Hi-res = instant giveaway?

The coloring somehow makes me think of the new Kanon, but the lines look almost pencil drawn, so I'm not sure.

I'm personally reminded of Beyond the Clouds, the Promised Place. It's got that level of detail to it.

I'm going to have to agree with Styphon, anything from Makoto is pretty distinct in style. We maybe wrong though.

5 cm per second? is that even subbed yet? or perhaps it's from one of the trailers? i'm hoping it'll be as good as Hoshi no Koe and Beyond the Clouds, the Promised Place.

Ah, I was wrong about the anime, but not about the person! lol I never even heard of 5cm per second =/.

5 centimeters per second is Makoto Shinkai's latest work, scheduled to be released early 2007. It'll be a collection of 3 short stories, though I can't say for sure whether or not they are all actually connected. One thing you can count on for sure though is Shinkai's trademark jawdropping detailed art.

Two trailers have been released so far. First trailer is about 45 seconds, second is roughly twice that and features (I assume) the film's main vocal theme. Check AnimeSuki.

Beware of Triad's subs, though. Unless your computer is good, the trailers (the second in particular) will pulverize your PC. PTP is a safe bet for those of you with more mortal hardware.

Gah, I just watched the trailers, so damn sweet. I always get goosebumps from these trailers, and I can't stop watching them. Now I won't be able to wait until release =(.

Im guna say thats gata be Fist of the North Star, but if it is, some one needs to read the rules, cause if its not the 90's or later, it has to have a year associated with it.
Looks like the scene i have seen in an AMV where the throws and arrow in this guys eye.
Anyway, mine was YuYu, i mean Yuusuke was in it, of course it was :p

Ah... I knew I recognized the first two guys from somewhere. The guy in the second pic clicked it for me. It's from Please Save My Earth. He's one of the main characters, Shion iirc. (The two from the first pic were part of the characters that went to the meetings.)
