Enceph, do you have any more No te va gustar? I really like that album, but I can't find anything else by them. If you do, can you upload it? I'd really like that.

Paco May 18, 2007 11:12 PM

No... I'm sorry. I don't even have any of their albums myself just heard them through friends and stuff. If I come across any, I'll be sure to pass them on to you.

Also, I thought we already had that Jaga Jazzist album because I'm sure that the copy that I have I got from here but as it turns out it's not in our index. Great fucking album, Will.

Will May 19, 2007 02:31 AM

Yeah, I was surprised it wasn't there.

It's funny--I never watch any of the music TV stations, but I flipped onto one the other day and caught the Amy Winehouse music video. I don't know if it was her or the song, but for some reason I left it on. XD Now if I only found my Zen I could go chill out and listen to the album.

EDIT: All right, I had no idea anyone was making music like that these days. I love her voice and I love what she's doing with it!

So I recently saw Mono in concert, along with Grails and World's End Girlfriend (fantastic night). Yamanamama uploaded some WEG recently, and there's tons of Mono already up there, but I did upload their latest album and the collaboration between the two.

As soon as I find the complete albums I'll upload some stuff by Grails, since they are really good as well.

wvlfpvp May 20, 2007 06:43 PM

So yeah. Expect some Sleepytime Gorilla Museum soon.

wvlfpvp May 21, 2007 10:20 PM

OK, so the Sleepytime Gorilla Museum is there. Soon, I'll be reuploading the Celldweller album; the one that Moon has on his FTP is a 128 rip that's missing the three cells. It's a bad rip that's floating around on Internet.

So yeah. Moon, if you read this, redownload Celldweller. From This post. If it's a rapidshare.com addy.

(The Celldweller's uploaded now)

Will May 22, 2007 02:11 PM

Wow, great upload. I had been meaning to check out Sleepy Time Gorilla Museum, but it totally slipped my mind.

Will May 28, 2007 05:30 PM

Nice contribution, Moon. I'm especially enjoying That Fucking Tank.

wvlfpvp May 29, 2007 09:54 AM

I may have to re-reupload the celldweller. I was looking through the MP3s that I uploaded, and they aren't single-source. There's a few tracks in 320, some in 128 and some in 192. I'll rerip sometime in the near future and let y'all know about the upload.

el jacko Jun 1, 2007 05:08 PM

Dee, thank you for that Tally Hall album! I'd heard Banana Man awhile back, and thought it was cool, but didn't hear about them until I saw your upload.

Anyway, I uploaded some more post-rock yesterday. Anyone who enjoyed the A Silver Mt. Zion and Explosions in the Sky from awhile back should check these out.

wvlfpvp Jun 1, 2007 09:58 PM

Hey, jacko . . . the sixth track in the second sparowes album's title is too long for us Windows users, and doesn't unzip. Can you upload that one separately?

Done and done. the song itself is actually only about 2 minutes long, heh. If you need anything else, just ask.

Paco Jun 4, 2007 12:38 PM

knkwzrd is officially the best wzrd EVER. Much props for that R. Crumb compilation! I've been looking for that one for AGES. <3

wvlfpvp Jul 2, 2007 10:37 PM

So . . . can I do a couple of genre requests?

Anybody have any good dark ambient or ambient noise stuff? I mean actual ambient noise, not just noise.

knkwzrd Jul 2, 2007 11:00 PM

To be honest, I'm not sure of the difference between noise and ambient noise really, but I probably have some of it.

You might try this out (it's Nurse With Wound - Salt Marie Celeste), I'm not an expert on the official barriers between genres but it definitely fits the description of what I'd call "dark ambient".

You might also check out this one (by the same artist), although it's definitely not ambient.

knkwzrd Jul 4, 2007 09:02 AM

See, I thought of posting Nurse With Wound but figured it was too much "just noise".

Paco Jul 5, 2007 08:01 PM

Great upload, Schaden. I actually have a signed copy of that vinyl from when they came here to Visalia.

Schadenfreude Jul 6, 2007 04:17 AM

:jealous:

Gonna upload some more MxBx soon probably. As well as some of my latest purchases.

Perhaps noise = Merzbow while ambient noise = uh.. Anenzephalia?

Dark Nation Jul 11, 2007 02:28 AM

Just uploaded three albums:

Ohene - Nina Simone By...Ohene
Nas - Illmatic
DangerDoom - The Mouse and The Mask

You can find those here

Fireman Joe Jul 13, 2007 08:18 PM

Hey I was wondering if somebody could please upload Estradasphere. The current link seems to be dead. =(
Thanks

Moon Jul 13, 2007 08:23 PM

Oh, ok.

Arkhangelsk Jul 14, 2007 04:18 AM

~yaaaay, thanks for uploading the Jackdaw stuff, Merv!
:D

knkwzrd Jul 16, 2007 11:21 PM

So I finally got around to listening to that Amy Winehouse album, Ence, and I gotta say, it's a lot better than I was expecting it to be. That's a quality record.

Paco Jul 17, 2007 12:19 AM

Yeah man, I fucking dug that album like you wouldn't believe. I saw her at Coachella and I fucking LOVED her set, though she sounded a bit different; had an almost deeper and raspier voice. She has another album called Frank but overall I find Back To Black to be a grittier sound for her and the one I like more. I'll upload that one somewhere and send it to you just so you can have both.
