Hysterical night on L4D. Things that were witnesse during No Mercy:
* The last two survivors were running to the saferoom in The Apartments. Daravon and Goodhand, at the last possible second, pounced and smoker pulled them before they could close the door, killing them in the little hallway before the bathroom. * Level 2 featured so much gangbangin' zombie action that I can't remember some of it because we were laughing so hard. The survivors got pulled off the ledge by the window at least twice, maybe three times. I also pulled off my best Hunter pounce yet - someone was being swarmed at the botom of the ladder of the lift. A second survivor went to help and was shooting from the top of the lift, downward to kill some of the zombies. From ground level, I jumped up, just barely touched the second survivor - and then pulled him all the way back down. * Level 3: We were ontop of the Hospital, waiting for the survivors to turn the corner and run into the witch. I ran out and boomed on two of them (I think it was two? I died immedeately) and in the chaos, the Witch started ruining one of the survivor's shit. Daravon smoker pulls one off of the ledge and then out of fucking nowhere like Goddamned Batman ontop of the Joker - Goodhand Hunter pounces on the last standing survivor and over the ledge and out the window those two pixies went. Everyone died within about two minutes of incredible gangfuckery. |
Left 4 Dead 'Crash Course' campaign DLC free on PC, $7 on 360 -.this September
New map for L4D with a supposed "streamlined" versus mode that'll make matches only last 30 minutes. Also $7 for circle owners but free for pc people. :fupom: |
If it means for more epic GFF Versus on the 360 and yelling at Mo0, then so be it! I'll pay the 7 bux. :(
|
It's crap that 360 people have to pay for it, but not unexpected. I'll gladly pay $7 for a new campaign, though. A nice surprise that they would actually bother releasing a DLC campaign now that Left 4 Dead 2 is coming so soon.
|
What does this 30 minute versus thing mean exactly? I don't like the sound of it.
|
It's supposed to be a bridge between the first two campaigns, so I'm assuming it means that it's shorter in length, as opposed to being timed.
|
More on that good news, tinged with "fuck you Microsoft" for 360 owners:

Sounds like it'll be ace, though bloody annoying that 360 owners have to pay. That can only be down to Microsoft controlling pricing strategy, unless Valve just hate console players. |
Valve hates consoles, but I doubt they'd take it out on the players.
I'm wondering what they mean by "a recharge timer for infected teammates." It's already boring enough playing as an infected when you get offed and have to wait ~20 seconds to respawn, so having to wait even longer might really suck. Unless they let us play as normal infected in the meantime. |

Thread bumpage, but it's worth asking again.
So Valve announced that Crash Course would be available on XBL by next week. Anyone else getting this so we could get some rounds in on this? |
I'm in.

LEHAH SHALL BE WITH YOU, SIR

Those zombies don't stand a chance.

Me too, I'm down.

Hmmm, perhaps not if they're randomly going to up the price for what should be free:

Not to cast aspersions on your source, but:

I have no idea of Steam adheres to regions, but bear in mind that Eurogamer is a European gaming site (and that version is the UK focussed one). Though it is possible that it hasn't hit Steam yet.
Also, from the same (updated) page: Quote:

Yeah, so I woke up this morning, already saw Shake Appeal playing it, and was still so groggy that I didn't even notice I paid 800 for it -_-. I'm curious what, if anything, they'll do for people who paid 800. I'm sure there's a good chunk of people who honestly probably didn't know any better as well.
|
How is the campaign though?
|
Nice demo. When's the new campaign coming out?
Enjoy paying for that, 360 players. |
