I'm going to start scanning tonight, I've barely any time so far. I'll really try to get it done tonight, but I don't think the damn pages will fit in my scanner.... Double Post: Work is progressing. I'm using macro mode on my camera to take legible pictures, so that the text can be read. I've got about 10 pages to edit, and re-work. Now, these aren't the same as scans, but they're better than nothing at all. Should be finished by tomorrow night on YSI. |
if anyone wants the real HD version of the 15 min MGS 4 trailer i made a torrent here: http://www.gm-realm.net/?page=torrentinfo&tid=171
|
Thanks, though the IGN one isn't really HD.
|
the one with ign insider is, its 480p.
Double Post: the res is 1280 x 720 btw while some of the other hd trailers look much better this is the best thats out so far. |
They just made the trailer larger, not HD.
|
Yeah, what a rip. I hope OPM has the trailer on their DVD soon.
|
Okay, it's being uploaded to YSI right now. A few pages are out of order, becuase I had to re-shoot them to make the letters legible.
I'll update when it's been published. Expect WinRar format (.rar) |
Can't wait.
|
|
Leechin started,quite big.
Big thanks. |
Did the best I could. Hell, it's good enough to read at least.
|

Hantei might like to know the brochure features the Medicom RAH Solid Snake figure along with the Sideshow Toys logo at the bottom of the advertisement. Good luck trying to get some info out of Sideshow about any preorder plans or date for the figure since they won't reveal any information on products that haven't been announced yet... |
I am more hyped and nuts about MGS PO (PSP) than MGS4.
The Metalgears in MGS4 doing kungfu and executing spin kicks is rather stupid for my liking. I am more concerned about Bigboss storyarc and i simply can't wait to find out the missing 'link'. |
I love the Gekkos. The series is definietly moving into cyberpunk town. These Gekkos are the true realization of Grannin's dream. Rex seems like (to quote Optimus Prime) "junk" compared to these new gears (in terms of bipedal capabilities). I could definitely see the Metal Gear universe turning into Z.O.E. 50-100 years into its future as Metal Gears become more common-place weapons.
Thanks for the ShowMaybe scans Pietak. You are truely one with Metal Gear fandom to own one! |
Look who's back!
http://www.blog.konami.jp/gs/img/hid..._060513_01.jpg http://www.blog.konami.jp/gs/img/hid..._060513_02.jpg Mr Harry Gregson-Williams. :) |
Why are they looking at some bag, while Harry's calling someone?
Anyways, good to see him back. MGS is not MGS without Gregson's spiffy music. |
I don't get one thing, its fine to have bipedal robots with smooth movements and agility butwhy to invest money on type like Gekko's and make them abundant,a gear whose legs are so vulnerable and armour less.
The military always go for well armoured assets when they invest money on such mass production inventions. |
They sacrifice the mobility, for startling agility, to not even require the need for heavy amour on the leg portions.
Remember, this isn't the US military, these are MPC's |
MGS4
‘The trailer’s key revelation is that Snake will be equipped with an active camouflage system called ‘Octo-cam’- a fusion of Octopus and Camouflage. Kojima is keen to point out that an Octopus can change it’s colour, pattern and shape - mimicking bumps, holes and texture. Using this, Snake can ‘melt’ into the backgrounds, mirroring the dimensions of his environment – a graphical effect only possible on the PS3.’ ‘Stealth is still a key priority. ‘‘You will not have it switched on all the time and your face won’t be invisible’’, reveals Kojima. ‘‘But if you stay still the suit will blend in automatically. It will return to normal if you move.’’ Scenarios will be dynamic, so if your covering wall explodes, you’ll have to quickly lay flat to merge with the floor. ‘‘You might want to avoid using the Octo-Cam all the time’’ advises Kojima. ‘‘Because if you rest by a toilet, you will absorb it’s pattern, and that will not be stylish’’.’ ‘Sadly, the environments may not be as destructive as first thought. ''We want the entire scenery to be interactive, but even on the PS3 there are limits. In some buildings you can destroy everything, but in other rooms only certain scenery – it should be easy to tell them apart’’. For example, in the trailer the Metal Gear destroys the stairs, but the main platforms remain intact.’ ‘Snake will have a variety of new moves to explore with – including one inspired by Kojima’s military training, but this is secret.’ ‘MGS4 will embrace the PS3’s 6D movement function, but how is still to be decided. ‘’Perhaps you could use it for the FP view, or to shake down guards for items (like in the past MGS games), but nothing is decided’’.’ ‘MGS4 will also link with PSP’S MGS PO, but the format is still been discussed. ‘’It will be linked with the ongoing MG-Online project, which may be included with MGS4 or released separately’’. All 3 are linked.’ ‘Our suggestion that Snake may have to complete his mission before his countdown (6 months) runs out was met with a curious response. ‘’We can’t comment. But a time limit makes a game more dramatic, so it will be included to some extent.’’.’ ‘Kojima admits that Snake’s old age reflects his attitude to working on MGS4. ‘‘We wanted to show Snake’s human side, that he is hurt and aged but will still battle on. I’m over 40 years old and still designing MGS games, in many ways I’m also on a battlefield.’’. So, is Snake’s fate a metaphor for Kojima’s involvement with MGS ? ‘‘Yes … my Metal Gear will end. The series belongs to Konami, and the fans, but I have the liberty to stop, and this will be my last MGS game.’’ They also asked if Snake will be able to shave in MGS4. He said no. MGS Portable Ops. ‘You’ll be able to recruit familiar characters, like Sigint, Zero and Paramedic to your unit, plus other legends from the MGS series.’ ‘In an unusual twist, if someone dies during Wi-Fi play, they can’t be revived – new players need to be recruited in real-life by turning on their PSPs.’ ‘The camera will be automatic to compensate for the PSP’s lack of right analog stick, though manual adjustments are possible, as well as a First Person View mode (Kojima revealed this to us before realizing he was meant to keep this secret)’ MGS Digital Graphic Novel ‘Players will be able to scan the pages for data, used to fill in an interactive wire-frame matrix – looks like a spinning cube – of MGS info.’ You can't shave!,now this is complete fuck,my hype is even more decreased. To top it off,the environements are less destructable, so much for PS3. |
Well main platforms and such, its not like the entire world would be destructable, I mean if they made a FPS game with that being the main focus maybe but they have tons of other content and stuff they wanna put in so thats reasonable. I'm sure there will be ENOUGH destrucable stuff just not everything. The shaving thing being gone is kinda sad cause that would be cool but I'm more interested in the new moves and the over 100 weapon combinations he mentioned before, hopefully that stays in the game.
