I know a lot of people are requesting that I update the first page, and definetely plan to. It's just going to take a while for me to gather up all the useful links (finding a working torrent with the 500 characters installed would be helpful).
And I have one more row left to add characters to. After that, I'll sort out the list by removing the useless/uninteresting characters, then sorting each one by category (street fighter, anime, DBZ, etc). |

I have quite a bit of mugen characters my self, me and my bro play together alot. Thanks for that screenpack topic creator! Also, like others said, I don't want to sound like an ass, but I've looked for Ukyo Tachibana from samurai showdown of what seems to be forever, and I just can't seem to find him. He's my bros favorite, mines Amakusa, and we'd love it if any one could help. |

Wooshaq is right about wharehousing here especially you vboy. The reason why mugen went down and didnt stay around is cause people just gave out others work without asking or even giving any credit to someone who worked very hard to make such a great character. Most of the reasons you dont see the links to creators sites is cause of warehousing and people killing of mugen that way. Sure were all pirates cause we dont have time to make the characters ourselves or dont have the talent but thats not the way the creators see and it thats why most of the good ones have left mugen for good.

If the authors really care about being credited for their works, then they shouldn't worry at all because if a character is good, oh trust me everyone will know about it (Evil Ken/Ryu by Reu anyone? or DragonClaw?) and we will give credit where it's due. It just seems pointless to me when you don't share these characters you created, because that's how you really kill Mugen. Personally, I think the more people who know about Mugen the better, because they might take an interest and create more chars for us all to play with. The lesser we share, the lesser chance we'll see that happening right? Don't get me wrong, I understand it takes a good amount of time ripping and coding these chars, and I respect every authors for that. But claiming credits among SNK's and Capcom's original works as your own, with the exception of original chars created from the ground up, I think you're in the wrong place. |
So here is a question for ya. How do you add music to mugen? I am curretnly using EVE. I haven't been able to find any help on this...so if you can give me a quick run down that would be awsome.

Lazy people like me.. WTF? I don't see why it matters where we get the chars from. If anything, they should be flattered by that. People are only helping them spread their works so more people can enjoy their works. For God's sakes this is the internet, things get spread around like that, aren't they aware of this?
But whatever, you got your POVs and I got mine. I thought this thread was to keep Mugen alive by sharing whatever we could find. What I did was to save people's time, because that's something a lot of us don't have. And apparently the Mugen "elitists" have a problem with that. Some "Community" it is huh... WHINERS KILL MUGEN, NOT WAREHOUSES!!! |
vboy people have egos and those egos make them want to be appreciated for there works. I browsed many a website getting characters and talking to authors while you went and clicked maybe two things and got a torrent full of characters and stages. It pisses them off because they arent getting any credit and no one looks at the credit pages in the character files cause they dont care they just want to download and play/watch. Most places that warehouse characters dont even put up author names they just have a dwn load here and you click and go on your merry way. So its your opinion that whiners kill mugen i think your wrong and that warehouses kill mugen.
