I expect them to have it for this. I'm sure ps3qj.net will have it as well.

Kilroy May 8, 2006 07:46 AM

I really hate living in a completely different timezone when E3 rolls out. I have to sleep and attend the university before I can drool over juicy bits of info;_;

Anyways, those Sony ads looks cool. Let's hope what they showcase tonight is equally impressive...

Soldier May 8, 2006 02:31 PM

What time does the Sony conference start again (EST)? I'm going to the movies and dinner later, so I'll probably miss the debut. I hope everyone submits all available links and news in this thread, so I can check it out first thing.

Pietak May 8, 2006 02:38 PM

7:00PM for easterners marks the start of the SONY press conference.

Stealth May 8, 2006 03:32 PM

4 PM Pacific Time, 5 Mountain, 6 Central, and yes, 7 Eastern.

Gamespot will have live coverage of it for free.

Soldier May 8, 2006 05:51 PM

Well, I'm off to dinner and the movies. I hope to see this thread expand by 20 pages by the time I get back. :)

Paste that link into your Windows Media Player to watch the conference without all those shitty ads.

Stealth May 8, 2006 06:04 PM

Gamespot is being extremely slow right now. :/

Grubdog May 8, 2006 06:08 PM

They're late!

Technophile May 8, 2006 06:10 PM

Aren't we suppose to already see the conference by now? Gamespot's livestreaming is only showing a shitty BestBuy ad and then.. nothing.

El Ray Fernando May 8, 2006 06:12 PM

Either the conference is late getting started or Gamespot's servers are being raped because of all the people wanting to watch the video stream.

FatsDomino May 8, 2006 06:13 PM

Yeah, I'm only getting the best buy commercial too. Shouldn't we get a waiting screen like we did last year?

Just paste it into your media player or browser

TheReverend May 8, 2006 06:15 PM

I would vote rape mostly.

But the word "LIVE" when used with streaming video.... ummmm.... well basically it is used very liberally.

KnowsNothing May 8, 2006 06:16 PM

I've got a waiting screen, it says "stay tuned." At first I didn't get it, but I reloaded the media player and it showed up.

Grubdog May 8, 2006 06:17 PM

It is live, the conference has jsut been deleayed.

Personally I wish there was an audio feed. I care more about what is announced/said then seeing the ubEr-graFixs!

Infernal Monkey May 8, 2006 06:21 PM

This is the first time I've been able to stream these things at home. E3 2006's going pretty well so far! *Delayed forever*

Technophile May 8, 2006 06:23 PM

Urgh ok, so apperantly it's gonna start within a freaking hour. lovely

randomwab May 8, 2006 06:23 PM

Jesus there still queuing :(

El Ray Fernando May 8, 2006 06:24 PM

Quote:

Hideo Kojima is stuck in the queue. He looks bored.
Even he's waiting.

EDIT: I saw a computer screen/projector (not sure) then it went blank, and the 'stay tuned' screen has come up again.

EDIT: The Playstation logo with Guns N Roses Sweet Child of mine playing in the background now. Still seems like it will be at least 30 mins other websites are saying.
